Most of us Canadians will probably be off eating turkey on Monday, so...happy thanksgiving in advance, folks!

Haha, to an American in Canada it just means a day off. Not that I celebrate Thanksgiving in the States either.

I'm an american who is in Canada, as well; but I married a Canadian and live here now (which I really like, although I miss Neiman Marcus terribly).

And yes I am curious about why the achievment makes it look like as if you necessarily commanded him to. Of course I use that achievement name and description as proof (among many) that one can rp that Alistair is a subordinate and that you can indeed command and order him (because some think this is not a valid way to rp). But that description is way too limited it does not accurately describe situations where you don't command him to do it.

I don't think it's even possible to order him to do it, though. He begins the conversation by volunteering to do it even if he hates you. You can't order someone to do something they just volunteered for.

I was going to marry Alistair this play through with my CE (using marry anyone mod), but then Alistair said, "I've always wanted a family." while in the fade. Now I'm having second thoughts. If I return to the Alienage, Alistair can have the family he's always wanted, but I can do so much good as queen for my people. So confused!

You are his family.  Nothing about a family says he has to have children.  If you love him, you give him that unconditional love and acceptance he's always craved, you become his family and that's all he needs.

Just my take on it.

If you're going to ignore game lore and have an elf as queen then I don't see why you can't ignore game lore and decide that you guys have several children together (unless your Warden hates kids).

Impossible. He's at least no longer pissed but it's still awkward. Maybe in the distant future if you keep hanging around he'll change his mind but by game's end, no.

Good to know. I had an alternative fic to my "canon" one in mind and this fits perfectly.

But I think you can tell him to go right ahead or something implying that you obviously never considered doing it yourself in the first place. So you can rp that you were about to order him, before he volunteered.

Ok Alistarians, I think I have "King Alistair's Armor" working.  Much thanks to Inclemency, who was testing it on her computer all day.  Again, its Kal Hirol style armor that will spawn in youe inventory if Alistair is king, and Loghain is dead.  Follow the readme carefuly.

Let me know if anything isn't working.

I just had to order my husband (who frequents the Loghain threads) away from posting in here. I happened to comment that we had a brief "Loghain and the battle of Osagar"  interlude this afternoon. He's normally afraid to look in here since the one time he did he was scared off by Alicorn. Image IPB Just doing my part to keep the thread on topic. Image IPB

On another note is it appropriate for Alistair to be checking out Elined's hind quarters during Mother Hannah's blessing?

He just meant to bow his head but, being young and male, found himself rather distracted.

I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying having this armour in the game, to actually have Alistair be able to wear it after the Landsmeet.  Great job!

*nods*  I should have been more specific in what I meant.  Parody can be fun a lot of the time, and I know it exists.  What I meant was more specifically something like the "Princess CousCous" phenomenon, where the parody of something so specific becomes a meme in its own right.  I mean, good lord, it even has it's own name.  Is any other origin treated to something like that?  If it has, I've missed it and would dearly love to know.

Victim of its own popularity, I think.  There's no reason to parody an origin that is mostly ignored.

I would almost buy that except there's no "Prince CousCous" parody. And I highly doubt there are enough female players that the number of HNF outweighs the number of HNM.

*shrugs*  Whatever, it's not like I can't just ignore it.  Just kinda frustrating is all.

Okay, here is my version of Prince CousCous. He's a pretty horrible person...

I can safely say all my Couslands would gut him and nail his skin to the wall as a trophy.

Alistair died. :crying:

No, no, no.

You wake with a start, your body coated with a sheen of sweat, Strangled sobs choke your throat as the image of a broken and bloodied Alistar fills your mind.

"Love, what's wrong?" A familiar voice asks.

In that hallway of moments when dreams fade and reality returns, you look around.

This isn't the roof of Fort Drakon. It's a bedroom in Redcliffe Castle.
Instead of lying on hard stone, you're in a soft bed.
And he's there.  Beside you.
Alive.

He manages a sleepy smile. "Bad dreams again?"

Ever see your warden and Alistair and think they suspect they've had this argument before in some sort of fictional content at your hands?

What lip colour is on your PC, Jess? I always mean to ask you but never managed to until now. It's always shiny looking and very nice.

It's Dracomies, so it's really a skin texture, it's the dracoglossyred. Then I use lip makeup color br3, and play with the blend all override slider to reduce the shine to a more moist look than omg shiny.
