What did you change to have that happen?  You could try running the DA CharGenMorphCompiler

well other than downloading dragonage redesign nothing. I followed the instructions on dragonage redesign and someone told me that the draconics was like installing it twice. So i opened up aethstetics and recommended files as well >.>

Did you install Tmp's Tucked Hair?  If not, you need it; if so, you probably need to run the Compiler linked in above post.

When I downloaded it, it came with the daggers and 2H.  Alistair is using.  I can't get into my game now so I can't show you a screenshot of how great it looks.  

Anyway, they are part of the set when I grabbed it last night before I had to pack up my computer.

Those basics that Jadiefever posted look pretty good.  I'm bookmarking them for myself.  Here's a video that helped me figure out how to make a face in the toolset and get it into the game.

Quick question, pardon if it seems annoying or off-topic coming from a lurker, but I cannot decide between an elven and human mage for my canon Alistair's mistress ending.

Which would you prefer? How different is the game as an elven mage? Are there any Alistair mod issues as an elf?

@Inclemency: apparently you have to install Leli because they changed something so I installed her and now she has hair and of course they redid all my characters ,bleh. Atleast Ali is still his same handsome self and they lessened Morri's makeup.



@Tuppence: I might do that after I finish up my mage.

Human mages get a lot more respect than elves, and elven mages really get popped upon because they combine the two things the majority of Thedas hates: elves and mages.

It depends on if you want to play a character who could have married him if she'd put herself forward at Landsmeet, or one who had no other options. Apart from that, I don't know about the elven mage. What kind of mod issues do you mean? I haven't heard of anything specific to elves.

There's Alistair romance mods that will deal with height differences for elf and dwarf females.  I highly recommend tmp's, cmessaz's and DahliaLynn's.

But as far as rp goes, it's really a matter of player preference.  Also ... the Theirin men seem to have a weakness for elf women.

You know how the various NPCs have less than stellar attitudes towards elves? That gets directed your elven PC even more so.

I think when it comes to the mages, the human or elf aspect doesn't count as much. I've done the mistress ending with both, and there was no real difference in the end as the mistress. As for game play, elvish mage = most persecuted combo ever. Yes, there are additional 'hey you there elf' comments, but it's not a drastic gameplay difference.

Many thanks for your opinions, but this really odd thing bugs me as well, but is probably for another topic: whether or not I could miss out on mage dialogue because I am an elf, or vice-versa. But never mind that, guess I will find out somehow someday.

I suppose I will just have to go "Who Would Alistair Do" when choosing. x_x
Darn, there is also the Amell reference in DA2. But it is probably minor, so not worth it.

EDIT: The sad, but soothing tone of the camp music really adds to the insanity of Alistair-acrobatics on that video. Goodness me.

Whoops! I missed the 'mage' part of the initial question.... Yeah, other than some racial prejudice, they're pretty much in the same boat.
