Yeah, I saw that. Witcher 2 is coming out for the PS3, though. But I may rent Witcher for the PC to see how my PC handles it.

Hehe, it's not very flattering, but not completely awful.

I think I picked Bhelen last time primarily because (1) he said the first thing he'd do once he was king would be send troops with me to the surface; and (2) his first "task" involved going to Aeducan Thaig, which I was going to do anyway so, two birds. See, that's probably my favorite non-origin part of the entire game. Especially as a dwarf. And a noble.

It wasn't the politicking that bothered me, it was how it was handled and the initial quests. It just lacked... subtlety. You saw some subtlety in the DNO and some in the Landsmeet, but with the King of Orzammar thing, no subtlety. Could just be me though.

It's a fun game.

Nothing profound but the world is done well enough and the locations are interesting.

My friend who got me into DAO has tried talking me into the Witcher, but it doesn't really hold much interest for me.

For one the main character is set with no customization available and two, no Alistair.

Ok so I'm using dragon age redesigned . Ali looks great as always . Morri ....they gave her heavy eye makeup and changed her look to I "think" her animated face or whatever it's called. They made Howe look like a decent man. I don't like some of the face smoothings they have added.

I think I'd like to see Howe look decent. I mean, he's already voiced by Tim Curry. The Couslands didn't strike me as stupid people. There had to have been some reason they trusted this man and when he looks AND sounds like a villain I just can't figure out why.

Yeah I wasn't going to get sucked in either, but what can I say, Geralt is nice to look at.    I'm reading the first novel as well and love all the dark folklore type stuff.  I studied German and Russian literature and have always liked folk tales.  The game starts out kind of slow and I can't say I love the combat but I'm muddling along.

Sorry Alistair.    If only we got an Alistair DLC.

Now if those BioWare devs were half as sick and twisted as they wanted us to believe, there should have been an Easter Egg that would have had Howe in that getup when you find him in the Arl of Denerim's dungeon.

Actually, I found Aimo's Dragon Age fan art thread earlier this evening and have been catching up on the 24 pages posted so far. I am absolutely in love with her artwork. She puts such emotion into her drawings and comics. Her take on Alistair makes me wish that she had a hand in the creation of the game.
