Yeah, he's already starting to give my Mage "the eye" and those dialogue options are starting to crop up. . .even though Zevran and Leliana are also in "please trigger my romance" mode. . .

I have one surefire solution to get Alistair to back off, though, but I won't get to employ it til Landsmeet.

I really love that weapon set.  They look especially good in close ups because they are engraved with writing that shows up well and looks really cool.


Re: Alistair's romance triggers ... Yeah, he does have a lot of them, but at least you have the option to ignore them.  The Leliana bug gets really annoying for characters who don't want to romance her, and it seems like there's no way to avoid them besides just not talking to her.

- Alistair:  It's not fair to string her along.  You'd better break up with her. (Paraphrased because I've gotten in the habit of not talking to Leli when romancing Alistair, so it's been awhile since I've heard this.   )

sad breakup with Leli.  

Then next conversation...

- Leliana:  You and Alistair?  How could you!

I get this almost every game, lol. When I first started playing I didn't know it was a bug and it really annoyed me that there was no option to tell Alistair that I did NOT have a relationship with Leliana...but apparently I did.

well depends they could be the users of the NB mod then it's just them throwing themselves at him

Yeah, Leliana's a sneaky one.  On my first playthrough I was only trying to be nice to her in our conversations and little did I know some of those responses I've selected were actually romance triggers.  What's sad was I ended up getting her status to interested before Alistair's due to my zero experience w/ RPG's at that time (yes, DA:O is my first.)

I know how you feel giggles. I mean I really like Alistair but I also really like Loghain so yeah. I've had some playthroughs where Ali ends up marrying Anora, runs off to get drunk. Never gotten him executed though.
To be fair, Loghain is a fascinating character.

Anyway, someone post an Ali pic for me for my OT as I'm at work atm.

I don't think the cameo makes it seem like he forgives the Warden. He's pretty formal with anyone he's not married to or, I think, is his mistress which can be chalked up to propriety in front of his troops when you're acting as Arl/Arlessa of the Keep that was just attacked.

I'm not sure you meant it that way but He's not formal with a mistress either. He greets her as "love" and treats her the same as his wife.  I love that.

I meant that since I would never do the mistress ending I do not have firsthand experience with how Alistair treats her but I had heard that he was not formal with her either.

Alistair rescues you? When does this happen? If anything, you're in a position to decide  his fate.

I do have ZDF, but it's a pretty old version of it.  I better update it.  I think I'll probably do a Leli romance when cmessaz's mod is finished.

I don't think anyone can accuse me of hating Alistair, but I think Loghain is fascinating.  I can't say I like him, but I think his story is very interesting and I've spared him twice to see what happens, and I (the player, not the characters) think it was worth it.  Some of his dialog is very moving.  My DE who romanced Zev spared him and had him do the US.  And my HNM who married Anora spared him and let him live. But having now seen those two endings, I don't feel any need to spare him again.  Too hard to resist our ex-templar.

I'm talking about how the scenario seems. It's like the fairy tales you read about when your a little girl. Handsome Prince rescues damsel blah blah . Not that he actually rescues you but it's how his character is potrayed

If a Cousland, he can be seen as making your life easier after the tragedy (granted, him crying about Duncan with almost no concern for you can be irritating). And at the end, when he doesn't let you die and he sacrifices his life. Also at fort drakon?

It can be rped as them mutually rescuing each other.
