Well the argument now is between two girls. And I know one of them would be pissed if I questioned her feminity (I am joking, you know I love you!)

I think there are only 2 Alistair guy fans. Grumpy, who left, and Mage. Unless they are the same?

I don't think Grumpy and Mage are the same, their writing styles were different enough. Unless they're exceptionally clever.

And fans have a fan...that's kind of amusing. Either way, you do add some interesting perspectives to the conversations.

I usually add lots of off topicness, generally talk about myself (hey just like now!) and have others talk about me (just like now...scary huh), and that somehow always ends up directing the discussion into not so innocent grounds (...too much to hope for now right?...sigh worth a shot).

By the way, I understand why you'd do the duel yourself for the gameplay mechanics of not wanting to control a warrior if you hate it. Well, not understand, because I LOVE playing a warrior, but I get it conceptually.

Annnnd because I don't ONLY play HNF. I play mages, I play Dalish, I play Dwarves, that may not want silly man to insta-gank Loghain and declare himself king. sad fact is, they way the game is set up, if Alistair duels Loghain, it's insta-death and insta king.

I'm actually planning a playthrough just so I can see that. It makes me crazy that they don't have a hardened and unhardened version of the conversation after the execution. It would have been nice if there was a way to circumvent it entirely, so that Alistair could show the same verve when you play a Cousland, but I suppose it would be difficult to do and still achieve their gameplay goals with that conversation.

Hmm... Now that's got me thinking. I wonder if there are enough suitable lines to make a hardened version of that where Alistair isn't suddenly waffling about it in an inconsistant way. It doesn't fix the illogic of the whole scenario, but.... I wonder if I could do that.....

So, finishing off the game on my CEF Bree, and Riordan just bit the dust.  Bree walks through the gates and...


Now, the wtf thing in this pic is not that I have 7 blight wolves, but that I have 7 blight wolves and no rangers!

Edit:  Also, Alistair appears to be the only one concerned about this.
