Am I the only one disturbed at the fact the rats are twice the size of the cats in the Denerim Alienage? They look like they could take a chunk out of someone.

Since those rats are dinner, them being large is good.

My Warden would be showing just as much fear as the rest of the group, but apparently the Joining Chalice was spiked.

I noticed on this last playthrough that Alistair says the battle is tomorrow, yet it seemed to happen the same night as our arrival, tour of the Wilds, and Joining. Busy day!

Well, unless the PC slept for a really long time after the ritual, in which case those bastards certainly could have tucked her into a bedroll somewhere!

Instead of, you know...

I've heard that before as well.  I assume it's very early morning.  Perhaps the joining happened verylate or the darkspawn moved earlier than expected?

I've wondered about that, too.  The PC really had a busy day..arrived at Ostagar, met Alistair, took a sidetrip into the Wilds, met Morrigan and Flemeth, did the Joining, meeting with the King, then the Battle, which was supposed to be the next day.

I always wondered why they did the joining on a stone floor.  The reactions, good or bad, all had them dropping to the floor and I wonder how many ended up with cracked skulls.  You'd think one of the wardens would stand behind the one going through the joining to maybe catch them on the way down.

Learning to fight with a concussion is the first test a Grey Warden must past after the Joining.  ;)  Good thing Ser Jory didn't learn that there was yet another test.

For RP purposes, I'm gonna go with Alistair making sure that doesn't happen for the recruits, instead of just standing off to the side making funny faces.

Oh hey, my player profile finally updated the rest of the way. It's still lying about stuff though. On the last character, Loghain was apparently defeated in single combat, undertook the Joining,THEN filled the Landsmeet with troops - causing fighting to break out - and finally had another duel to settle things. Oh, and Alistair patiently waited through all of that before he left.

Yeah, that happens a lot with that mage.  I have my mages wear armor so they're not quite as squishy but I didn't have any boots to give this redshirt.

Hi Briiel! I'm glad you figured out how to get that line to trigger. Too bad he doesn't smile when he says that line... the pic I snapped during that line looked like he had a tooth ache:

@Tigress: he also looks like hes smirking !!

I had to do it twice because the first time I got negative feed back. Which for future reference is the line about him whining.

Agreeing with Ali gets the positive points.

Sorry, that's what I told you to do last night because I suck at reading dialogue in the toolset. Image IPB

Telling Alistair that he's whining rarely gets good results.  :P

I know, I always go for that line but I had to go and look it up because I couldn't remember either. I did like that the toolset notes said it was flirty...I knew he was flirting!

The pretty dress line made me fall in love with him... Really, I'm a sucker for a guy with a self-deprecating sense of humour and that line and the way SV delivers it did it for me...

Coolness!  I always take it as him flirting, too... it's one of the things that makes my DE begin to notice him as more than just an odd human.  So, it's nice to know that's what the devs had intended.

He doesn't even have that line for a male Warden.
