Compared to city elves? Absolutely. They have weapons to defend themselves, and if it comes to it the ability to leave.

She might not like the Idea of going off to war - great, but don't attack me over it. Its just another instance of them being unreasonable. And again, the blight is a threat to everyone.tool_bot wrote...

All of the Dalish hunters are dying in the infirmary, of course she knows the curse is killing them. If the PC hadn't come along, Cammen would be all they had to defend them. Plus , the darkspwan destoy the enitre land, it becomes completely inhabiable - they don't just single out the human huts.
You really don't understand why she wouldn't want to help or think your Warden was all that great?

It's not the ability to leave, it's being forced to leave if they don't want extreme violence to break out. They don't choose to be nomadic, they're forced to because of humans who cannot even stand them being in a forest near them. The Dalish have become so guarded and distrustful as a result of years of having to live a lifestyle like this, which stems from the persecution, murder and enslavement of their people. It's not that they're noble archers who prefer to live in nomadic clans and commune with nature, they HAVE to. As a result of all the sh!t they've been through is that they're so standoffish and rude when an outsider comes in, not that they just feel like doing so for no reason. That's why they have weapons. That's why they have to leave (and their weapons give them the means to do so without being slaughtered).

Ah, yes thx, I remember her faintly now. I believe I talked her down with my CE but since it has been ages ago that I have played the game through with a non-Dalish, I didn't remember her at first.tool_bot wrote...

She's a hunter who will attack you after you've resolved nature of the Beast and are travelling through the Brecilian forest. You can talk her down easily enough. I think you have to be a non Dalish for her to show up because I never saw in my first runthrough (with a Dalish Warden)

Who have no other option, unless they're prepared to abandon their culture and faith, and spit in contempt upon their parents and grandparents.

That's the thing though. She's not being unreasonable. She has no reason to trust you or feel she needs to defend human lands. And she isn't attacking you over going to war. The Dalish don't mind fighting to protect each other or themselves. She's attacking you because you've dragged her off to fight on Ferelden soil for human soldiers instead of for her clan.

What I don't like about the Dalish view of city elves is that they seem to blame the humans for the things that they personally have to do to avoid the humans going after them and yet they blame the city elves for the things THEY do to avoid human retributoin. It's all well and good for them to say that they shouldn't let the humans control them but the Dalish DO let their actions be influenced by humans (why does the Mahariel clan move on in the DE origin? Humans are annoyed that they are there and they want to avoid an attack). Whenever city elves do try to stand up for themselves like the Dalish claim they should, it ends very, very badly. Adaia was murdered for something we're not told much about but had something to do with her being too defiant and Soris thrown in a dungeon and forgotten about while the CE is probably killed if not the Warden for rescuing several women from being raped and (for some) killed. I hate that the Dalish can't respect that and act like the city elves brought it upon themselves.
