Yeah me too.  I'm almost done with The Witcher, and then I'll be disappearing into Fallout New Vegas for a while... I hope.  Man I really hope that game doesn't suck, I've got my expectations too high for it.

Just found out that they 'streamlined' interactions with companions with a kind of dialogue wheel in this Fallout, because "conversation was slow" *facepalm* They say there's still "rich dialogu", though. We'll see. I did nee actaul NPC conversation though, and the PC isn't voiced, so it's somekind of hybrid. We'll see.

How/where do you get the letter?  I'd heard they added that but I never got one from my last playthrough although Alistair was still my LI.

There is no letter from Alistair. She was making reference to the fact that if Alistair isn't King there's zero Alistair in Awakening.

I think that's part of why I only played Awakening twice, no Ali-love. Well, besides the bugs and the total lack of effort put into making interesting side quests. Of course I was amused that my warden's best friend in Awakening was the son of the man who murdered her parents.



I think it would've been easier to play Awakening with no Ali cameo at all. Instead of a crappy 2-3 minute cutscene.

The Alistair cameo bothers me because I always play Awakening with Orlesian Wardens so Anora isn't recognized as Queen (due to the lack of import), even if she is in all my games...

Ouch. Why not import one of your wardens though?

Edit: It was funny when I was playing my new CE earlier. Alistair would look at her, then he'd look away when she looked him, she turned away and he looked at her again.

I'm actually disappointed with the Anders dialogues. My Warden being a mage, she already knows how things are in the Circle, yet Anders keeps telling her like she wasn't raised there. And no option to say "eh, yeah Anders...I know."

And as Zjarcal said, there is no letter from Alistair. Only Zevran and Leliana. For some ****** reason they thought that everyone were going to make Alistair King I guess -.-

I don't like to play Awakening with my Origin Wardens. The way I RP them, none of them would accept the role of Warden Commander because they just want to move on with their lives (i.e., they're too busy having fun with Leliana...).

There's also the gameplay factor. With an imported character Awakening is WAY too easy. With an Orlesian there's at least some challenge to be found.

I added Random Age and am currently playing on Nightmare with RA set at '3'.  It's been an exciting game so far (understatement).  I, too, have played many many many times, but I keep coming up with fun things to do in it so keep on.  Last game my goal was for Morrigan to reach 100,000 in Friendly Fire damage.  Unfortunately she didn't reach that goal, but 70,000+ wasn't too shabby! lol

I've got to say though, I had gotten to the point of being able to finish the game in three days, then turn around and start again.  That has changed as it takes more like two weeks to finish one up now.

Random Age adds a whole new dimesnion to the game!!!   It took me three days just escape from the Couslands when Howe's men took over. 


I plan to continue to play until I get every single achievement which I figure will be finished with by the time Dragon Age 2 comes out.

Hm, good point. And this way you don't have people fawning over you for being the Hero of Ferelden (that was one of the more annoying things with my imported character).
