I've played Brand through four times and Lucilla Amell at least three. It's like watching a (30 hour) movie I love over and over again! Only with subtle changes of costume.

I have one PC per origin (including one for elf mage and one for human mage) although if I want to play a male of that origin it's another PC. I just can't adequately RP, say, two HNFs given how invested I am in making all of my characters their own person. So basically...whenever I play through with the same origin/gender.

Kara's got two full playthroughs and a third just starting up on my PC.  She's the only one with multiple playthroughs though, and that's largely because she was my first.  The poor thing accidentally romanced Zevran and Leliana along with Alistair and then the game bugged on her "still in love" flag when Alistair broke up with her, forcing them to be just friends.  That's after, of course, I spared Loghain the first time and got the most heart-breaking speech about how he should never have expected to be so happy and take care of yourself and :crying:

I screwed up a lot of things with her so the second playthrough was her canon playthrough.

sorry if I offended you, I just want to make a point of what happened and why and hopefull this thread (on topic by the way) can avoid being locked..  a few people can spoil it for everyone and on topic...

Oh, you didn't offend me in the least.

It's just, from the original thread - the reason it was locked for good was length.  sure, we had some deviations, but we always got back to the topic on our own, hence why the mod didn't fuss too much.

On your thread, my understanding was that it wasn't off-topic, but it ended up only being one part of the larger alistair topic, so the moderator said "we'll go with the more general one."  At least that's what I got from the posts that s/he wrote.

And to get back to the TOPIC: 

I think that Fiona definitely is Alistair's mom.  As far as reaction?  Hmm.  I don't think he'd care so much that it's *her*, but I definitely think he'd be angry that he was lied to for the first 20-something years of his life.

I have yet to do a play through on the PC.. Ariel on xbox 4 times.. only HNF. so adventure time with other origins... even romancing Alistair will be a new adventure for some of my new PC's

He He, me too.  I keep starting new characters, then I get bored in Orzamar, so I'm like, "I'll just start a HNF again".  She always looks the same, same name, same choices.  Then I pass Orzamar with her, and the old character gets left behind.  I finaly got a mage past Orz - she will be my US
I think I'm on my 4th HNF playthrough.

I've played my canon, the  Dalish elf Lenya two times so far. First time was a whole "wheeehee Dalish elves rulez- headless chicken" playthrough without much RP'ing at all (since she was my second char ever) The second one with her was more well....thought out. There I already had somewhat a clear vision of who Lenya is and how she would react in certain situations. This all got refined by my third playthrough, which I play parallel to my fanfiction. (You know checking dialogue, running through scenery for evil plotting ...because I have the best ideas while playing it. ) Which also means she is camping in Orzammar for a few weeks already, and this despite for her hate of so much rock over her head. Poor girl

I completely agree with this theory..and I don't even really hate Eamon for it.  I think the High Cleric had much the same idea, and that's why he was reluctant to allow him to become a Warden.

My femCousland is about 2/3rds through her 2nd run.  She got freckles and nicer hair.

My Dalish ranger/archer got 2 pt's.  She stayed with Alistair and had him marry Anora on the 1st, ditched the hag on the 2nd. That was a good move.

At some point if I continue to not have a life, I'll re-play elf mage Esra.

I am about to start # 4 with my HNF.  I am trying to get all of Alistairs dialog.  Ok I admit it I just want more of the Rose and the akward Alistair!!!!!

till now not one. At some point I lost the connection to my PC's and I stopped playing them... But I intend to give my CEF and my HNF a second run. Somehow I got realy attached to them and I want their stories to end right.

I've diligently read the discussion regarding Fiona being Alistair's mother. Sorry to bring it up again if its all settled and done. But....



In the game universe if Alistair is king and Ferelden finds out his mother is an elf - they'll boot him off the throne won't they? He can't be king if his mother is an elf - at least that's my feeling.



Could this be why DG has never confirmed or denied it? If we knew in game for certain then Alistair wouldn't even be an also ran?



Or am I reading it wrong.



Apologies if this has been asked and answered - I didn't see it directly mentioned in your discussion. But its 7am here and my coffee is only just being poured into a cup.

I don't think they can just kick him off the throne like that but there would be a lot of pressure on him to abdicate and any children he had would likely not be accepted as heirs.

There's nothing that says he can't be king if his mother is an elf. His royal blood comes through his father, so there's nothing preventing him from being king.



However...it's possible the Landsmeet will not accept it and move to remove him from the throne because of that. That would be tricky. They would definitely need an overwhelming majority if they wanted to avoid a fight. I have a hard time seeing them willing to destabilize the country because of that.

At the risk of being run out, I totally agree with Santigress's theory about Eamon. I really go back and forth about him, I'm not sure what to think.
