Guys, your armor REEKED after that trip to find Dace. I'm SORRY, but Filda was nice enough to offer to clean it and I accepted.
Zev: But this dwarf...is he Ogling me?
Kasha: Well, if he's smart he is..
Alistair: Heyyyyyy!
Morrigan: I knew I should have stayed with Arcturus. (pardon my spelling)

I'm a little confused by this, so I translated in my head as 'it's hard', which I can totally accept.tmp7704 wrote...
There's unfortunately no default model with just shirt on -- both the noble and commoner outfits come with extra layer put on top and well, reusing these would make the whole thing pretty redundant. The kid model comes closest to wearing "just a shirt" but even that is covered to a degree.errant_knight wrote...
Hmmm.... If that's the case, perhaps he wouldn't mind making a shirt version for the guys. I'd really find it a lot more useful in gameplay if there was a shirt version.
Don't know if it'll be possible to do a standalone shirt thing -- it'd require doing textures for it very much from scratch, and i don't really have tools/experience to do it on the level regular models are done.
edit: I bet there are clipping issues with shirts, too, huh?

Not saying he doesn't look very nice, but...it's chilly--look, they have a giant fire, and he's always warming his hands, so he's got to be a bit cold.... I mean, brrrr. And that's not even getting into the mosquito issue....Lady Jess wrote...

Sadly no...though I'm not really complaining. I think tmp mentioned that the ladies will get shirts - he's still working on them.

Pish posh who needs useful at camp? I mean in gameplay armor, in camp? PANTS! And no shirt LOOK at that chest, geez woman!

Or has this already been answered in-game and I've foolishly overlooked it?

Has anyone wondered why the Grand Cleric didn't want to let Alistair go? I mean sure, Alistair claims it's probably because they don't want their secrets getting out but I get the feeling there's more to it than that.

I think it's because she wants to hang onto Maric's son, either because that was what she was supposed to do--maybe to keep him out of any possible political machinations, maybe to keep him available in case something happened to Cailan--or because she thought it might be useful to the Chantry to control him.

Bloody good question... I'd go with the last, "gather ye bastards, while ye may..." In my view the Chantry is all about control and trying to get fingers in as many pies of power as possible.

That's my thought too. Not that there aren't good priests, but I think the ones in the higher echelons don't want to give up their power. Though I could see Alistair as king working to try to lessen the power a bit as time goes on, he gave me the impression of really not liking the chantry.

I honestly doubt he would succeed. Not only is the Divine in Orlais, but the Chantry itself is a bloody large cult...ehm...religious establishment. One King would not get far by trying to minimize their power and by the looks of it, as soon as something happens that they don't like (e.g. building a Circle in Orzammar) they consider doing Exalted Marches.
All good points, but obviously it depends on a lot of factors. I wouldn't think Alistair is aiming for total destablishment but a gradual winnowing.... Not sure Fereldans would be up for an Exalted March when they haven't yet recovered from a Blight... And what were the Chantry doing about the Blight... Oh, yeah, pretty much nothing...

One King can change alot ! King Henry the 8th took out catholisim in England . Well not completely out but he lessened there hold on what could be done in England. Course he was a tyrant

Than one of his children, killed more people, and so on and so forth.
While he did remove Catholicism from POWER he did not remove it from the country.

The equivalent would be having the Chantry in Ferelden control their religion and not let the Orlesian chantry have any power. And to have persecutions on both sides that go on for hundreds of years. There's a downside.
Besides, while there are things that Alistair finds distasteful about the Chantry, he's not irreligious, and has great respect for Revered Mothers and other religious people. While he might want to moderate the Chantry's dealings with mages, I don't see him going much further than that, or having any real desire to do so.
