While LadyD was torturing herself writing about executions, I was torturing myself writing about the DR.

Enjoy.  I guess.  :(

A blessing in disguise.

A few of us have written the DR www.fanfiction.net/s/5885435/17/Dark_Ritual this is from Morrie's POV. Later I'll do Alistair's perhaps we should have a compo?

I'm sure it's well written, but as a devoted Morrigan fan, I can't bring myself to read any Ali x Morri FF.  I don't think I can even finish my breakfast muffin now

Your Morri-banner is gone! I'm going to miss her, x2.

Ugly Hawke seems to have taken over everything, I'm afraid...

Only temporarily.  The Qunari " D: " face was my favorite part of the new trailer.

Also, where are all these new bedroom shots coming from?  And more importantly, is there a Morrigan version?

Sometimes it takes ffnet a while to catch up, and I did a couple stealth edits last night which might have interfered.  It should work now, or else I also transcribed to the forum.

Only speaking for myself, I didn't write any of the actual... you know.  Just the conversation with Morrigan and the aftermath for my PC and Alistair.

If that makes a difference.

I still would rather write about... anything else.  Actually no, writing about my elven street child character is harder.

It works now. I've never got this message before and was a little confused.

There is no need to descripe the ritual itself. It's good the way it is :)

Quick Question..
The US on fort drakon, can you knock Alistair out if you are "still in love" or only if "in love"?

Hey, I changed my mind after actually playing them xD I still haven't finished but that's mostly because I've played DAO so much  I've gotten ridiculously bored. Playing as a race I never played before adds a little spice.

*sits in a corner playing with Alistair and ~ugly~ Hawke*

Morrigan has a human male version. I'll get the other races up for her this weekend.

Not sure where to put this, but since I've been thinking about final battle stuff it's relevant to me.

Thank you! I was uncertain and still deciding which ending to play through!

Heys people, I think I just found the next Alistair. Go to the DA2 forums and look at the Garret Hawke Fanclub thread. Its a must read XD.

OMG there IS a fanclub? Basing on the trailer or what? Lol.

I still bear no love for Hawke or DA 2 whatsoever. So Mr. 'I'm so awesome I can beat a single qunari' can rot in the corner for all I care. :bandit:

I'll have to read this later, the comp at work hates ffnet.  Or is this the same one in the forum?  I have read bits of it, I like it.  You have a brisk storytelling style.  I get bogged down in nerdy stuff, it is my bane.  Posted Image

Brave of you to take on a Morri perspec.  I found her dialogue much harder to write than Alistair's.

Not sure what you mean by compo, do you mean a collaboration or compilation??  I would be up for that.

Does anyone else have this, or is my computer just being screwy - I click on the DAO forums, and the only thread visable is DA2. I only make it here because I click on my old posts. The trailer Hawke was cute & stuff, but I'm still very sceptacle about the game & I'm not going to drop my Alistair for this guy (even if Bioware tries to shove it down our throats).

You know main reason I can't stand Hawke as my PC is how Bioware is trying to shove down my throat how fekkin badass he is. And this is not working, really. I found myself eye-rolling at the trailer and asking "Really Bioware? That is your most obvious strategy? How very bland. Try better next time.

It left me all cold in fact.

My works doesn't like FF either....  You are extremely gracious.  I did Morrie for Chapter 17 and found it flowing, as a character I have always hated her (I think she's a bit of a bully), but perhaps it was just the change in perspective.  When I said "compo" I meant a competition (Britishishm, sorry) but a compilation of one same event told by different writers in their different styles from their different character's perspectives sounds a very good/interesting idea.

PS I did read your take and I did like it, especially the aftermath, my Ali's a bit more traumatised than yours...

I know what you mean.  But I'm holding out hope because that's exactly how I felt when I first saw Malcolm in the DA:O trailer.  I almost didn't get it because of that.

Competition??  Yikes!  Posted Image

I like Morrigan as a character a lot.  It's kind of funny that out of all my PCs, Idun has the most antagonistic relationship with her.  But I thought it made for a better story.  I actually wish I had put more Morrigan in it.  And more Zevran.  Ah well.

Not my favorite art style, but still well-made, called One Last Kiss.  This is, naturally, the horriblebad Warden Commander ending.  I think that is even a Mahariel PC.

Malcolm? Who is that? The default Warden?

Somehow this was not so much of a problem to me like Hawke now is. I actually found myself asking who this ugly dude up front is with Morrigan, Leliana and Co and did not care much for it

Well, maybe it's just me and that I have developed an aversion against those overy badass-awesome types you see in every videogame somehow. I found DA:O refreshing in that light, though the Warden can be such all too easily as well... but you have the control over that. Something I feel amiss with Hawke (dunno how to explain it better).

Anyway, for that reason I found myself rolling my eyes at Lightening and co in Final Fantasy 13 over and over again. ( I can't play it more than two hours, really) Where others go in this case screaming: Woooaw that's soooo awesome/badass, I found myself eyerolling at the games company bland try to sway me to such an emotion.

Obvious manipulation is obvious. *insert eye-rolling smilie*

Yes, I agree with this.  Badass is just so lame...  Alistair, now there is a wonderous character, so full of defects and insecurity yet so charming...  This Hawke WTF he is so tough he apparently can call on any skill set, where is the challenge in that?

Yes, Malcolm was that Grey Warden character in the early cinematic trailer for Origins.  I guess it was just me, but he really, really bugged me.  I felt like he was way too macho, and I remember thinking there's no way I'm going to play that game!  Whew!  I'm so glad a friend changed my mind.

And no, that character wasn't quite so "awesome" as Hawke.  The Hawke in the recent trailer looked so super-powered, I wondered if he wasn't the version of the character that is being exaggerated in the tale being told.

Oh well.  I've learned my lesson with Origins.  I'm sure I'll get DA2 and at least try it.  I figure I owe Bioware that much since I got so much more than I had expected from Origins.

Back to the main topic ... Alistair!  I'm having a problem with our ex-templar in this playthrough.  He doesn't like my blood mage at all!  And I can't seem to get him to talk about Goldanna.  I had wanted him hardened and made king.  Does anyone have any idea how much approval I will need with him in order to get his companion quest?  Right now I'm about -10.  :crying:

Toolset doesn't give number values, but it says you need to be "warm".  And of course you have to know about Alistair's royal heritage.
