Actually Marlana never threatened his family, it was clear they didn't have anything to do with Howe's actions. Not to mention it seemed to be lowering herself to his level.

I always preferred "I know your game. No shadows, no lies. Just you and me."

I felt perfectly justified in threatening to kill them to Howe but I'd never go through with it. If he actually cares enough to be worried for his family (which I kind of doubt) then he definitely deserves to die worried.

Alistair thread is pretty slow lately.  I think it's a result of everyone being tired and sleepy after the big wedding.

I didn't really see the point, he didn't strike me as the type who really gave a damn about his family, they were just there to be used. I figured he cared about himself though, so I figured it was a better way to go.

@Tuppence Well, I've been working on this one chapter of my fanfic for almost a week now, I usually get one done every 2 days. I'm almost done with it, I hope.

But yes, I've been doing a lot of squeeing since Thursday, made up for a spectacularly awful week.

I said it once, I'll say it again. Eamon looks sinister for some reason.

I don't think he looks sinister. He looks fatherly. If you consider that sinister in Alistair's case, I guess that he is.

Although I javen't truly delved deeply into the Eamon character, from what I have seen, there can be several reasons for this:

a. because he is?
b. because that is how you imagine him to be?
c. becuse he's staring at Alistair "like that"?
d. because you can't really tell that under all that hair and mouth he's actually smiling :)

Would you think it be more appropriate that I accentuate his gaze to be more close to happiness and excitement?

Edit: to me he looks somewhat fatherly

No I don't think Eamon is sinister at all. Just that he looks like that here (when he is turning his head especially). Maybe because it's blurry and out of focus. And yea I didn't notice the smile lol

That's one of my most favorite shots from the wedding. It's Alistair and he's hot and waiting for his bride...who's looking at Eamon? Image IPB

well I have to update the mod in any case, due to a minor error, so I'll try to make his happiness more apparant. (unless someone objects since I know many have things against him)

Actually, if his happiness was more apparent it would help. I still don't like him, but I wouldn't object to seeing Eamon smiling. :)

Well, I'm sure MageTarot would be really happy if Alistair started sharing Ricky Martin's preferences...

EDIT: I gotta admit, I don't get a sinister vibe from Eamon in that shot. It's more like Addai said, a happy fatherly look.

Of course, Eamon IS sinister... =]

*pops in*

You rang?

Well, let's compare, shall we?

Devastatingly handsome smile?   Alistair: check. Ricky Martin: check.

Tight leather pants and not afraid of wearing them? Alistair: check. (Thanks again, tmp!)  Ricky Martin: check.

Ability to cleave darkspawn in two and still look awesome doing it? Alistair: check. Ricky Martin: ...(insert sounds of screeching tires and car crashes here). Image IPB

In all honesty, the release of DahliaLynn's mod has caused me to take a look at  the Dragon Age that was released and the modded Dragon Age I'm currently playing.  I won't lie - I am a bit jealous that my male nobles won't experience DL's fantastic mod. But looking at the bigger picture, I have to remind myself that what I'm currently experiencing with Alistair romance-wise shouldn't be happening at at all.  If I only played the version that BioWare's released I would have to be content with Zevran, Leilana and Morrigan as my choices. The fact that I am able to romance Alistair comes as the result of a player's desire to make it so and not BioWare's. It was mentioned a while back that there was discussion regarding making Alistair romanceable by both male and female PC's, but for whatever reason that aspect never made it into the final game.

Anyway, I've come to appreciate what I can do with my characters in my current version of DA, rather than be sad about what I cannot do.

...but Ricky Martin as Alistair? Ummm...

No.

If a live-action DA movie was ever made, getting the right actor to play Alistair to me would be on the same level of scrutiny that occurred back in the late 1930's over who would be cast to play Scarlett O'Hara in "Gone With The Wind."  To show how serious it was, there was serious talk about both fans of the book and of leading man Clark Gable (who was cast as Rhett Butler) boycotting the film if the actress who was chosen didn't live up to their expectations. Would it happen today? I'm not sure, but if the wrong actor was cast this thread would definitely be the first place to state it. Image IPB

Claudia Black would have to play Morrigan.

And forget finding an actor for Alistair, that's the least of their worries..warden gender wuld be the first hurdle, I think. although us girls would probably loose that battle.

Yeah, you know we would, it would be 'guy' Warden all the way.

I suspect it would be a HN Warden and whether it would be a guy or a girl depends on whether they think they can milk the Alistair romance or the Morrigan romance more. Morrigan would probably win because she leaves and also because Leliana can be thrown in there an an obstacle to Morrigan and the Warden's love more so than Zevran's 'Go with Alistair' approach. Plus Zevran has more of a hatedom than Leliana.

Which is really, really sad btw. Zevran is such a great character. Period.
