All that I've ever needed so far is a variety of saves :)

Yes, a variety of saves at key places in the game is really helpful.  I don't have the drive space on my windows partition to hold on to a lot of saves.

Right now my Bioware folder is up to 20GB counting savefiles and screenshots...

I made the mistake of setting up the Windows partition on my Mac with only 50g.  I keep thinking I should reformat and make a bigger partition.  But I'm lazy.  =]

Omg, my two character folders on this drive are 7.77 and 8.96 GB respectively. My whole bioware folder is 17.2 GB; but my screenshots are separate (76 folders now) and are 54 GB on my D drive, and 186.1 GB on my C drive. I haven't fired up E drive but there are characters and screenshots on it, too.
Ouch! lol.

What mods are you talking about? For cmessaz?

tuppence95 wrote...

cmessaz is actually working on several different mods right now. dahlia will probably take a break before she starts in on the next Alistair epilogue mod. Those are the two that I'm working with. Not sure what else is going on out there.

Yes, for both actually...The...uh..Cullen mod...got my attention.Image IPB

I'm actually pretty good for disk space.  1TB and another TB w/ my external HD (which are actually reserved for photos.)

And here I thought my 20GB was too much.

I take tons of screens, it's like my photography, 1000 shots, of those you get a handful of good ones.

Alistair wearing the Commander armour set.  I had never found every piece in the game.

I hear you on that. My screenshots folder right now has 6947 screenies and only about 1/4 are decent ones.

Since I play on the PS3, my "screenshots" are me taking a picture of my TV screen with my camera phone and then using said phone to email the pic to myself, which I then open and save on my computer. So naturally, this is something I only do when I really want to. Also, it makes good in-game shots difficult, especially when your characters won't stop fidgeting.

Reposting a favourite shot...need to tinker with it a bit to hopefully get some details in, it's rather weird.

I had that very same bug today, in the forest after fighting with Swiftrunner and getting b*tch slapped by Whitherfang.  And yes, I thought of you!

Lol, that happened to you, also?  This is the first time I did the area with Random Age running, wonder if it happens every time?  I still get a laugh out of that screen.

Random, but does anyone know what this mirrored effect is and if it is possible to take it off and make it look normal? (The texture on this helmet is borked apparently, but it makes items with textures over it look like a glittery unusable mess)

(probably should post it elsewhere but i'm ~intimidated~ by the toolset forums)

Can someone with the toolset help me out with a dialog piece?

I need the conversation with Alistair regarding Arl Eamon raising him (the one you can access in camp vs the speech outside Redcliff). There is a convo option you have for asking Alistair who his father is and his answer is something like, "It doesn't matter, he died before I was born", or at least I think he said something like that.

Can someone confirm whether or not that's really said, or was I just hearing something that wasn't there?

Yes, there is definitely a line like that. I happen to be in the toolset, let me look it up.

Thanks, Yankee! I'd never done that convo question before and it just blew me away when I heard it because if that line is in there, then either he's not Fiona's son, or he's been lied to about his age since Maric was alive after Fiona gave birth, making Alistair older than he thinks (since he thinks he was born the year Maric died).

In camp it's something like He knows who he was told was his father... ....but it doesn't matter. In Redcliffe I think you get the he died before I was born.

In camp when he tells you about being raised by Eamon, before going to redcliffe, you can ask him "He wasn't your father? So you know who is?" and he says "I know who I was told was my father. He died even before my mother did, anyhow. It isn't important."

Alistair was lying to you so you wouldn't makes guesses about who his father was - he knows Maric was alive after he was born.  In one of his banters with Wynne he mentions that Maric and Cailan came to visit Arl Eamon once, which is the only time he ever spoke to his brother.  That's the "Ooo, swords" conversation.

I'm glad I didn't have that particular conversation with him on Marlana. He'd have a hell of a time trying to regain her trust.
