I'm sure DA2 will be a good game but things like this aren't exactly helpful for me to develop sum love for the so called sequel. Quite the opposite, really >.< Okay that I still hate the main protagonist of it is another factor to count in

Yep, this exactly. Origins had a "to be continued" vibe in the epilogue cards and I think people agonized over the dark ritual, worrying about the consequences of their decisions when it turns out that it means jack in the long run.

Hi all, just a note to say that Idun's story is finished with the last installment up tonight, called The Coming Storm.

I have to give you guys credit or blame for getting me into DA fanfiction at all.  So thanks.  I guess.    Seriously, it was a lot of fun, but man... exhausting.

Edit:  And that is a hot shirtless Alistair!  I have yet to see Regulator Alistair, though.  *sadeyes*

I think it's well known that I don't get the hype around that guy. Also I keep my Nutella for Alistair. As said before, Hawke can rot in the corner for all I care

Yeah it became quite silent in here. I blame the banhammer. The old thread was much more fun Also it seems that some of us have been wandering off to a hyped nutella guy. Bleh.

Loved your stories, btw Addai. A great tale in a whole. Congratz for finishing it now, mine will still last for ....umm a year? Dunno but a loong time surely. I'm still at the first treaty

Agreed, I think some have moved on to other places/ games/ interests as well.  As for what's-his-name, if people like him they like him, more power to 'em.  I'm still waiting to be enthused by DA2.  Hasn't happened yet.  I am quite excited about Fallout New Vegas, though.

Glad you liked them!  It was never my intention to write everything in detail, just hit some of the gaps between game events and the highlights where I thought a Dalish mage had a unique view.  I'm pretty satisfied.  Who knows, maybe I will come back and write a post-Blight one-shot about Idun and Alistair eventually.  Right now I'm taking a break from DA fanfiction.  I also owe LadyD a story.

Lol, yes, clearly I am an idiot who likes gross guys or something. Whatever. I can love DA:O and Alistair while still being interested in DA2 and that guy/girl who you all want dead for whatever reason. This is kind of why I don't come here so ofter anymore. *sticks to twitter and other things*

Well, Hawke is a PC, not an NPC, so are the really comparable? Hawke is who you make him, in looks and behavior, and we know nothing about the NPCs that would be equivalent to Alistair. I don't find Bioware's version of Hawke attractive at all, but if I play, mine could look different. Still, I can't see being a 'fan' of my own character....

I'm planning on enjoying both.  I already know how much I enjoy Alistair, and I can play Origins whenever I want.  There's nothing that says I have to stop.  I'll definitely give DA2 a chance.  And it's likely that I won't even be seeing much of the nutella-covered Hawke, since I mostly play females.

I've got a friend who was so angry about Alistair not making more than a cameo appearance at best in Awakening that now she refuses to play any Bioware games.  Yes, I thought Awakening was a big disappointment in many ways, but she's missed out on a couple very good characters, and now she doesn't even have Alistair anymore.  

Me?  I'm keeping Alistair and looking forward to checking out new characters.

I don't see any reason to be upset about differing attitudes to DA2 one way or another. *shrug*  DAO is what it is and even though seeing continuity get murfed in the the franchise does take the shine off a bit, Alistair is shiny enough.

@ Lanfaer01: What is that armour he's wearing, I've never seen it before, looks like it would be a good companion match for my PC-wearing-Underworld-armour.

Lol, and no, Dalish origin wouldn't be a good one for siding with werewolves! Now I just have to get the uncooperative Leliana to actually want the nug. Everyone has been uncooperative in my present game!

Has anyone tried this?  It's a dark ritual scene between Alistair & Morrigan based on Aimo's comic scene.  Looks interesting.
