I have played none the last past days, since I wait on my PC ultimate edition and then ordering the new system in following to that. So I restrain my play time to keep it somewhat fresh, heh. I rather write on my FF atm, which is work enough (chapter 32 of 90 finished by now)

<--- And Lenya is back as my profile pic. Lol I missed my little Dalish cookie just too much. <3

I haven't played, or been here for a while either. I've been trying to find a school. Harder than I thought but I know what I want. I want distance learning (with our constant moving a physical school is out til he retires, at which point I'll be like...50) , Grahic design, either just an Undergrad certificate, or a degree, either works. But, so far no luck. One of the colleges back home has it as an undergrad certificate, but no financial aid available for non degree students, and I don't see any degree courses I want.  I thought I found a great idea, but that was 46k tuition for a 2 year associates, and ALOT of complaints about screwups in their billing/financial aid department. So Ugh. No Alistair for me >.<

I think you weren't the only one who missed your Dalish cookie. Just don't say 'cookie' too loud. We all know how Sten gets...

I'm preordering DA2 this Friday - heading to GameStop to take advantage of BioWare's free upgrade offer to the Signature Series version.

I've been debating about replaying Arturo from scratch. Played a 2nd rogue and realized there was a whole bunch of stuff I didn't do with Art the first time around, the most important was allowing Alistair to initiate the romance. It's gonna be tough but this time Art will be playing hard to get:

"In your tent? Are you sure?"

"Alistair, this is all so sudden..."

(yeah, right - I'd be saying this while thinking to myself "drop those leather pants now, Templar - I cannot wait until darkfall". ) Image IPB

I totally missed the part about inviting Alistair to your tent before he asks on my first playthrough. So on my second or third I did the invitation and while I liked the hands comment, it felt cheap compared to him asking. So I went back to a previous save and kept going until he asked.

Yeah, I know, it's just a game.

Mornin' y'all! Re: the weird rubber banding... I haven't had that happen in DA, but in the past, with an older Video Card, that was quite a frequent glitch in several games I played. Anywho, I'm guessing that would be the same trouble you're seeing here. Older cards can lose the object properties, causing their textures to no longer conform to the expected/defined points on the "grid", resulting in some truly horrific morphs.

It's not my video card. Since I was able to set him back to the human state through the console, I tried turning his appearance to "succubus" (desire demon) and it happened again. You can see that the jumble has the sleeves and is purple like desire demons xD So at some point Alistair tried to turn into a desire demon but it didn't quite work. I don't know why, since he was wearing vanilla medium armor that I bought at Ostagar, but there you have it.

Aww thanks. Heh, yeah but she is an odd cookie at times and I say that in the most affectionate way. She can be sweet and then crunching in the next (no matter what...feelings, darkspawns, annoying shems) Well for the sweet part...just ask Alistair he like to nibble on her after all... :innocent:.

An argue with Sten and Lenya would be a funny thing to witness. No one of them would speak a word, they would simply glare at each other for hours to settle this.

And Lenya would win. Lol.

Aww, I still contemplate whether to pre-order DA2 or not. Then there is the system question too, of course. Do I game it first on the XBox or do I risk it to order it directly for PC...not knowing if my new system can handle it. Hmm...

Taking things slow is much more interesting. As for Lenya she won't swoop his pants until reaching Denerim (which is after four treaties minus the Urn of Andraste) Makes things all the sweeter, imo. And before that it doesn't make sense, because there are too many things in the way for a relationship. (Yeah I have a thing for complicated relationships, which is why Mahariel/Alistair is my OTP)

@Jess: That sounds....complicated. Hope you suceed soon *hugs* <3

Marlana couldn't say no to how he asked. She'd already lost enough people, if she lost him while he thought she wasn't interested would've been too much for her.

Heh, fully understandable. And granted, I see Lenya's story more through FF eyes than through the actual game anymore, because of the limits it gives me there. Yet it is not the case she had waited so long to jump into his pants or had denied him THAT when he asked, no that was the next logical step then.

But she had denied a relationship for so long. With good reasons, because complicated character is complicated and she needed a lot of things sorted out before she could give in to a HUMAN. Trust isn't something that grows overnight and she as a distrusting Dalish needed especially much of that to allow the relationship grow to friendship and then...even more... (Which is why I will write about steamy bits in chapter 70 or so xD)

However, where are all the others today?

Oh, of course it's different for Lenya and Marlana. And I do look at from my FF view as well, but there's totally different experiences between the two. :)

Mine is human so there wasn't the whole race issue and the initial meeting with Alistair cheered her up in a way she didn't expect.

Though admittedly she did consider drowning him and Morrigan in the Korcari Wilds. ;)

Not sure where everyone else is. I know some folks who are in cme's group with me are testing stuff. I'm working my way to doing more testing while working on my FF.

Heh, yeah different of course. Lenya's first words ever said to him were : Are you an idiot? xD

And working so long on my FF I can't do anything other than just think in FF terms when it comes to her. Well *shrug* it's fun either way. I think I should write on my FF as well now, I have been lazy the past days. Good thing is I can update soon, beta is sending me the revised today, yay. *hugs her* It's just odd to publish that because I'm way past that chapter in my writings. (chapter 26 is going online soon, and I'm at chapter 33 atm, lol)

Ahh...well.

I almost did that with my CE, I think I went for one of the other options.

Marlana decided to joke along with him, because she was done with crying and wanted to distract herself. Besides, she thought he was cute in a goofy sort of way.

I'll be posting a fashion show today, I think. Grabbed a bunch of [maybe] unusual stuff.

Edit: Omg, some of this stuff is just so....wrong!

Heh, It's rather from my FF, as can be seen here:

[...]
Alistair staggered, felt the heat rising to his cheeks and tried to find some words, but his head was suddenly empty. He saw how she narrowed her eyes - green, glistering eyes, he noticed - but didn't say anything, which left him only longer in such misery.

"I-I..." he tried to begin, but she interrupted him.

"Are you an idiot?"

Alistair gave in to the urge to blink, as her first ever spoken words to him sank in. It sounded more like a conclusion than a question. Great. "W-what?" he managed to bring out.

She let a sound out what resembled an agitated sigh. "You are that shem named Alistair, right? I was told to meet you. Unfortunately, it seems."

In the game however she had called him a strange human, which is not much better

"Sigh" When I just begin to form a good opinion about the girl population here in general, it all must come crashing down.

Yes, I just found out about what happened with in the NSFW thread, after it was deleted. I won't bother explaining myself as a judge, as I feel those that had a problem with how I and Knight judged can, bluntly, STFU ( and that's me putting it mildly due to forum rules ).

One exception though, I personally would VERY much like to know how I can be accused of favoritism when the one who won was a person that not only I don't have on friends, but also one I had a flame war with in the past.

Spending almost 10 hours of your time, ( and whether or not you believe, it did took that long to judge and make the thread with the results ) and then finding out you are accused of favoritism just pissed me off. Do people just honestly expect to just enter a competition and win because they feel their character is better then others?

Our decisions in the contest are not universal truths, just what me and Knight felt about each individual contestant, just to make that thing perfectly clear. Our comments were meant for fun, and it is what kept us going for the six hours that we spent judging.

Still buried in school stuff...think I'm figuring this stuff out but forgot about being accepted so it'll be..

1. Apply at Penn State's World Campus on Friday.
2. Stress, worry, panic, and otherwise flail until I hear back...
3 If accepted, dance of joy and fill out FAFSA crap.
4. If denied...give up because no other schools really appeal to me.

How should we categorize the report comment?

"Stolen File"? That would make it seem like you stole the file.

EDIT: Ninja'd. Alright then.

What? If it's about that Cousland competition thing, not all of us are part of it so if you're gonna make a post like this in the general thread at least clarify what it is you are talking about.
