In the Deep Roads again...so fun with Random Age on Nightmare! Caridin's Cross is taking a long time, but it's actually fun. My AW is doing well with a 2H, and horning in on Alistair's kills.

@inclemency: Nice.

I equipped Alistair with Dwyn's sword earlier in my current playthrough which has a "messy kills" attribute, but while his kills were definitely messier I still never achieved the true epic fountains of blood that some of you display on RDT. Actually the most impressive blood explosions I think I've seen in any of my DA:O games --with the possible exception of my first High Dragon kill which was shown at Extreme Close Up and right at neck level-- came courtesy of Gaxkang the Unbound, who I fought at my (and therefore his) highest level in my most recent playthrough and who suddenly seemed to know Walking Bomb, or Virulent Walking Bomb, or some form of blood magic that caused at least 3 of my party to explode simultaneously in showers of gore. I was not amused.

Lol, Walking Bomb is a laugh/scream for gore, Most of the time when killing a mob of monsters, the screen was totally obscured by red. I aimed to have morrigan get 100K of friendly fire damage, but sadly only made it past 70,000, which is still outrageous! I have one of the Deathblows mods that enable some of the gore, since messy kills doesn't really work.

It's a gusher!!

That's Alistair right there, behind the big blob on the right. He never truly liked Flemeth...

I must say Idon't use the Walking Bomb spells too much - your enemies have far too great a tendency to 'walk' towards and explode right next to you -.-

Love the screenshot!

Here's walking bomb in action, with lots of friendly fire damage involved.

All that for 14XP? Wow. . .:o

Yeah, whatever it was that Gaxkang used on my party, it didn't seem to bother him at all, even in the close confines of the Quaint Hovel with at least 3 people exploding right in his face. Also he did it on the bunch of us at once, where I thought that Walking Bomb was a single-target spell. All I know is that there we were, and there, after a large wet bang, we weren't.

Its now called Slinks S3 RAVage since the update yesterday.  Here's a bit of the description:

Random enemies with advanced tactics, more abilities, and better gear are created on the fly, as is new and unusual equipment that encompasses virtually limitless appearance variations and magical properties. 10 all new difficulty levels up the challenge even more.

It's been a blast to have it.   Here is the link: Slink's Slightly Skewed (s3) "RAVAge" 1.1

You can customize it really well, I've just upped the difficulty and this game has been really fun.

Was Thomas Howe in Highever after his dad's takeover?

It's in the 'Castle_Cousland' area mod, yuki. (Great profile pic!)

Edit: I think I misunderstood your question...I don't know if he really was, they put him there in the mod.  I don't remember any mention of Thomas in DA:O after the beginning of the HNO.  Nathanial mentions him, I think, but not where he was when killed.

Hi y'all! I finally got to the wedding, which made me cry, of course. It was, simply beautiful.

Here's some rehashed RDT with Alistair still enjoying the view.

Thanks, I just picked up the DA:O Ultimate Edition for my PC so can play on the computer and hog up the TV with PS3 game. I have been looking at the Armour and Appearance Mods for more creativity.

*waves* at inclemency -- I updated RA since I'm starting a new playthrough today and it's really going well so far. I think he's done a great job of balancing things out a bit more, making it even better than before.

I also finally, after all these months, downloaded the auto-looter for my rush game I just finished and within five minutes I was like... why on earth didn't I get this sooner?

Oh!  You'll be having a blast just playing with the mods!  I bet it will feel like a whole new game!

One of the reasons I love RAVAge is because you have possibility of getting a vast assortment of gear with different stats.  Makes the game much less predictable and looting is always a surprise.  The only thing it doesn't do is provide new skins for the equipment, so you don't get the really beautiful stuff you can find with some of weapon and armor mods out there.

Lol, I had to shut off the drops, I only had 500 gear slots and had it up waaay too high! (I had a ton of mod gear in there, too, which I got rid of, but I still was over 230 items afterward)

@Phedra, congrats, you will have a blast!

Yeah, I have mine set at ItemsPerHolder=1 and DropRate=1 just so I don't get overwhelmed with loot. Even with that, it can take me 30 mins or more to examine all the loot to see if anyone can use it and that's with sticking to the 125 item bag.

I am pleased to see he's lowered the value of the unique stuff... I was gettin' tad tired of ending the game with well over 1k gold. LOL

You find out in the Gnawed Noble from Dragon's Peak guy that Thomas wasn't involved, and I think You find out in Awakening he died in either the war or the blight...can't remember which.

He died in the war, I think that's all we really know for sure.
