Wow, that pre-DR scene is really powerful.  It has some rough spots, but that Morri stuff made me weepy, especially since I just wrote about that.  :crying:  Edit:  I made a video here.

Man, why oh why oh why did they cut this scene out of the original game?  We could have done with one less battle sequence or ten to get something like this.  But thankfully they at least put it in the comic.

I was just about to ask you if you'd made a video yet since I don't have any saves anywhere near Redcliffe castle before the final battle. You're one step ahead of me :P
I agree, I think this ( judging from the comic anyway) is a really important scene and I'm absolutely bewildered as to why of all the things to cut they chose this. I'm sure there's financial or story telling reasons but from an outside point of view it seems like madness I tells ya.

SO unprepared for a ToP haven't played in a while, this may be recycled

I'm sure this will be an unpopular opinion here but...what was with Alistair's completely unprovoked and over-the-top attack on Morrigan? Honestly, 'who needs darkspawn when we have you'? I know they had to make due with Alistair's available dialogue and I'm sure that's his hostile lines but it did not paint him in a good light.

LOL Such a mental conundrum to think of "IRS" as a good thing in this case.

Have you played Dragon Age?  :)  Morrigan and Alistair hate each other.  He's just found out something really terrible and thinks Morrigan is mocking him.  That said, the tone I get from the comic itself is more light-hearted sarcasm.  They obviously had to use recycled Ali-hate lines.

I know they hate each other but they've never been that nasty and it doesn't even use any of Morrigan's hate-lines (that I caught. Some of it was hard to hear). He just walked up to her and basically started ranting about how she was a horrible person...because she was there. Not really a good thing for him to do.

Actually he starts ranting after he thinks Morrigan is making light of the fact that a Grey Warden is going to die, namely him or his lover.

P.S. I take it you wouldn't like my story about the DR, since my PC sticks a dagger to Morrigan's throat.  She rather outpaces Alistair in hostility there.  :)  But part of the drama around the DR is the question of how much you trust Morrigan, and the fact that she makes it hard to trust her.

I also uploaded a video of Rendezvous at the Tavern.  Hopefully it doesn't get pulled for being too risque.

Keep in mind that the modder was using lines from different dialogues in the game. He was trying to use the ones that got closer to what was written in the comic. So in this case, blame the modder for choosing that line.

Also, I believe that line "who needs darkspawn when we have you" is one of his "crisis dialogue" lines (at -100).

His reaction has more to do with being angry at the situation than being angry at Morrigan directly. Sure they don't like each other, but he did just find out something horrible and he can't do anything about it. He can't get angry at Riordan and he can't get angry at the PC, so he lashes out at the closest and easiest target. Given the situation, I thought it was fairly in-character. Not completely true to the comic, but understandable.

And that said, that scene is very well done given what the creator had to work with. I'm impressed.

Totally an awsome DLC.
Seriously though, Bioware overused Demons in DA, few people are ever supposed to have seen one yet you always run across them.

That DR-mod is indeed powerful stuff. I sat here bawling my eyes out after watching it. Thank you for the video, Addai, or else I would have never the chance to see it. *kicks her old computer*

Heh, I didn't notice that.   Maybe she was talking about the ta-ta action.  But there IS a need, dear Alfstanna.

Great scene BTW, really great.

As to the Al and Morrie thing, they are incredibly nasty to each other from the go get, sure, the language they use initially is not so harsh or bitter, but there is harshness and bitterness underlying it from the beginning.  Suddenly being put in an extremely stressful situation (of which Morrie takes full advantage for her own selfish reasons) does not alliviate it.

Resize the pic to 146 by 146, save as png, save over the (char_name)_portrait in the character's folder. If you run windows 7 you must make it read only.

Re the dark ritual thing, I pretty much agree with what everyone else said. Given the task of taking lines already in the game I think the modder has done a good job as far as the dialogue goes. I also don't think it's that unrealistic that having just recieved 'that' news that someone would lash out at another person they don't particularly like anyway, especially if the relationship up to that point had been little but bitter bickering. In my opinion anyway.
