yes, it's a plot device and we all say we would never be that stupid, but there's a reason why someone thought of that plot device in the first place and a reason why the public continues to respond to and support those kinds of stories. Men and women..

Probably because someone figured that people love sex and violence, so let's mix them up. But I don't think people would feel like this when confronted with actual dangerous situations. They might fantasize, but I would raise an eyebrow if they did act on those weird urges, but that's just me.

And I am consoled when the murderer/ monster / whatever happens to find two people doing this and killing them :D like that shoul teach them to be more careful :P

So, I realize this isn't smut, but I'm playing Carys and Alistair has been staring at her.  A lot.  I mean, like everytime I look over, there he is.  See?
Image IPB
And he doesn't even really like her yet!  He's only at +19 and she's not exactly being over-friendly.

But, on the other hand, when I'm not looking, I catch her like this:

I can't decide if she's warming up to him or trying to get the shem to back off.

It is also very scary, and would have me thinking we might not get out alive, it could our own annihilation too and if that could happen I'm going to get as much time with my love as possible just in case.^_^

It might be better to actually focus on getting out alive instead of doing that :D

@ Yuki
Yea I know, I don't mind Isabela's change. I am simply concerned about Morrigan and while I doubt they would compeltely change her, devs have come up and said :"we changed it because we want to" and basically telling us to deal with it. So we'll see I guess.

@ LadyD:  I'd say that's an "Uh. . .really, Alistair? Are they that fascinating? You think maybe you could, I don't know, watch out for Darkspawn or something?" look. . .

There's absolutely nothing inviting about the Deep Roads, especially with all those spiders.  It's more about how massive adrenaline rushes and passion can sometimes get tied together.  And not knowing if I'm going to live through the night might make me want to make the most of it.

*edited to add - I should have said "When I was younger not knowing if I'm going to live through the night might make me want to make the most of it."  These days, I would take one look at the Deep Roads, and say "Hell no!  There's spiders down there.  Someone else do it!" let alone even consider having sex down there ... even with Alistair!

** and edited again ... ugh.  I meant to make this as a new post, but instead I wrote over my old post.

I agree that in an actual situation when I might be killed, I'd probably wait until I was pretty sure I wouldn't be killed before acting on those impulses. But my brain (or my less cerebral bits) might find ways to convince me that I'm "safe" during a calm moment, when I'm really not.

And I am consoled when the murderer/ monster / whatever happens to find two people doing this and killing them :D like that shoul teach them to be more careful :P

I usually cheer because those characters are also often annoying people in their own right.

Yes, I know it looks like I just contradicted my own argument. I'm not saying they should be jumping each other at every second --certainly not when they're out in the open like that. But, you know. . .give them a moment in camp or in some cold corner of a Deep Roads cave amongst the freshly-slaughtered remains of the enemy, and watch what happens. :innocent:

I'm 36, and no the blood and dirt part doesn't sound sexy, but I definitely see the sexiness in the image of Morrigan unfurling her power on a hoard of darkspawn or Alistair plowing through a crowd with his sheild. Image IPB

Certain peoples' battle cries and noises can be kind of, um, distracting at times, as well. . .

yes, but look how LONG and far the deep roads stretch out. Surely we are NOT going to be fighting every single minute. You'd need time to rest, heal, eat, sleep. And in a place like that?  I'd sure Seek comfort and warmth and a feeling of safety, which...you find with that person you love most, add to that the "we could DIE in here" and you make the absolute MOST of those breaks.  I'm not saying we dive behind a rock and have wild monkey sex between stabbings during a two hour mission here. I believe the deep roads portion is days long.

Especially when those moments are a luxury considering you're in enemy territory.  I would take the opportunity to *ahem*...express... my feelings knowing our chance of survival is close to zero and another moment might not happen again.

And I don't know if anyone else noticed but we just hit 600 pages...and on smut day of all days.Image IPB

I really don't see how that's a turn on. I mean, it's digusting, full of spiders and carcasses. And it's a sad place, reminding usof the near annihilation of the Dwarves. What's so inviting aobut that??

That!

It's such a wrong place to get your freak on, that it makes it appealing!

But hey, I am a skank after all... :P

I'd rather stand vigilant and it doesn't seem fair that two people are having fun (somehow), while the other two are watching guard

But to be fair, I am kind of a...what's the word, very adamant (some woudl say obsessed) with being proper and clean. So maybe that's why.

@inclemency: I know I should be drooling over the pants, but love the robes on your Mage!!!

Edit: Or is that a Mage? She's carrying melee weapons. Is that an Arcane Warrior, or a Rogue with a penchant for velvet?

Well it's just the dead trenches that are buried in GROSS. The previous part, where you find Branka's journal isn't, and you've killed the spider queen and everything else in that area. So You'd have a nice place, relatively clean (at the worst dusty) to rest and recuperate before the Dead TRenches.

So near spider carcasses? What if the echoes of passion happen to summon more spiders? :D
They literally drop out of nowhere, so....yuck.

@ Inclemency
I don't think I have that urge and if I do, I'd certainly not act on it...
