Go to Lothering and see if it's there then.

Will do. It always worked there though. Reloaded my CE & there it was! Reloaded HN...Nooooooo. Weird. The one time I actually want to marry him. I think my Laptop is a secret Loghain fan....:P

I've said before, I could swear some things go much faster on an elf, or dwarf than with a human. I could never prove it though.

Alistair's swooping kiss happened much sooner on my city elf than on my sisters human noble.

Could also be that she was not playing hard to get, and was hitting him over the head with the "Get in my tent" stick every time she could.

Weird Alistair bug I just ran into as a fem HN: The "Do you want to talk about Duncan?" option never showed up. :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying: I'm going for a wedding here....I know, it's not romance essential but I like that dialogue & not even clearing out my Override & deactivating my Mods changed that. Do I have to start all over? *Cries in a corner*:crying:

Where are you in the game?  I've had some playthroughs where that option didn't show up until later, but I don't know why.  I assume it has to do with the approval rating.

Flemeth's hut. I actually thought that MAYBE it's the approval & cheated it up +15 +15 etc. until I reached the point where he gains minor constitution. (Or is it Strength?) Still not there. Is there a certain approval point where that option opens up? The one time I decide not to spare Loghain.........

I usually get that either in Lothering or in that first camp session after Lothering, after the nightmare talk. I think my Mage may have had it with him in Redcliffe, because she wasn't quite as much of a talker as my first two Wardens. Either way, though, it has always popped up, and before the first Bonus check, too. :? (btw, I think it's a Willpower bonus; somehow that makes sense, seeing as he's a Templar and all. . .)

One can never tell with you. Kinda like you thought my "set her own grandmother on fire" for trying to get between my blood mage and Alistair  comment was serious a while back. Thanks by the way, for asking before you "borrowed" that for your own blood mage/alistair one shot.  It was so nice to find my forum statements, and one of my character pairings thrown into a parody mocking them both.:?

And thank you for the clarification.

It honestly didn't occur to me to ask and so I'm sorry if that upset you. I really wasn't trying to take aim at your character or anything. What happened was that I realized I'd be writing a lot about the Landsmeet recently and had a lot of little ideas about future Landsmeet one-shots but didn't want to try to write a ton of little short ones and so combined them. I get ideas from the forums all the time and generally don't feel they're specific enough to ask for permission to use them. The ones for that one-shot, as far as I remember, are as followed.

1) Alistair would be a great king because he doesn't want the throne and unhardened Alistair seriously disagrees
2) No one in-game notices if you use blood magic at the Landsmeet, not even the Revered Mother
3) Loghain tries to have you executed if you have a tie
4) A Warden was going to spare Loghain but Alistair said no and so they changed their mind (that's usually done a lot more seriously in-game and they angst about it so I suppose that could be offensive to people who have done that)
5) The phrase 'I'd set my own grandmother on fire if she said I couldn't be with Alistair.'
6) The Warden quitting the Blight because she got dumped.

I realize now that you didn't actually mean it but Angélique kind of would do that because she's...Angélique. An insane Mary Sue that even the man that she's dating (until he manages to escape her by clinging to Anora of all people who he's also not particularly fond of) doesn't like and after that whole discussion I just thought that it would be fun to see how Alistair would react to someone literally perfectly prepared to light a grandmother figure on fire because of their love. Was it your blood mage you said that remark about? I honestly didn't make the connection and any resemblance to your character (and I can't imagine there would be much beyond the blood mage thing) was completely coincidental.

I know with my HNF, I've gotten that Duncan dialogue option much later than Lothering, but I can't remember where.  I just remember being surprised that I hadn't gotten it yet.

Yes, that was my blood mage I said it about.
It's general good form, as evidenced by a post in the Nathaniel thread, if you see something that sparks an idea in a forum post, you say "oh that gave me an idea! mind if I use that for a fic/drawing/etc?" as someone in the Nathaniel thread did with your post earlier this week.  You never know if maybe the poster wants to use it in their own works, or if they'd be ok with it being used at all outside where they post it.

Stumbling across something like that, and recognizing it, being used in what appears to be mockery can, and obviously will anger people.

@Persephone: How much did you talk about Duncan just after Ostagar? There may be a limited number of things to talk to Alistair about in re Duncan, and if you were trying to get his approval up as much as possible, you may have covered all those options outside of Flemeth's hut on your own, so the "Do you want to talk about Duncan?" dialogue opener may not be necessary.

Late to the party, but I figured I'd add my two cents on the deep roads sex thing...

In my younger days, I was on the receiving end of a hoax where a group of us were being hunted by the cops (looooong story so I won't go into it here). Anywho, at the time, we didn't know it was "pretend" and I wound up in hiding with a guy I had a terrible crush on. The reality was that I found myself more interested in being with him than I was in getting caught by the cops. Call it adrenaline, nerves, or denial, but the feelings were intense.

So, I for one completely understand the attraction being in dangerous situations can ignite. And in game, even though I've done the DR and know we won't die, my wardens always pause for one "last" kiss with Alistair before heading up to the roof to face the Archdemon.

If it's an actual idea you got from someone else, sure, but that was just one line that was really more of an expression than anything so - as I said - it didn't occur to me to ask.

When there was the discussion about whether Alistair would be okay to date blood mages and vice versa, I jotted down a potential one-shot idea of the pair breaking up over the issue. Is that vague and generic enough that it's fine to use or am I really expected to seek permission from everyone who has ever wondered if they can make the pairing work?

As it happens, I thought the person asking me whether a really obvious idea that they got from reading the response that I had to their own story (Nathaniel's brother faking his own death since he met with Nathaniel somewhere after the Blight was over and before we found out it was a dream) was kind of unnecessary. I suppose someone else might have been pissed if they read her story and saw Thomas had just faked his death but even with that it was an actual plot idea instead of an expression.

Of course, if I had actually been trying to mock the idea of someone being willing to light their grandmother on fire for Alistair then I would have been completely missing the point since it's not like any of the several people who said that actually meant it.

@Tigress: Wow. . .that's an interesting bit of a story you have, there. . .*resists temptation to dig for details*

And yeah. I think a sexual impulse in times of violence and danger --whether it's lust, or a need for comfort, or a desire for something hopeful and affirming, or whatever-- is not freakish at all. Maybe a little animalistic, but that is part of our nature.

Hell, even Shale's old calcified lady bits get worked up at the sight of Sten getting his slaughter on. . .

Did you act on those feelings? I wouldn't think it's wise.

But anyways, I started the discussion half jokingly, that's what I do.
I personally would find that environment to be a turn off. I understand some might be turned on. I would think it's common sense either way to try to be cautious and not just get carried away :D

"Granfather, why are you telling me naughty stories and why were you an idiot?"

Alistair: Ok, I overlooked the fact that you just told the guy that tried to KILL US ALL that he could serve you. Tasteless, but I will overlook it. But turning the mage that lured you into the trap, into a skeletal servant is just spiteful Jaina

Morrigan: Tis a bit unusual indeed, but I approve.

You don't need a mod for that, it's the "Animate Dead" talent.

Ohhhhhh. . .thanks.

So far I've stayed away from those types of talents. My Mage is much more of an "I'll do my killing my damn self, thank you" type of spellcaster, and I just don't see it appealing to Morrigan. While I think she'd enjoy having minions, I think she'd probably prefer to possess live, fit Templars a la the Desire Demon in the Circle Tower.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......... now that you mention it, my CE rogue (HN is also a rogue) did get the "Maybe they knew the plan" (Paraphrased) option at the Tower Of Ishal while my HN did not. Weirdness abounds. Maybe it's some Willpower/Cunning/Approval check? O_o
