I played a Male-Dalish once.

Total rip off of Legolas though and it took me about 50 hours to notice it fully.

I have yet to fully play a male anything. I keep meaning to but no. At the moment I'm playing Angry chancellor in Amaranthine surrounded by steamy man flesh. ../../../images/forum/emoticons/whistling.png

I have a female Dalish (sorry, yuki) in mind to play but then a male Cousland and a male Aeducan. That will wrap up my tour of Origin possibilities, though I may at some point go back and play each Origin again as the opposite sex. I may not, though. It's rare that I choose to play as female characters, if I'm ever given the choice; I should be glad to have a game in which I find the women so likable and easy to play.

[Edit]: Yargh, ToP! Hang on, everybody. . .

[later]. . .heheheh. . .Eh, why not. I'll never actually allow this to happen in one of my own games, of course:

Assuming Direct Control...

Ah. Harbinger. So many memes.

Lol only Soldier gets to juggle 16 weapons. Because soldiers are awesomesause. ^_^

I much prefer playing a Sentinel myself.

Infiltrator, all the way! :P

I actually really like fem!shep's voice. I don't like the default appearance and found it harder to make a good looking character on ME1&2 than in DAO, but once I did, I <3 her, eyelashes and all.

and an Alistair, for topic:

Takes me a while to get the look that I like for my PC's especially in ME2.

Another fun class to play is Adept , nothing quite beats throwing people around with your mind.

I am a soldier to the end myself. I just like using Assault Rifles.

And infiltrators never win a battle, it's up the good old heavy infantry to get the job done.

I LOOOOVE archers. Especially silly faced ones (Morrigan gets stuck next to him all the time since she's ranged lol)

IDEK anything about Mass Effect but my Shepard is a Soldier, I think. Not that I got past the bit where you meet Liara since I SUCK SO BAD at shooting. Jesus. I seriously am the worst.

That's cause we don't have to go into the battles. We can end wars with one shot.

Kirrahe: We are trained for espionage; we would be legends, but the records are sealed. Glory in battle is not our way. Think of our heroes; the Silent Step, who defeated a nation with a single shot. Or the Ever Alert, who kept armies at bay with hidden facts.

I only have far away screens of my male warden archer....he's here in awakening, doing overpowered one-shot kills on just about everything

Archery in DA:O was so bad, and in Awakening was so overpowered

A Vanguard is the most kick ass class though.
At least the way I play it.
The First boss fight in LOTSB as a Vanguard is epic.

Although apparently I commit heresy on the class for using the M-22 Eviscerator[/b][/b] over the Claymore.

Good for you. I wonder how that will work then when the Reapers show up....hmm not going to work. I got a sniper rifle myself if need be, just that I prefer in most cases a hands on approach! The strength of a soldier is their versatility after all. The Vanguards are the ones jumping into combat on every turn.

Like this!

It's not a coincidence that all my wardens are melee fighters, and that my single rogue has no point in stealth. If I was in the skin of any of my Wardens I would be jumping headlong into battle ( after calculating the odds before it and setting up a plan to win it ) not sitting back behind the shield wall. Reckless? Yes. Foolish? Likely? Bloody idiotic? Maybe.

Most of my mentality has come after almost four years of playing as a Tank in World of Warcraft, and hell I started tanking when the average tanking situation would be like this: "Ok, X takes this mob, Y takes this one etc. etc." Me? I ran straight into the bloody fray with a complete disregard for Crowd Control. To give an analogy, it would be like rushing headlong into a line of twelve elite Ogres...yeah pretty much that.

I have been called insane on quite a few occasions, all very much deserved!

Not sure that a tiny assault rifle is going to hurt dreanought sized legions of Reapers either.

In fact, I wonder how we are ever going to beat them in ME3. I suspect there is going to be a huge space battle, and we might try to board some Reaper "mothership" and destroy the core, or something.

EDIT: which wouldn't make much sense since they are supposed to be independent from one another. Chances are they are going to be beaten in a meeh way.

Probably like the end of most sci fi movies then:
Blow up the final boss/base/mothership the rest then go kaboom, drinks all around.

What are you going to do against a Husk rush with your Sniper Rifle though?

And really. I want to control a sodding dreadnought in the final battle. A Kilimanjaro to be exact with it's 78 guns on each side. Jump this baby into the Reaper fleet and unleash HELL on em.

SMG or heavy pistol. Incinerate with AoE (Cryo if we can learn it).
And that's what squad mates are for, distract everyone while we stealth it. We can handle it.

Best thing to do inclemency.

Find the loudest and heaviest music you can:
Amon Amarath
Crosscut

etc.

Tune out and just play along, and it goes by fairly quickly.

Phalanx Pistol with Cryo Ammo is murder on husks.

Yeah, but you were just pushing for more male Dalish, and especially archers --which my female Dalish is going to be. I'm having loads of fun with my Mage but the Rogue is still my favorite class. I've been a DC dual-wielding, bomb-throwing, in-your-face Rogue, and then a CE stealing, stealthing, trap-making Rogue (but also a dual-wielder); now I want to try a Bard/Archer Rogue. Seems perfect for a Dalish.

I SUCK SO BAD at shooting. Jesus. I seriously am the worst.

I hear you on that one. I bought the PS3 version of Escape from Butcher Bay --okay, I bought Assault on Dark Athena, but primarily for the chance to play Butcher Bay on the PS3-- because, well, hello. But yes, in order to play this game I will have to confront the almighty vortex of suck that is my ability to shoot. And to choose from among something like 16 weapons, while fighting. Not to mention having to actually pay attention to my stores of ammo, and reload when necessary. Yeah. It's not going to be pretty.

SMG against Husks? That's goddamn suicide on Insanity! ( get armor on that difficulty besides health ).
