sounds interesting (and I am sorry, I have not watched the vid lol).

Lyrics if you don't wanna watch the vid.

Yankee:  Why do I do this to myself?  Why?  I mean, really?  Can't I just write fluff?

Well, OPT is a happy story...um, it's going to stay that way...right? Image IPB

It must be the week for songs and plot bunnies. The song "Hero" by Regina Spektor caught me and is making me write an Alistair story, after Elissa spares Loghain at the Landsmeet.

I think it was the lines "He never ever saw it coming at all" and "I'm the hero of this story, I don't need to be saved" that really got me.

(song , lyrics, 1st chapter)

I never, EVER, mix food with sex.

Ever.

Sex and food, especially sex and yogurt, can be messy and potentially icky.  Sex and champagne can be nice.  Bubbly and fizzy.  :innocent:

I have to agree here. Milk products -- no, no, no. They always show whipped cream, but not good!! And yogurt... :?   Also, unless you have some kind of mattress protector or are doing it in the kitchen, things can get quite messy and soppy.

Now, tasting food as a lead up is an all together different thing. If yogurt is your thing, then I would say by all means, feed it to each other.  Although I'd much rather have molten chocolate cake than yogurt.

And now my latest character can't help but fall under his charm. And a mage to boot. Which I always find ironic. AW in modded armor, fwiw.

I've only spared him once (well twice, if you count the time I restarted after doing so). I just finally went through with it, and it was so hard! And sad. :crying:

But after reading The Stolen Throne recently, I was interested to see Loghain's dialog and development when in your party. I guess Alistair paid me back by making me write his story!

@Reika - My human mage warden (also an arcane warrior) has my favorite ending with Alistair (stay wardens together). The mage/ex-templar thing throws an interesting dynamic into the relationship. I especially like his backpedalling when they first meet in Ostagar. :D

Speaking of songs, heard this one a couple weeks ago, and it fits a F!PC/Alistair US end.  Image IPB

Oh.  That was beautiful.  Thank you for sharing!

On the song topic, Anthem of Angels by breaking benjamin I find fits the F!PC/Alistair US end very well, especially the lines 'I keep holding onto you, But I can't bring you back to life, Sing the anthem of the angels, And say the last goodbye'

You can listen to it here with the full lyrics in the description.

You know, reading the lyrics, that song reminds of F!PC/Alistair in Deep Roads for their Calling, with one of them dying and the other staying by and defending the body.

Edit:
Sabreene, I'm currently working on an AU that will have Loghain actually being pretty cool, and you have no idea how excited I am for that.  I mean, I hate in-game Loghain, but this AU Loghain tickles me.

There's a lot of Loghain-sparing going on lately.  Is everyone getting their drunken Alistair's ready?

No, no!  Not sparing Loghain!  Do not want drunk!Alistair.  This is really AU, long before the events of the game.

Here.

Maybe there's something about drunk!Alistair that makes us want to fix him. So, who are the anons that are coming to his rescue on the kmeme? I'd really love to read those promised fills. :o

I wonder what options Hawke has when interacting with a drunken Alistair. He / she could influence Ali to redeem himself (I don't want to say Hawke redeems him, he / she is getting too much importance as it is). Or ignore him. Or mock him. Or beat him up. Possibly driving him to suicide.

In any case, I hope it's realistic. I doubt a few words from a stranger is going to redeem Alistair. Maybe encourage him to seek redemption, yes. Afterall, it took the Warden quite a while to change Oghren and all that was almost in vain.

Yeah, I don't want Hawke to save Alistair.  That just would seem like a smack in the face to me.  Maybe something that just makes his life not quite so awful?  I don't know, though.  Considering the mental state he's likely to be in, what could Hawke possibly do to make it better besides take pity on him.

Persephone:  Did you ever get the Duncan line?

Also, Carys is back down to only +10 with Alistair after offing Isolde.  I'm beginning to wonder if this girl is ever getting in his tent.

Having fun with the boys in Awakening but Nathaniel looked rather ill...

So I got awesome instructions on finding his .mor and warmed up the pallor a bit. I remember my first character having that pallor before I knew about mods. Why BW used such yellowish/warmed up death tones I'll never know.

I miss Alistair though...unfortunately Kasha is in the deep roads, STILL and I can't get up the OOMPH to get through it right now.

If Isabella is a party member in DA2 and Alistair could have had a threesome with her...

Oh my that might just lead to some interesting banter.

Yea, I don't know what Hawke could do, except maybe give him money, which he would probably use to buy more booze and make it worse. Maybe encourage him or enlist his aid in some small matter that boosts his confidence.

@ Yankee

Not saying I would do it. I just want more options and in the state Alistair is in, driving him to suicide shouldn't be too difficult.

Better before and after shots, I know we have some Nate fans over here...it's on my project page. Or should be. Must go try and see if I can get Kasha moving.
