My first Warden was pretty close to me physically (well, besides having straight hair and being a Dwarf), and I did play her as close to "me" as possible. I kind of assumed that most people did that in their initial playthroughs of role-playing games --maybe not recreate themselves physically, but certainly make the choices that they would have made if they were in the same position. My second Warden (CE) was definitely not me, either physically or otherwise. She got to do a lot of stuff that I would never have done, which was interesting and fun, but I never felt as "close" to the character as I did to my Duster --or to my Mage, either, whose personality represented another aspect of me.

No I just did ALL the quests I could even the ones I should not have, because I am a completionist.
My 2.0 run is now much more heavily RPed than my first.

I did end up killing Loghain though since I missed out on why things happened, and the whole slavery thing so I killed him, but didnt want Anora on the throne alone since I killed him so I put an unhardened Alistair with her on the throne. Yea my first run was bad, and I died a lot on that one.

I haven't tried doing myself yet, but I bet it'd take me for EVER, considering I'm such a nitpicker...

Oooh, Geralt outfits!  I need those!  I like the little potion slots.  I've been trying very hard to get into playing Geralt, but I keep running him into walls, and making him look embarrassingly silly.  I still haven't gotten used to the mouse interface.

I got inspired by The Almighty Ali's re-creation of himself, so I tried it too.  I've been starting to finally get a little bored with DA, so this is giving me a different slant on playing.  This character does look a lot like me (when my hair is dyed).  I'm going to try to play her as much like myself as I can.

I was too intimidated by the toolset before, and I never found any presets that looked anything like me.  The picture that I posted above resembles me, but it would need about 20+ years added to it, unfortunately.  Plus about 15 pounds.  I think her face is either too short or her neck is too long.  But I think the features are right.  My hair is usually closer to the style in my avatar pic, but I wanted something different this time.

I'm copying you and using the Adopted mod.  Those Couslands seem to enjoy taking in stray apostate mages and adopting them.

Lol, I'm totally loving the Adopted mod.  Cousland mages are great!  I play my AWs as rogues rather than tanks, and with the 'Open Locks Spells' mod, she is more like a rogue...but with a bit more heat at times

I'm rping a story for my new mage ... Bryce and Eleanor knew how badly mages were treated in the circle.  After one of their many trips abroad, they brought back a child and adopted her.  They taught her how to keep her powers hidden until Duncan walked in on her while she was practicing in a quiet corner. 

She found this great staff on the mage who was with Howe's soldiers.  Funny thing is, she's been carrying it around with her since Duncan brought her to Ostagar, and even Wynne didn't seem to recognize that she's a mage.



She's on her way now to meet Alistair.

Don't think so.  You can see she's about half a head shorter than the PC and Alistair, which is the same for all HFs.
