Tess looks good! And appearance wise, seems to fit with Loghain. I sincerely hope however that Loghain will not be the smiling one of the couple, while she'll be the strong silent type. That would be way too much lol

ROFL no, and I don't think they'd be a couple even. It would be more like she realized after killing how that it didn't HELP her with her grief, it only made her feel like a killer. And she loved Alistair, thus wanted to prevent him from feeling that he'd sacrificed his soul. Except of course, it backfired.

And the A/U I mentioned earlier would have required Loghain to have had sex after his wife died, with some random servant from Highever...and I just don't think I could do it, though it would make a fun post campaign story.

Though I suppose there is the Hero Worship gone too far idea, but that's probably been done to death.

And thank you:)

BTW, I really found it pathetic that a dwarf, human or city elf can understand more about halla than a dalish who dedicated her life to understanding them and communicating with them.
I would say how incompetent the Dalish are, but that's a trend popular with mostly everyone in Thedas, or Ferelden at least.

It's a Survival check.  The only one in the game, I think.  I always get that quest because of Alistair in the party.  :wizard:  (I play rogues and mages and they have better things to put points in than Survival.)

You mean that another companion can solve the quest for you if they have enough points in Survival? I don't think that has ever worked for me.

Yep, I've had Zevran and Sten each solve it for me with 2 points in Survival. I almost never bother with Survival points.

Me neither. Sigh. Among other things, let's hope she never is considering writing fanfiction. Her style of writing sentences makes me want to punch kittens. D:

@Lady Jess: I love that shot! Photoshop? gah, I so need to learn how to take better screen shots.

Yep, photoshop. I get bored sometimes with plain old screenshots. I took it a bit further, playing with filters.

Image IPB

It looked to me like what her dreams looked like. I'm still pulling my hair out with photoshop though. I can do some things with photos and such. But I can't get the pencil tool to look like pencil, which is holding back my "learn to draw" goal big time.

That is a really powerful picture. I gave up on the pencil and I'm still, after a year, learning most of the filters without it looking well.... stupid.

I almost went back and posted something, but I didn't.  But who cares if Alistair's hair is brown???  Why does that matter?  This is part of the reason she hates him?  His hair is brown and his face isn't smooth?  *sigh*

I'd just leave it alone. The typing actually reminds me of someone we were warned was a known Troll. they set up name after name after name and post very similarly. Usually one sentence posts that say something incindiery to get things riled up. And frankly mocking grammar and spelling, and eating popcorn etc is just going to fan the flames. As we saw earlier, when it turned to decent discussion they lost interest.

Yeah, I have nothing more to say over there.  And I'm not really mocking her grammar.  When I get tired, I find it a chore to read run-on strings of words like that.

The popcorn part was me :x

Anyway I think we can save something good over from this thread.:

Can you really blame him for not being happy about it?

I don't blame him for yelling if you kill Isolde since he's clearly against the blood ritual. I do blame him for yelling if you kill Connor since he himself suggested it.

I understand him being upset and not happy about it, but he should've remembered that he was in favor of killing Connor before yelling at the PC. I don't know if I should blame this on poor writing to be honest.

No, I think the Cunning dialogue after this reveals what's really going on. It's an emotional freak-out over Eamon. In other threads I've compared it to Jon Snow in Song of Ice and Fire, another bastard who's ill treated for that fact but who is more protective of his "trueborn" brothers and sisters than they are of each other. Alistair is protective of Eamon's family and dreads Eamon waking up to find that he- Alistair- killed his son or his wife. So when he says "I wouldn't normally suggest slaying a child," he's thinking like a reasoning Warden and templar. When he freaks out afterward, he's thinking like an orphan boy who revered Eamon and got treated like a piece of dirt on the bottom of his shoe.

That is an interesting take of Addai. I have never perceived it in this way, when he said his "let's kill Connor." I always blamed it on poor writing before...oh well :innocent:

Well see, you should have kept the popcorn over here. I mean we go to the cabinet to grab a snack, and you've nipped off with all the popcorn!

But now I reminded myself that I spent the whole evening carping about DA2 rather than finishing my next chapter.  What a freaking waste.

Oooh... uhhh... I lost my train of thought... oh there it is.  Yowza!

The Loghain fan thread wouldn't like it, prolly.  A lot of them complained about tmp's mod that gave him a few hours sleep.  But it works very well as a young Loghain.  *sizzle*

I am so excited, next week I can start reading all the fanfic I have bookmarked once this halo is gone! It's been too uncomfortable trying to read with it, posts are okay, but pages of text have been just too much.

Yeah, the hate thread did bring some interesting posts, this being one of them.

I was amused how some people even posted tops in that thread... :P

Heh what *blinks innocently* It WAS an Alistair thread after all. Not a good one by the OP but the quality came with us regular people ;)

@inclemency: Wow then you have a lot to read. O__O Honestly I rarely read/start (new) FF by now, my own FF monster is keeping me busy enough.

That being said I neglegated writing totally tonight due to forum craziness and weird hate threads...hmm

I have a boatload of stuff to read, but even though I'll be free of the halo, I'm still not mobile yet, and will be recovering from two additional operations over the next...who knows how long. Lol, I have a stack of books and bookmarks I'm eager to get to.

Schratty's Loghain is a good looking guy, but he's just not the Loghain I fell in Image IPB with. Though Loghain is lookin' pretty good in the pic Lady Jess posted earlier and I think she said that was tmp's morph.
