In my case my middle name is Alexander so I like to go by Alex rather then my given name....cause I hate it.

I know what you mean... I also go by Athena, which is my middle name. Not a blast, but still better than my first name^^

Too little Alistair on this page has him becoming pensive...

EDIT: ToP. How lucky.

As far as I know he wasn't older then thirty. Younger more then likely. I remember that one of the devs said the age giving for Anora in Eamon's letter at RtO was wrong in any event.

Yeah, my RL name is Nicole btw, nice to meet ya all lol.
And Bruddajakka, Alistair is actually 20/21 yrs at the beginning of origins, as Gaider once has stated. The toolset ages are false and still from the time before Alistair was redesigned.

I like that one too.  Thats my oldest's middle name Image IPB

So much better than Earlene Image IPB I can never find any personalized stuff and no one ever spells it right because its got like 7 different ways to spell it (and I don't want to say how many times I have had to correct people and say its not "Arlene") and I have only personally met two women in nearly 50 years who share my name.

One of my husband's favorite actresses is named Earlene Davis.

I don't have a middle name. I like my first name though, despite the fact that Melissa means honeybee and all insects and insect-like things are disgusting.

Unless they are crustaceans, then they belong in my stomach.

Wasn't Cailan like, 25 or something?

I'm not sure.  It's been almost a year now since I read Gaider's books.  As I remember, Cailan was already old enough to be aware that his father wasn't around for him, and Eamon & Teagan were still young enough to be considered kids.  How old is Teagan now?  Eamon seems really old, but I guess that's partially from being so sick?

It's the beard. If Alistair had a mat like that hanging under his nose, even *he* would be considered old...

Teagan is approximately 38. He was 8 during TST and its been roughly 30 years since then.  Eamon was 15 then so roughly 45, though the poison may have aged him cause he looks like a freaking demented Santa Claus.

I had a boyfriend at university (oddly enough, he was called Eamon, though pronounced the proper Irish way, not Eeeeemon like in the game) who had a beard. He was 19 but everyone assumed he was about 30. Then he shaved it off and looked like a handsome young man his real age.

OMG, Eamon is about my age!  I guess I must be in better shape for my age than I thought I was!

I think Loghain pronounces the name right.

Right?

Yes, you'e right. Loghain is the only one who pronounces the name as it should be.
On the side - wouldn't that sound quite similar to your own name, then?^^

Well, he pronounces it correctly as far as the standard pronunciation goes, but in the game world it is Eeeeeemon xD

I don't have a middle name either.
But I do have a very long full name, with father's name, the name of a one or two prominent ancestors, the name of my clan and finally the name of the tribe we originate from.

classical Arabic names are awesome, too bad we can't use them now.

And people wonder why I think Isolde, and Teagan were in a relationship. It also makes him marrying Kaitlyn really kind of creepy now.

And so your love of Loghain was born! :D If I was in your shoes I'd probably have been struck dumb the first time that happened^^
Not that there's any chance of that actually ever happening to me, my name being probably the last to show up in any type of computer game...

@Schratty: Thanks! At least when choosing Greek goddesses, they didn't go for Aphrodite...^^

I raised an eyebrow and smiled slightly, I think

Good you specified computer game, cause I was going to mention God of War :P
I am pretty sure "Athena" was a specialization for the Greeks in Age of Mythology (RTS) though.

Okay, maybe the impact would've been greater if it had been Morrigan speaking... ;)

Figures. Mythology without the Gods is a no-go, I guess. I hope it was a *good* specialisation, at least :wizard:

Ayman (Arabic: َأيْمَن‎) (also spelled Aiman, Aymen, Aimen, I-man or Eye-man)[citation needed](pronounced Eye-mun) is a male name of Arabic origin. It is derived from the Arabic Semitic root for right, literally meaning he who is on the right hand side; in Latin, the corresponding name is Dexter.

Mr Right

Yep, it also means lucky and blessed :D

And thanks Sylva!

My City Elf is named Dexter

Going through the toolset and Alistair's dialogue, I found a line I had never seen that cracked me up way too much. After he tells you how he was raised by flying dogs you can say:

"Do you write at least? I bet your mother's a b!tch."

The things you miss for not having enough points in cunning early in the game.
