I always thought it was boring having brown hair and blue eyes. It wasn't until I was older I realized it's an uncommon combo. Outside my husband's family and myself I don't see it that often. But my eyes are strange. I hit my thirties and they turned greyish greenish blue alot of the time
(one of the rare times I take my own pic, to send to hubby while he was overseas)
I now embrace my brown hair...though I do enjoy some red highlights sometimes.
As you should, jess. You are a lovely person. I actually like dark hair the best, both brown and black, on females, especially coupled with extreme differences of coloring, such as light eyes or light skin. In my experience and opinion, I think in terms of beauty, Iran and Lebanon have the most beautiful women I have ever seen, because such exotic color combos, as well as exotic bone structures, are not uncommon.
My family on both sides was predominantly blonde/light brown hair with blue or occasionally grey eyes. Only my mother and I have green eyes. When I lived in rural Ohio as a kid, the local rednecks, still ignorant and superstitous, believed people with green eyes were more likely to be evil and untrustworthy inside, and probably engaged in devil worship or witchycraft. Having green eyes, plus being the child of two hippies AND from California, well....
let's just say I don't get terribly nostalgic for the place.
