We tried scaring her with photos, but she seems to just like the attention.  She thinks she's taking part in serious debates over there, but while everyone is posting interesting stuff, she just occasionally pops in with a question that usually has nothing to do with the subject ... like "If the Orlesians arrived, would Loghain die?"  And then everyone ignores her and continues to talk over her.  She just gets upset when someone tells her off or when activity dies down.  She pretty much told me I wasn't welcome there.

@tuppence -- I keep my game saves and screenshots on an external hard drive. I have two external hard drives -- one I originally bought to back up my family photos and videos and the second one I bought specifically to keep my gaming stuff separate from my RL stuff.. Keep an eye out for sales -- I think I got my 1.5TB (ton of space, probably overkill since it's only 25% full, but more stuff will get added anyway) for about $115 in a store. Even if you don't really want to buy extra space for a "game," at least consider getting it for family photos. I have seen several people get teary because their computers were no longer booting up and they had thousands of pictures on their internal hard drive and would have to pay a fee to get the data recovered. (Plus it makes life easier to have that stuff already saved when you reformat your computer to clear out any trojans/viruses or software issues.)

I've got about 10 large firewire drives, 3 of them are TB drives. I do video editing for a living, so I need a lot of storage space. But I don't think firewire works with PCs? Maybe I don't have the right drives installed on my Windows partition, although I never had to install any on the Mac side. Anyway, the drives aren't recognized if I try plugging them in while in Windows.



@Gilsa - do you have the game set to save the games onto the external drive?



@ Giggles - yeah, I saw. Take deep breaths and ignore.

OMG, Ejoslin is in the hate thread posting Alistair/Isolde sex pics now.  I guess there's no hope of it quieting down now.  I'm surprised she'd do that.  I wouldn't dream of going to a Zev hate thread and trying to fan the fires.

I hate trolls as much as anyone, but at least those hate threads serve a purpose. For the past  month or two, we've had the troll who created the "Why Leliana is crazy" thread on the appreciation thread. He has been a pest, creating new accounts and using a proxy to circumvent the bans he has been imposed.

If he decides to stick to his hate thread, he'd be doing me a great favor by staying out of the thread I visit. The same can be said about the Alistair hate thread. At least the hate isn't being posted here.

Just ignore the hate threads and let those who want to hate do it there.

@tuppence -- No, I don't. I just move my finished games off my hard drive. I may actually set aside some money to get a bigger internal hard drive because I finally got an iPhone for myself. My husband's had his for several years and we have an iPad as well to hold movies and other stuff. All the iTunes purchases are eating up the hard drive space like crazy, which is giving me little room to install games.

I've posted that picture in the Zev Thread, in the Alistair Gush thread, and now in the Alistair hate thread. Look, I'm not trying to cause any offense to anyone, but is it really that bad? When I see a Zev Hate thread, I pass it on by because, well, people are entitled to hate on him and I'm not interested in discussing that. When I have a problem is when they post in the Zevran Love thread.

But my guess, the thread will die anyway. But it was pretty interesting at some points.

Edit: And honestly, trashing characters is better than trashing people.  It's ok to attack trolls, but damn, just because someone doesn't like Alistair and makes a thread about it doesn't make them a troll at all :/

So anyway, I'm done with my lecture.  I was just trying to lighten things up.

Yes, it would be nice to just ignore the hate thread and not keep bumping it up to the top of the page, which is exactly what the OP wants.
