It depends on the off topicness. For example, going off topic about Loghain would be pretty much ignored. Going off topic with random stuff that's not DA related, it wouldn't take long before the mods gave a warning.

Aye, I'm fine if people don't like a character...I will always fail to wrap my mind around it (Not Alistair but any character) but I can ignore it or get my lulz out of it. Problem is only that she is showing behavior of a troll, the discussion part was coming purely from the others not her. She is merely seeking attention, which proofs the blatant change of thread title just proofed.

However will give Alistair some non-love with Lenya in my ficlet now.

I don't know...it may be stupid.  But I was thinking of spamming it with random 80's/early 90'slove ballads.  Just go in there and just post some cheesy lyrics.   It really depends on how dedicated some people will be until a moderator jumps in.  

And in case you're curious, I got the idea from my bf.  He encountered this dickford while playing League of Legends.  He and his team mates just kept responding with Lionel Ritchie and Michael Bolton lyrics to his hate talk.  The guy couldnt' take it and just left. 

Edit: But, yeah, I think the best way to get rid of that thread is to just ignore it.  So, forget what I just said up there.

He actually impressed her since he dragged his feet so much, and waited for tent time. I really cant stand people telling me that a female City elf MUST loathe humans, and should not go for Alistair.

So anyway, I'm done with my lecture.  I was just trying to lighten things up.

Of course, starting a topic to discuss why someone doesn't like Alistair does not make them a troll.  But when a topic starts scrolling down the page and no one is paying attention to it, changing the title to a more inflammatory one is troll-like behavior.  She's not interested in discussion.  She's interested in keeping activity in her topic.  I'm perfectly capable of telling the difference between a troll and a non-troll.  I've been moderating forums since '92.

Look, I don't want to get into it with you.  I like your work too much.  But my guess is that the thread will not die as long as you and Zjarcal continue trying to keep it alive.  So I'm done with my lecture now.

@sky - that might work, but there's a chance you might get blamed for deliberately trying to get it closed.

You're just as guilty of keeping it alive (you have posted a lot more than me). If it bothers you THAT much, I won't post in there anymore.

You are right that I've posted a lot in there the past couple days.  But her topic was way down on the page, and I was hoping it would scroll off, and then she starting this name changing thing.  That's when I started posting here saying "Troll"  leave it alone and let it just die on its own.  And that's when you all decided to keep it alive.  I know I don't have any right to tell anyone where they can or can't post.  But I was really hoping to see it just fade away.

It will fade away. The discussions are pretty much dead at the moment and any new posts are mostly people from here facepalming at the OP.



Either way, the OP could decide to keep bumping it again and again, so even if we boycott it, there's a chance it'll stay on the front page. At any rate, just ignore it (as I have been ignoring the Leliana hate thread) and hope for it to fade sooner rather than later.

Yep same here with a F!Dalish elf. Most pair her automatically and instantly up with Zevran in their minds without considering the other possibility.  That or I'm too wrapped up in my story

Sure, Len has several issues to work out before and one of them is to overcome her distrust of humans, so tent time for Alistair is highly unlikely for umm ages (read many, many chapters) but boy is working hard and is slowly but sure getting under her skin with winning her trust and proving he isn't like the other shems.. Alistair's patience will probably pay off later on ...and then he will get a reward...or many:wizard:  But the cookies she will never share, she loves them too much for that

 *grin* I just have the feeling that the OP liked that serious discussion was happening in her thread, which is why I don't think she was a troll.  I don't think I'm one of the bigger contributers to the thread.  But I can post a lot when on a roll.  No harm was meant at ALL.  If it keeps going, it shouldn't even be a problem, as it will most likely keep the trolls out of your thread (though I don't think this is an issue).
Anyway, I don't want to fight with ANYONE here.  So, ummmm, let's see...

Gah, ultimate sacrifice with a still in love Alistair and in love Zevran.  It's sad  But I swear, Zevran looks so grateful to Alistair, giving them this (I know, I'm reading WAY too much into that, but still).  Bleh.  I hadn't realized he was still in love at that point!  They had broken up way before the landsmeet.

My husband's had his for several years and we have an iPad as well to hold movies and other stuff. Cant argue with that especially after ME2.

Its funny that so many people chose Garrus (half bird/reptile/batman) over Thane (made for the ladies) and the only other human (dat prize).

I really like Garrus if you cant tell. Its nice to have a person who trusts me and dosent call me a traitor to my face.
