Thanks for the replies, guys. I did lose approval with him, so I probably chose a wrong line (though I didn't choose the "just sex" one, I know that).
Can anyone tell me what lines I need to choose to get it to work?

keep your replies positive or neutral like "I dont' see how this changes anything" when he talks about his needing an heir/wife. if it sounds b*tchy avoid it. (and of course USE the 'king' line and the persuade). My favorite part is when he asks if he's forgiven and you tell him he has to earn it !!

I did all of that, and still got dumped.

hmmm what is your coersion/cunning? I've never had any problems with that scene.

Cunning is 50 and Coercion is lvl 4.  I seemed to have passed the persuade check because he changed his mind.  I'm going to go back in and try it again.

Found the problem!  Woot!  I missed the first "king" line the last time around.  Saw it this time and avoided a bunch of other dialog I'd gotten before, but still wound up where I could persuade him that being a king wasn't a punishment.  So, got through the scene without losing approval and he's still flagged as in love.  

Now to go work out his punishment.

To be honest (and I am probably going to have cheeses thrown at me for saying this, but I really don't like 'Stromistair').  I can mod him, put tatts on him, change his hair style and add scruff to his chin/cheeks but I don't change hair color or eye color (though I do use an eye texture mod).  I won't say he is ugly because that wouldn't be right, he is certainly attractive, he just looks too different from what I like to be Alistair for me.
Plus, if you have a warrior who looks exactly like Alistair, isn't that confusing when fighting?  Or doesn't it get weird for you if you RP...? Were they twins separated at birth and Alistair got the sh*tty end of the deal for it?
When I play my Roland (who looks a lot like Rolistair but much darker hair) I still can't keep Alistair in that morph, I have to put him in either something close to vanilla or something entirely different, like "sparta-stair".
Pic of "sparta-stair" to illustrate. This wasn't my idea but I made the morph.  First one i saw do this was Serissia but I don't think she would mind me remaking his hair and giving him some scruff.
*Edit* I realize this isn't everyone's cup of tea either and I am not trying to flame strom-istair or promote my morph in favor of yours.  As long as you enjoy your game and have fun with whatever morph you want to put on them it's cool. Just stating my PoV on the morph.

@ sylvanaerie: Well, he's a private morph, and started as my pc. I'm into my billionth playthrough of DA, so I like doing goofy things to keep the game interesting (to me, anyways). On my latest play with Strom, I replaced all the male companions with Strom's head. I was amused.

@ sylvanaerie: Haha, epic! I'm currently looking into editing the .utc (I think those are the right files), to turn Morrigan and Leliana into Stromigan and Stromana.

Is this a male or female CE?  And if female, are you using romantic scenes?

• I always like the first meeting with the "One good thing about the Blight...." line.
• For romantic scenes, I like the swooping kiss.
• I think there's a mod that activates kill shots.  In Tower of Ishaal, his leap into the air to kill the ogre is fun.  Or killing any of the dragons, especially the AD.
• Are you going to have him duel Loghain?  Those cut scenes are dramatic.
• I also love the shot in Deep Roads where they first see the AD, but you have to have Alistair placed correctly in the party.

I have so many ideas I want to play with, and the long weekend is the perfect time to do it.



I agree the duel cinematic is really awesome, it just takes a Long time to beat Loghain if you use anyone outside the Warden usually.

I don't know.  I don't think so. I think it takes both lines.  But I have never tried to only use one without the persuade so I don't know for sure.

lol, I could definitely do a version like that ...i'll polish up this one, then do a pants version...definitely a cool idea, especially if I could find a way to do it without a saddle :happy:
