Things are extremely strict in the ME forums and there was a point where a fan thread for Tali got locked repeatedly and a moderator would not allow a new Tali thread to be created for a while because he wanted his point to get across to the community. Read the first post in this thread to understand all the rules they must comply by in order to not get their thread locked:

We have it extremely easy in the DA forums. Sometimes I go back to my earlier posts to edit out any picture spam so it doesn't bite this thread in the rear (aka "not my fault!" =p).

WOW!! That's just wow!!
Seriously, I think we really have it good in here. Better to not poke the bear either way.

To be honest, picture spam can get really boring and it's often killing discussion. So I kind of understand why they want to reduce it.
I'm sometimes kind of envious of the other threads like the Anders thread or the Zevran thread because they move a lot slower but most posts offer discussion material or they post prompts and write little ficlets. That's nice. Sadly, I'm really allergic to Anders and Zevran fics, so I really can't follow but I do appreciate the general idea.
Oh, did anyone notice that the SIB community is no longer Alistair-centric? The Origins fandom is getting smaller.

I agree. Both those threads hardly ever go off topic and the fics and art (mostly made by them) are great.
I also think the Morrigan thread deserves some praise, at least Brockololly and Terra_Ex.
EDIT: Pardon the ignorance but what's the SIB community?

Maybe OT but I finished Act I of DT yesterday (1.05 fix) and was blown AWAY. Better than ANY official DLC story and depth wise. VO were amazing for the most part too and the fact that DAO companions actually have interjections etc. is amazing. I also LOVE the new companions. Anyone know if those three have anything to say on the original campaign too? (They are tied in with other Mods) The new equipment, locations, plots....hands down the greatest quest based Mod I have ever played in DAO any pretty much anywhere else. I cannot wait for the remaining 2 acts. And IMO, this Mod is the first that turns the old principle (Be "evil" and folks will leave ya) around. And I LOVE them for it!inclemency wrote...

Lol, thanks very much, Sky!
I'm wrestling with a morph in the toolset trying to create an elf character, and not being very successful. I'm dying to start a new game already and play Dark Times again.
I'd love to see that. I'd say everything is possible: write something, do art (even if you only create a cool screenshot that works), link to art or a fic that fits the challenge.Maria13 wrote...
I don't know, what about a weekly writing challenge on an Alistair subject or pairing or something?
That's what the Zevranites seem to do anyway...

Of course, yes, anything creative.
I'm interested. Though I wouldn't volunteer myself to write any ficlets; it will take me ages to finish. And not with the photo-manip, sketches, etc. either. I'm just not good at that. In short, I'd be happy to be a content audience here.tuppence95 wrote...
That sounds good to me, if all the rest of the Alistairians are interested. I'd be willing to try anything to avoid having those kinds of restrictions placed on this topic.
And even though, again, I am a horrible writer ... I enjoy reading. And looking at pretty pictures.
