I've been thinking of installing DT, but am leery of doing so because I haven't been overly impressed with other "new content" mods I've installed in the past.
So... those of you who have played it, convince me it's worth installing. Are the VO's really good? Does it have background music/ambient sound (call me picky but silence drives me crazy LOL)? What makes it better than, say, Alley of Murders or Castle Cousland?

is one of the best of the mods ever made.  The modders spent 7 months
on this and the way it ties in the game is almost seamless. 

They even use character voices from the toolset along with the other  voice acting.

That would be awesome, Schratty!  I guess we still need to hear from more of the old regulars about it.  Sky's the only one who has responded so far.

I get what you mean about liking their prompts. If we want to move away from screenshots that only fit the theme of the day for the sake of putting up pictures, we can encourage people to try to find a different creative outlet. One of the reasons why I liked the Alistair thread so much is because there were so many people tinkering around in the toolset and swapping tips on how to improve appearances or gameplay. People were coming up with great cutscenes or showing off some new dye they created for an outfit or coming up with new tattoos/scars. I was learning and the Alistair thread just happened to be the place to be. People from slower threads were actually coming here because well, their threads were just too slow. I go in phases where I only check the dwarf thread and it moves slow enough that I only need to come by once or twice a week and it won't have moved more than five pages.

How about dropped themed screenshot days as a start? I am just making suggestions. I don't really care either way.

I like the thread the way it is. We tend to police ourselves pretty well and as far as I know have never been warned since the last thread was closed. I would definitely be in favor of adding things to keep the thread going, but we're also good just the way we are.

Yeah, adding things without necessarily changing what's already established would work the best. The thread is already well behaved for the most part, adding a creative activity would only help keep it going strong.

Not that I would participate. Hell, I barely even participate in the Leli prompt!

And I wouldn't want to change the thread completely.  If anything I would like to keep the theme-specific day posts.  Adding a few more elements to keep this thread alive certainly wouldn't hurt, and Maria13's idea seems to be the best candidate so far.

I like the idea of a creative weekly challenge. Although most of us who have said as much also say we are not creative. At this rate we won't have many submissions, lol. And we need to figure out whose going to come up with the weekly topic.

Back from the dead. New job started , so yeah. I'd volunteer to write actually. It's fun and I'm semi-decent in it, I think. So count me in.

As someone said above, not proposing to change the thread but add something to it addition to it's existing content. I like the screenshot days, for example.

Perhaps those of you that have defined yourselves as 'non-creative' (I'm not sure there's any such thing, and my intention is benign) could give us volunteers a few ideas. I was thinking along the line of the weekly prompts on other threads and the non porn meme prompts...

OK so I've been hanging out in the Zev thread.  Apparently their first prompt ever was "Rinna" the latest one has to do with festivals. So perhaps just a single name for ours? What should it be?
