Hey, it was Morrigan's idea, ok?

Okay, here's my silly attempt...
"There were times Alistair almost wished he'd never left the Chantry." This was one of them.

@Reika & Tigress: I know! That, I have to say, is my favourite conversation out of all of them. He just does the cutest smile when he says that line.I mean, look at that face! Look. At. That. Face.
And I happen to have done that conversation when I was trying tmp's pants on him. He wasn't the only one blushing.

So I'm reading LD's Mistakes on FF.Net (really good AU Maric/lil Alistair tale) and Addai posted a review where she wished someone would make a pic of Alistair and Maric on the horse as they ride out of Redcliffe. 20 mins later and I had this pulled out of my head. I'm thinking of asking her to be my muse for a night job
Sort of a wonder/fear expression on his face at his first horse ride and Dad holding him with a look of confidence "I won't drop you, son." kind of thing.
If only Maric had done this in the canon, things would have been so different.

If you haven't read the story you should. Teagan is just freaking awesome in it too! And Maric really chews out Eamon's ass in it too!

@ Lady Jess That ending is a fun one. As for what happens to Alistair I couldn't say. I always make him king with or without Anora.
@Giggles Have you tried the DN where you killed Trian? That can make for some interesting plot twists.
Dain Aeducan did that, and the sided with Bhelen later. Really interesting dialouge you get there.
Thorin Aeducan did not, but that didnt stop him from shield bashing Bhelen to death later on,
Yay! And yes, you said it. If only, if only... but I think Alistair turned out to be the man he is because of what he went through. Cailan could have used a little less princely pampering.sylvanaerie wrote...

I was only irritated from a gameplay perspective. There were several conversations along the way that seemed to emphasize that love was a sacred thing to Zevran. The fact that he couldn't sleep with the warden once he realized he was in love and that whole earring thing ... it just seemed like the payoff was supposed to be a declaration of love at the end of all that (especially after Gorim and Alistair being so open with their feelings). When I got to the post-coronation and he still didn't confess his love, I honestly thought I had picked the wrong line somewhere and googled for spoilers. Turned out he never said it. Seemed pretty anti-climatic. Kinda like going after Morrigan in Witch Hunt expecting answers or a big payoff after spending all that time, but Morrigan is the same old, same old. Obviously not saying "I love you" wasn't a dealbreaker since I've romanced him a few more times, knowing what to expect and what to look for -- it just that on my first game with Zev, it seemed that's what the story was building up to. Then again, we thought we were going to live happily ever after with Alistair and that he wasn't ever going to break up with us, right? =p Hindsight is 20/20 and there's a bunch of stuff we don't know on our first romances like the hardening thing or that Zev was supposed to have said other stuff at the gates.Lady Jess wrote...
I sorta missed romancing Alistair this time. Because he will say "I love you". But looking closer, Zev may not be able to say it out loud but he can sure as hell communicate it with a look.

@Gilsa, I think the rationale is that the words "I love you" can be very cheap, especially for someone like Zevran who has used words, seduction, etc. to manipulate. Not even Alistair says "I love you" except in certain limited dialogue circumstances. IMO Gaider avoids this as cliche'd. That would be my guess, anyway.
Oh, I get that, I do. I'm just saying that on the FIRST game, back when there weren't spoilers galore and nobody had their hands on the toolset to unearth all the little VO notes and so on, when you have no clue what to expect, it seemed to me the game was making a big deal out of the subject of love with Zevran that I assumed that the verbal words were supposed to be the payoff. I misinterpreted.Addai67 wrote...

I still laugh when I remeber hearing my sister get dumped by Alistair.
Me and my dad were watching one of the Bourne films, in the living room, and the computer she was on, was right behind the couch pretty much.
Things were okay and I noticed that she was at the landsmeet. Then:
YOUUU BASSTTTARRRDD!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
She was a human noble, but she let Alistair duel loghain, while unhardened then she kinged him.
Then he dumped her, and yelled at her for making him king.
She finished the game by feeding him to the archdemon, and refusing to even consider playing again.
