But what of her first and only friend...whom she calls her SISTER. I love her too!! And no option to go through the mirror:(

I am not saying that those who didn't follow or romance Morrigan can't be connected to the story or offer a different perspective to it.
Just that a Warden who romanced her and followed her should logically be more connected to the plot. Why else follow her? Sure, many might have followed her just because they love her and that's all they want, but I really didn't do this. I followed her for a material instrumental reason.

To then say that my Warden sacrificed everything he had accomplished in Ferelden, just to do nothing for 30 years, except have sweet sex and change his baby's divine diapers, then that's all kinds of annoying.

Yes, it is! :D
I don't care how good she is, it's going to get boring eventually.

Pleasing Morrigan is not the extent of Arcturus' ambition afterall

Morrigan: What's with the bored look?

Arcturus: I left my throne for this?

That might make it more interesting for a while, but only to a certain extent :P

You know, we blame a lot on Gaider, but he says the female writers were egging him on with the Alistair breakup and Sheryl Chee commented on laughing evilly about some wrenching aspect of the end game. They all sit around and throw darts at our souls. Image IPB

Gaider did say, during PAX I believe, that we would find out what happened to Maric and Fiona. *excited* *scared*

I heard about that as well, but I couldn't find any of this in print for me to confirm. Wasn't sure if it was actually said or just hearsay.

And I just bag on DG a lot mainly because he's man enough to put his opinions out there and speak on behalf of the writing team as a whole. Typing "DG" is a lot easier than "the writing team" when one wants to complain. LOL. =p

I think I am the only person who does not want to see the Warden again. References to their existence, yes, but if I never play as thm again I'll be fine and in fact prefer it.

I like my warden, but I am fine with not playing her again. I just wanted to know if she made the right choice in declining the ritual so I could close the book on her story. It was the biggest event in all of origins and specificially related to the warden. Why do I have to be on Hawke, a character that has nothing to do with the warden, to find out the answer? Or am I going to have to wait until DA3 still?

Well, if it is a choice that impacts the world as a whole you could probably play as semi-sapient banana slug #4 and still get an idea of the effects of the Warden's action. It's just that you won't be seeing it through the eyes of the one who made the choice. As long as it has some visible effect I don't really care who I'm playing so long as that individual is interesting on their own.

Its sad but the DR is pretty much the ONLY really big choice in Origins.

All the other choices are limited to Fereldan, most likely.

I really want to see what happens with the DR, and having seen all the outcomes to it:

(Alistair, Loghain, Warden, No DR).

I want to see what happens,.

Recycled, but still a favorite of mine. The happy scrunch.

Edit:

It's not a derp and he's got his helm on, but I thought this was a great shot I got of Ali in combat.

So, if you've ever wondered what would happen if your PC gets frozen just before the end of a fight that goes straight into a cutscene, here's a clue:

And poor Alistair is doing his best not to notice his gf's bizarre muscle spasams.

That's pretty funny, Tigress!  I don't think my pcs have ever gotten stuck that badly.

I'm really enjoying this DC playthrough so far.  She just met Alistair, and she thinks he's pretty funny.  And he's good to hang onto whenever she starts worrying about falling into the sky.  And Duncan is so awesome!  I've never gotten a lecture from him before in Ostagar.  Apparently, he's been getting complaints about Min's fingers being found in other people's pockets.

She only agreed to follow Duncan up to the surface because she's heard tales of Bob.  Well ... that, plus the fact that the were talking about killing her.

I can't wait to get around to playing both the dwarf origins again! I really had fun with them on previous playthroughs. I'll never forget my surprise during my DN origin when I realized I was the middle child I'd heard about in previous visits to Orzammar. I think that was only overshadowed by Leske betraying me to Jarvia as a DC... to which my response in every subsequent playthrough has been to let him rot in that cell. (I'm terrible at metagaming some things, I confess!)

I never thought I'd say this, but I feel like I'm running out of time to get all the playthroughs of DA done that I want before DA2 comes out! Now I wish I'd saved my previous wardens, but I deleted them when I reinstalled the game thinking I'd only need my canon. As Ali would say, "stupid, stupid thing to do".

Mostly I'm happy to let the Warden go, but I did feel ridiculously pleased when I saw Esra walk onto the screen in the golem DLC and Witch Hunt.  I would be thrilled with even getting a glimpse of our Warden, like a face in the crowd.

I guess I'm weird, I'd love to play my Warden in something meaningful again. But then again I've used Marlana in a lot of different games.

So it seems that Paragon Bob Brosca's legend is still growing.
Or did she hear this song:
Bob!
The dwarf they call Bob!

Oh, He robbed from the rich
and he gave to the poor.
Stood up to the nobles
and he gave them what for.
Our love for him now
ain't hard to explain.
The hero of Dust Town
the dwarf they call Bob.

Our Bob saw the casteless' backs breakin'.
He saw the casteless' lament.
And he saw the nobles takin'
every silver and leavin' five bits.
So he said: "You can't do that to my people."
said "You can't crush them under your heel."
So Bob strapped on his hat
and in 5 seconds flat
stole everythin' nobles had to steal.

Oh, He robbed from the rich
and he gave to the poor.
Stood up to the nobles
and he gave them what for.
Our love for him now
ain't hard to explain.
The hero of Dust Town
the dwarf they call Bob.

Now here is what separates heroes
from common dusters like you and I.
The dwarf they call Bob
he turned 'round his bronto
and let that money hit sky.

He dropped it onto our houses
he dropped it into our yards.
The dwarf they called Bob
he stole away our pain
and headed out for the Roads!

(Here we go!)

He robbed from the rich
and he gave to the poor.
Stood up to the nobles
and he gave them what for.
Our love for him now
ain't hard to explain.
The hero of Dust Town
the dwarf they call Bob...

He is hard not to like.

Especially after he forget his armor and Starfang, before showing up to work in Amaranthine.

Nothing like showing up on your first day on the job in your gotch and half armed I guess.

I really hate that no Warden's Keep gear transfers. Still its quite funny.

*laughs* I had something similar on Marlana, when I started up the playthrough in Awakening, I had her in the armor you get from Leliana's song. Forgot it got an upgrade and appeared as new armor. I also have the Natural Bodies mod. When the opening scene opened up, she was naked except for helmet, gloves and boots.

It was very much a  moment for me.

Giggles, Bob needed to meet my sticky-fingered Queen Cousland. She has a soft spot for thieves. :D But he wouldn't get away with it in the palace.
