Wait, Duncan pulls you aside for stealing in Ostagar?! That's awesome, I never realized that. Cous was obviously laying down on the job there. But, trauma and all that, she wasn't at the top of her game.

Awww. Cute screens, Jess. Anders needs those tough dwarves to babysit him! Jaina is the one you wrote about last week, right? *sadface*
But, hurrah for dark-haired elves in Pious armor! You make me nostalgic for Esra. Someday, if I keep playing DA, I'm going to replay her game. I've been trying out the Divine spell mod with Wynne a little, and it would have been perfect for my little Andrastian.
Aieee, you just moved Duncan up the awesome meter a notch and I didn't even think that was possible. Oh, and I agree he is so great in the DC origin story. Really in both the dwarf origins. One of the best parts about those already good origins.bleetman wrote...

If you're caught stealing during the day (as in it says 'failed', and before you return from the wilds) the next time you see Duncan, he's defending you against accusations from one of the knights hanging around Ostagar. Talking to him after that starts it.
One of my favourite Duncan moments, really. Half telling you off, half encouraging you. So long as you don't get caught

I need some help figured this be the thread to find it in. Lat playthru which I intended on making my canon derailed because I ended up executing Alistair. What I want to know is, is it possible to be Anora's King-consort and still have Alistair serving as a Grey Warden? If so what do I have to do. I planned on doing this but when he cut Loghain's head off he was all like gimme the beyotches I am the king. So I reloaded and decided not to kill Loghain. Is it only possible to become king with Alistair dead/exiled?

Alistair will still give up the throne hardened. He still does not want it. What I have done is have him duel Loghain and kill him. And when Eamon asks you to make your say, talk to Alistiar about giving up the throne, and he will. And when Anora says that Alistiar must give up claim to the throne, he gladly does. And, again, this is hardened Alistair.

Eh.. I think it is up for interpretation whether he does it gladly. Depending on dialogue choices, he says "pick me, Anora is not an option" and so on. But you can force matters and give Anora the throne.RagingCyclone wrote...

That still doesn't mean that he hasn't come around to the idea that it's his right, if hardened. As I said up above, at some times he expresses very forcefully that he does want the throne. For him it is a matter of wanting to see justice done and the Blight defeated more than personal ambition, but for instance in a WC ending he says "I didn't want to be king, but now I do" and in the after-chat talks about realizing he could do good etc. It's an ambivalent picture if he's hardened.RagingCyclone wrote...
@rak, no. He does not want the throne. And even when you marry him to Anora still doesn't really want to doit , you have to twist his arm, so to speak. So to be king, you just ask Alistair to renounce any claim to the throne and he does "absolutely, wholeheartedly, I never wanted it"
