Oooh! Looks like KoP should be very happy about the latest DLC news. But what's with this archdemon was slain and the darkspawn halted by a "lone, heroic Grey Warden"?
In most of my stories, Alistair played a very big part in that ending, and he would be interested in Morrigan's story.
I quote "word has reached the Wardens that Morrigan has returned to Ferelden"...The Wardens... Alistair...maybe????
Well, I suppose, technically, this is post Awakenings, so there are other Wardens now. But in my game, Alistair has a child with her, and my HNF damn well wants to at least see from him if we're wrapping it up.

It could be poor word choice, but the announcement thread said that this was the final DLC for DA:O.cmessaz wrote...
I hope they plan to wrap up all stories and not just the Morrigan romance ones.

Yes I saw that too <.<tuppence95 wrote...
The way they are wording the description with stuff like "One last thread hangs in the saga of the Grey Warden" sounds like this is supposed to wrap up our warden's story?

Damn! That's different from what they posted on Facebook. Over there it said:
"Uncover the secret carried by Morrigan and the plans she hides in Witch Hunt, the next DLC for Dragon Age: Origins!"

Yeah, they probably do mean wardens as a whole, but I can hope...and why would any other warden care if she retuned? For King Alistair, even if it was Awakenings like, I'd take it and I hope that non-king Alistair is not still mia after year.
@ Gilsa - I hope it's not trivialized either, and I know there are alot of possibilities of where Alistair could be but imo a male who did the dr and the female in a relationship with Alistair (who did the deed) are the most personal/emotional paths and I hope they don't leave her alone to work it out.

If he isn't featured in some way, while I can understand BW cutting him out so it's 'safer' RP wise for the various decisions people made that just seems kind of...well...lazy.

Yeah I am nervous about this. The ability of a $7 DLC to tie up this story reminds me of how the Architect's story was (not) tied up in Awakening. So much potential, and the fact that you could kill him probably means we'll never see him again.SurelyForth wrote...
There's so much about it that seems lazy. This is the big finish to what could be an extremely compelling plot? We find her a year after the Archdemon? Unless it takes place over several years (and it won't) it seems so very unsatisfying from a story standpoint.
The last we're going to see of the OGB is as a three month old?? Really???
Hoping to be pleasantly surprised, but thus far what they have done story-wise past Origins has left me cold.

What the hell happened to the 'There will be more DLC and patches for DAO before DA2 is released'
One patch and two DLC and that's it....I really don't know what to say other than WTF BIOWARE?!

Sure it makes sense. If he's not dead or exiled then he's King or a Warden. I doubt you're going to have Morrigan waiting around for you to go running off and telling Alistair exactly where she is so he has time to go look her up, especially as Morrigan likely doesn't want to see him. Also, he probably either has more pressing kingly duties (is the Bannorn still having problems?) or the Wardens are having him busy elsewhere (like wherever the hell he was during Awakening).FFZero wrote...
I'm hoping/praying for at least a little bit of Alistair in this DLC, because aside from the Warden Commander ending or the ending where Alistair becomes a drunk, it doesn't make sense for there to be a DLC about Morrigan where you can potentially confront her about the DR, and for Alistair to not be there in some form.

If he's King then yes I agree that it makes perfect sense just as it did in Awakening, but if he's a Warden that seems like a weak justification if he isn't featured especially considering how unnerved he was thinking about the consequences of the DR. Even if he just heard a rumour that Morrigan was back do you really think Alistair would just do nothing?

I'm incredibly irritated by this. I have got to stop believing what Bioware says.

King or not, he was really worried about the ritual. He'd want to go and deal with whatever. Heck, as long as he's alive, he could be brought into in, say, having returned to Ferelden having heard a rumor, or somesuch. It would be very interesting to have different Alistair scenarios play out in whatever situation this is. However, that would require extensive dialogue, and this is a DLC. It's unlikely to be more than 3 hours, which is little time to deal with the story. If it's just the warden alone again, I'm going to be pretty cheesed, though.FFZero wrote...
