@Melca - That was a nice insight into Alistair's view of the HN when confronting Howe. And since it's before the LM, he could easily be taken aback by her vehemence, not having yet experienced it himself in regards to Loghain.

@Reika - That's another Alistair that better not dump his girl after the LM! He just better remember he never wants to hurt her. I love the way you delved into his feelings about his actions. I can easily see himself doubting his own morality when he's faced with his brutal, albeit justified, actions. I'm sure he really would have a crisis of conscience in a situation like that.

@EK - Love it! Yes, his darker side would surely come out when faced with maleficarum.

Edit for ToP:  Figured I'd lighten the mood a bit.

Aslistair's not quite sure what to make of the new Warden.  Her sense of humor (at least he hopes it's humor) is... unique.

Heh, well, I disagree with that interpretation. That's okay, isn't it? ;)

Huh well Alistair's line says  "sarcastic, a little contemptuos of the Chantry" as stated in the toolset. So, why would I ever expect you to *gasp* believe what the game itself said, even when it's CLEARLY an argument over the chantry, not whether or not to kill the mage...lol But of course it's ok, after all you WINKED and that clearly makes EVERYTHING better. You'll always believe what you want, even when the writer HIMSELF states EXACTLY what was meant, or the toolset states exactly what is meant, but as long as you wink it's A-OK:whistle:

I love these prompts since they're quick mental exercises. I wanted to use a theme that is rarely explored and consider what goes in the mind of a man who is trapped into a political marriage with a woman who openly flaunts her infidelity to him. A king now has more voices whispering in the dark. Does he share his brother's fate or make his own?

Edit: The Crows are offering to buy the baby for three gold. What? It's a good price!

@Gilsa - I love it! Your drawing is wonderful and the choices he's considering are unsettling. Poor Alistair.

@Gilsa: Killing a queen for only three sovereign? I guess they have reasons to be want her dead, too. It's a bit rich of Eamon to play the 'uncle' card, especially since he's not. That is just so Eamon, though. That picture is really creepy.

For some reason I thought that the Crows were offering three gold to buy the child. Silly me.

And that is a really great picture. Creepy as hell (and so fitting of Eamon to write that), but really great.

Aye, three gold is a tip of the hat to Zevran who was also purchased for that price. Alistair can just kick Cousland to the curb. =p

That is infinitely more horrifying than I initially thought. He'd better not going through with it...

There are a lot of people willing to pay a lot more than three sovereigns to do THAT.

Jesus H. What the hell. I just gave my opinion. I didn't say yours was wrong. You're the one who went all capslock for no apparent reason. Guess what? It's not CLEARLY. and other people's interpretations are just as valid. Are we only allowed to express opions that have some kind of stamp of approval?

Tigress - Thank you. And he isn't dumping her (I didn't make it clear, I've been using my regular FF for the prompts, I'll have to mark it that way), but there's still more angst in front of them.

It just gets a little tiring when the game or the  writers say X and you argue the point and insist you interpret it as Y.

David Gaider named Alistair's age. You decide it's different. The toolset says something is true, you decide your interpretation is more correct and thus is true in your world.  Do you even realize how OOC not showing mercy IS to Alistair? Even a blood mage? "contemptuous of the chantry" because they would ram a sword of mercy through her heart makes perfect sense, in the context of that scene. But not YOUR Alistair. And then when you don't like someone elses interpretation it's all passive agressiveness with a wink at the end. As if that little wink is supposed to make it come off milder or friendly.

Meril, I think you had a wonderful prompt idea. I'll be sure to make mine more....controversial and provocative.

Just to see what happens.

More controversial and provocative than 'sparing Loghain' or 'executing Alistair'? Image IPB

No, since all of them would have the same opinion. I meant internally controversial in my attempt to disolve the Alistairian cult.

Something like:
"I am not sure how old I am"

Or more Eamon hate.

Edit: Or you could try 'Do I want to be king?' Image IPB

Virtually everyone hates Eamon here, or don't like him as much as to fight over him.

And most here want him to be king.
Na, I need something else.

There is one thing, but it would hurt me way too much to be worth it.
And I hope no one ever...EVER comes up with it! (someone hinted at it today, but nothing major thank God).
