Huh well Alistair's line says  "sarcastic, a little contemptuos of the Chantry" as stated in the toolset. So, why would I ever expect you to *gasp* believe what the game itself said, even when it's CLEARLY an argument over the chantry, not whether or not to kill the mage...lol But of course it's ok, after all you WINKED and that clearly makes EVERYTHING better. You'll always believe what you want, even when the writer HIMSELF states EXACTLY what was meant, or the toolset states exactly what is meant, but as long as you wink it's A-OK:whistle:

Jesus H. What the hell. I just gave my opinion. I didn't say yours was wrong. You're the one who went all capslock for no apparent reason. Guess what? It's not CLEARLY. and other people's interpretations are just as valid. Are we only allowed to express opions that have some kind of stamp of approval?

It just gets a little tiring when the game or the  writers say X and you argue the point and insist you interpret it as Y.

David Gaider named Alistair's age. You decide it's different. The toolset says something is true, you decide your interpretation is more correct and thus is true in your world.  Do you even realize how OOC not showing mercy IS to Alistair? Even a blood mage? "contemptuous of the chantry" because they would ram a sword of mercy through her heart makes perfect sense, in the context of that scene. But not YOUR Alistair. And then when you don't like someone elses interpretation it's all passive agressiveness with a wink at the end. As if that little wink is supposed to make it come off milder or friendly.

Gah! I give up. The wink wasn't passive agressive. It was attempt to say stop yanking my tonsils out for no reason without coming right out and asking WTF is your problem? But that didn't work, obviously. And Now I see your problem in full blazing glory. Lighten up, would ya? I never said Alistair wasn't 19, I said I don't like to play him that way. I never said you were wrong, I said that I interpreted that differently--which I can do without it doing you any damn harm at all. So get off my freakin' back.

Thanks for the feedback here and on FF.net (also to Reika and Sarah) Yep, this was my thought with that prompt. There are some situations that urge Alistair to react more ...drastic, so to speak ...and those aren't limited to Loghain.  Getting his love out of Fort Drakon is one of them. I actually pondered whether to write the abuse or not, because it was damn hard for me to put Len in such a situation. Though since I love to write words that hurt, this part where she compares darkspawn to those humans and concluded that darkspawn are more merciful...is now my favorite part. Oh and and of course that head meets iron bar part, I clasped my hand in enjoyment after writing that.

I will confess I actually started to read the first one, up until he had the "Maker, she's beautiful" thought, and then I just lost it. That was just too much, making our earlier discussion about the whole awkwardness of having Alistair woo multiple Wardens seem frivolous by comparison. "Beautiful" is an adjective reserved for his Wardens (all the millions of them), but never for Morrigan. Never.

Er... except he does actually call Morrigan beautiful.  If you play a male Warden and are romancing her, he'll admit that she is.  Of course, he also calls her a b*tch and evil in the same conversation, but still.  LOL

I read that Jakia story and it's not that bad.  He's not even with the Warden in that story, so who cares?  It's not like Morrigan is sticking around.  And at least it's not you-know-who.    She also had a really cute one about him as a templar in Denerim, with a wicked (in a good way) little twist at the end.

Thanks guys! I knew I was accepted as of the 17th, i was just waiting for my "intent to enroll" option to show up. I have officially accepted as of two minutes ago. Not bad for thinking I'd never go to college! Not only that but it's "back home", a school I grew up as a fan of, and when I finish, I get to go back there to graduate...and my family can be there. I'm squeeeeeing.

And I actually liked the first Morrigan/Alistair fic. It's just me, but I like it when Alistair gets treated well by others, particularly when the warden is not a romantic option for him. I liked Leliana filling the wardens shoes in DSC and I sometimes wonder if Zevran would ever find love without the warden being in his life. Morrigan is a survivor so she'd be fine without it and Leliana obviously would find love again because of her optimism and giving people second chances.
