Morrigan doing that is an inherent contradiction that makes the universe collapse on itself.

Or at least makes me want to crush the world

Heh, well, the author's excuse is that Morrigan hadn't gotten laid in at least two years so Alistair was a welcomed change of pace. Maybe I shouldn't describe how he screamed her name. Oh, wait. =p

I am not amused.

That's in cyber space. And that's not Xanatos, that's a computer program. In an alternate illusionary reality created by Pac to trick Goliath.
Gargoyles nerdiness I know. :D

I think Addai and Lady Jess were on my side actually or at least somewhat agreed with me, which was virtually unprecedented at the time :D

Ninajed: yep LJ, it was :P

I don't remember this altercation at all.  There have been so many.  :innocent:  But you and I agree on numerous things, KoP.  You wound me!  Edit:  Oh wait, I was agreeing that I wanted my HNM to have the option to punch Alistair's lights out in that conversation.  Right, now I remember.

Alistair getting treated well by others is a very rare occurence. People love teasing him. It seems Carver is shaping up to be the new endearing tease-material in DA2.

So I wonder what life woulda been like for a Female version of Alistair. I'm sure Eamon would've contemplated some kind of Marriage Teagan at some point. That comatose sonuvab**ch.

@Persephone -- I wonder how people write such scenes without reaching for a box of kleenex. I enjoyed it, thank you.

Thank you, Gilsa. I have a little screenshot to illustrate the story btw (And you guys know where this is coming from, of course ) :

My God. This made me cry. And the fact that this is a very plausible tale of the Warden's stay at Fort Drakon only makes it harder. :crying:

I will confess I actually started to read the first one, up until he had the "Maker, she's beautiful" thought, and then I just lost it. That was just too much, making our earlier discussion about the whole awkwardness of having Alistair woo multiple Wardens seem frivolous by comparison. "Beautiful" is an adjective reserved for his Wardens (all the millions of them), but never for Morrigan. Never.

Doesn't he call Morrigan beautiful in the game once? To a male Warden? =]

Does he?  I've only played a MW once, months ago, so I might have missed that.  Ugh.

Its a party banter or a convo where he says she is "dangerous and beautiful like a--- like a--- poisonous snake or terrible storm, only MORE DEADLY AND EEEEEEEEEEEEVIL" something akin to that.

Yes, when he asks you opinion of her. You can say she's beautiful and ask if he thinks the same where compares her to a storm, and then when you call him on it, he will agree but say she is evil.   And I think there is another time he hints at  it with the random banter, but doesn't actually come out and say it.

QFT.

*clings to KoP*

Why are we still talking about Morrigan/Alistair? There is no pairing, not even in the Bizarro-world that is DSC. Morri/Alistair- romance fics are weirding me out and are against the nature of just...everything?

Sorry but I hate HATE when people pair up two chars, where it is even obvious to a blind man that they hate their guts. No and there is no sexual tension within that either. Bleargh.

There are some really weird places where people think they see sexual tension in fiction.

Now back to ME1 and getting bounced around in the Mako.....

<with poorly constrained annoyance> whhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeee.............

I always liked to pretend to hear my squadmates trying not to freak out while I was driving the Mako in ME1. Also that going for a ground trip in the Mako with the Commander driving was an effective method of punishment. ;)

Maybe once he decided to put Alistaira on the throne but I doubt he would before that. After all, Alistaira would be a commoner and thus not good enough to get engaged to his brother.

Well...there is tension and in many games they do have sex. Image IPB

Of course, I don't particularly like the pairing either but not as vehemently as people here seem to.

My husband laughed hysterically when he saw me trying to drive the Mako my first time. I told him to stuff it or he'd be riding shotgun.

My Mako flips over so often that I have renamed it the Turtle. And I'll never forget that time that I flipped it over so thoroughly that no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get it back the right way and ended up losing three hours of gameplay...on Feros! I find the storyline there fascinating but I hate the combat, particularly trying not to kill any civilians.

As I like to say:
<Doc Brown voice>: Where were going, we dont need roads....

I hate it when I hit a bump and suddenly go flying like I am in the space shuttle.
The handeling is ok, its the sodding physics that make me want to scream.

Still firing the cannon and running geth over is worth it.

I missed the Mako in ME2 when faced with the Hammerhead...

I have a feeling this was the general expression my Shepard was given when she told someone they were on mission with her.

Yes, now we do more than before :D

And it's nice to wake up to that ToP pic.

The Mako survived re-entry after the ship carrying it explodes in orbit, with barely a scratch on it. The Hammerhead catches fire or explodes whenever you so much as scuff the paint job. They just don't make 'em like they used to.

(Huh, Mass Effect talk what)
