Finally got a chance to read/see the prompt responses (thus far) for this week...As challenging as the subject is, it produced such amazing submissions. Great work guys! And, excellent prompt, Merilsell! Now for individual reviews...
*note: this is the thing that I'm going to be doing each week for new prompts, so consider yourself warned ;)

@ Tigress: I’ve always wondered what went through his head in that scene, especially after Riordan dropped the bomb about the sacrifice. Well fleshed out and reading through Alistair’s thoughts was quite engaging.

@ Rage: Very good depiction of the anguish and the torment on his face there. It fit perfectly well for the pirate Alistair character. Awesome job!

@ Bleetman: You’ve set the tone really well in your writing. My heart sank in that last line there. Great work!

@ Lady D.: That was brilliantly done! It was brutally perfect the way you’ve captured the emotion. Reading through I was anticipating Alistair doing something really disturbing in a fit of jealous rage. I am so glad he didn’t. *sigh of relief* Oh, and regarding the contest: *Hugs* Thank you!

@ Lady J.: I like how you’ve given Alistair the role of the protective brother. You hardly see him in that light much since most of us here and most of the fanfics out there see/show him as the love interest. Nicely done! (And loved the artwork, Gilsa!)

@ Persephone: *clutches at her chest*…*in between sobs* Bravo! Well written out. I’m at lost for words…*gives thumbs up while wiping away tears and blowing her nose*

@Yankee: This is most most most MOST welcome after reading Persephone’s submission. *continues to stare at picture and goes to her happy place.* I loved how you tackled the subject and now I'm cackling…CACKLING!

@Melca33: Great insight from Alistair’s POV when the warden confronted Howe. Especially when he’s not used to seeing her in that light. Well done!

@ Reika: Another brilliant piece! That brutal side of Alistair is kinda…hot. (PLEASE DON’T JUDGE ME!)

@ Errant_Knight: Oh man…Executioner-Alistair is dark. Once again, great work with the scene! I really wish I have your talent with the toolset. You are really good with the facial expression.

@ Gilsa: Iiiinteresting…How far down the righteous has fallen. The shadowy setting and silhouette is very appropriate.

@ Merilsell: That was…pitch black. Not only did you focus on Alistair’s dark side (head and iron bar), you also touched upon the nightmare that is…well…yeah…Well done!

@ Niire: Oh damn…do not mess with The Man; especially when you mess with his woman. That angry Alistair is scary…and endearing (nice touch at the last part there).

EDIT
All this angst makes me wanna put smiley Alistair for ToP

YES!! That's so true!

I have not been here in ages... but after stopping by and seeing this, I had to reply.

I'm happy to have offered up something for your enjoyment then!

@Reika: You know, when I first saw your avatar I did a double-take to make sure that it wasn't what I had initially thought it was. (It wasn't, fortunately, because that was seriously disturbing)

You thought it was Wynne didn't You? It's ok so did I at first:P

Maybe. Image IPB

Talk about nightmare fuel.

:sick::sick::sick:

No, no, it's the same Warden (Marlana), I've always had. I just gave her a ponytail and proper silver-white hair instead of the cardboard greyish garbage it was originally.

Edit:

*laughs* Why do you think I ended it the way I did? There's nothing like fury to get the blood going. ;)

@Niire - Interesting take on how he'd handle Anora after the blight. I've never thought about what he'd do with her. I love how we can all see the same characters in a completely different light.

Thanks! I'd be happy to give you what pointers I can. PM me if you'd like. :)

@EK - Love it! Yes, his darker side would surely come out when faced with maleficarum.

Heh, just realized that I'm EK.... Glad you liked it!

@ EK *giggles*: Thank you for the offer!  But in truth, I'm still navigating my way around it.  I'm still getting myself acquainted with the morphing business.  Maybe give me a month...or 12 Image IPB

It gets easier. :) I still have a lot of trouble with levels and areas. Feel free to contact me later when you're more comfortable with it.

@Melca - How'd you get him to do that? What scene is that from? It's a great shot!

There's a reason we can only see him from the chest up, I suspect.

@bleetman - OMG! The thought that he was answering the call of nature NEVER crossed my mind until you said it. Guess that proves I'm really a woman, huh? ROFL

@Niire -- I liked that you delved into Anora post-Landsmeet since so little is said of her after that if she is not queen. At least if Alistair is executed, you get his clothes back from the chest as confirmation, but with Anora, nothing. So that was a nice interpretation and a fun read.

@Niire: What Gilsa said. Well done. Sorry I'm bad in giving feedback :P

Damn I should writing on my FF but there is this little plotnug nagging me all day that involves Lenya, Alistair, Eamon, Elissa Cousland, mixed with giving Eamon teh finger big time (and in a certain way).

Guess I have my Eamon hating days *whistle*

How can you hate such an upstanding and perfect example of Fereldan patriotism Merilsell?

I absolutely don't understand my hate, actually. I mean he is such a nice guy, always concerned for Alistair's well-being. *cough*

You know the only reason I do the Ashes quest-line in my story is Ghost-Tamlen...and because I can send Lenya at Eamon's throat this way. This won't be pretty...especially when he tries to shove her aside for a more suitable woman for Alistair...which is the basic idea of this plotnug biting me. Lenya going on a jealous rampage is kind of....intriguing, so to speak. *whistles*

That would be bad for the furniture and any building within a ten mile radius methinks.
