@RC
Oh, it's easy. Here's a list of the things I've done that have given disapproval:
- Killed the hungry deserter in Ostagar.
- Killed the injured soldier in the Korcari Wilds
- Told him to quit whining when Duncan's giving the instructions about the tower of Ishall
- In Flemeth's hut, picked all the snarky dialogs about Alistair being the real GW, not me.
- Threatened the priest in Lothering
- Killed the merchant in Lothering
- Told him to stop bothering me when I have the first dream of the Archdemon
- Told him to stop crying over Duncan
- Recruited Shale and told him "thanks for stating the obvious"
- Left Cailan to the wolves in Return to Ostagar
- Killed Connor and told him to zip it during his angry speech back at camp.
Actually that got me to exactly -100, so I reloaded the angry speech over Connor and picked a different line to get -36 approval instead of -40 (again, to save the hate speech for after the Landsmeet).
I have kept him out of the party for the entire game since Lothering (only took him to RtO to get his disapproval for Cailan's body and for the recruiting cutscene of Shale). I could've reached -100 sooner if I had taken him with me throughout the whole game since I also released Jowan from his cell, killed Wynne (and I wouldn't have used any persuade option on him), and sided with the werewolves. I also killed Owen and Lloyd in Redcliffe.
If you tell him that he's an idiot during his personal quest I think what happens is that you lose all positive approval with him, but if you're already in the negative I'm not sure what happens. I'll have to check in the toolset.
EDIT: Just checked. The idiot line during his personal quest sets his approval to zero, so if you're already in the negative there's no approval drop.
