Any Steam users taken a look at the Wishlist contest?
Normally I don't get excited over contests, but I'm feeling very lucky this weekend. I hope I can snazz myself five free games.

I have enough to do between finishing Awakening on at least 4 more characters and the WoW xpac release Dec 7 then the DA2 Release in March, plus starting school in January and moving in June. And Steam never has anything I want anymore.

While errant Alistair would not be in a fully rational state of mind right now:
-Riordian and the Warden (friend or lover) destroy what he thought was perfect
-Loghain gets to live, no justice for Duncan
-Arl Eamon dosent help him
-The Landsmeet dosent stop this.
-If hardened no one wants him to be king and he looks bad.

Added toghter he sees his surrogate father, his order, his friend/lover possibly, and his whole nation turn against him and his views. That could quite cripple most people's mind and leave them shocked for a while.
That would take a few days for him to be able to think coherently at the least. Also his self-worth is gone, his confidence destroyed, and his life in tatters.

He never would fully recover from that, so for a while his thoughts would be in such turmoil that he would not be able to plan.
He would go between anger, loss, pain, horror, and abandonment that by the time he comes out of it a good deal of time would have passed.

And bear in mind that as an abandoned unwanted child his self-worth is already extremely fragile, anyway.  I don't think those that talk about 'teachery' are in the right, for me 'treachery' implies a purposefulness that Alistair in this mental state is going to lack.  And to attempt to justify executing him for this is beyond the pale, it is like executing a child for stealing when no-one has bothered to teach them that stealing is wrong...

Piccy... It's still Thursday, right?

This is the last time I'm doing all the cooking for Thanksgiving!  My brother brought politics into the conversation and I said something that apparently offended him.  He stood up and walked out and sat in the car until the rest of his family finished their dessert.  So the day ended early on a sour note.
:?<_<:pinched:

Dishes are washed now and everything's cleaned up.  And I need some Alistair time!!!  I had to rush back in here to look at Yankee's picture.

@tuppence -- Sorry to hear that. =/

@KoP -- Congrats! Looking sharp, too!

My recommendations for you:

Morrigan Ashes Inspired Robe (I only suggest this since I saw you give your approval on her outfit earlier)

Last Night With Morrigan (Mod by Rage -- this is a sexually explicit scene so if it offends, disregard)

Morrigan Restoration Patch (I hope this is the most updated version I'm linking to you for addressing her bugs, etc.)

Yay, KoP! You are going to have so much fun! I suppose for you, the first mod should be the Morrigan Restoration Patch.

Whoo! Lookee there.

Mods... let's see, you need Alistair's First Night... just kidding. The ones I rely on most are Personal Annoyance Remover (cuts down on haze and sparkles from sustainables), tmp's VFX remover that does the same for weapon runes, Character Respecialization mod, and the oh so important Skip the Fade. Armor and weapon mods- there are a ton, but you might like the Runic Armor. I play rogues a lot so I use Shadow Warden Armor and Forgotten weapons and armor. Wings of Velvet and Verdant Sonata (they go together) are good mage items. Morrigan's Ashes Inspired robe puts sleeves on her, I think you've said you like that look.

Others can probably suggest some Cousland items.  There are some like Nobler Noble- I don't like it because my rogue should be wearing armor and not a dress- but for a warrior character it might be good.

Mods that I can't live without:

Unlock Tactic Slots -  http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=881

Advanced Tactics (set your tactics, turn on possessed and sit back and let your party fight on its own) - http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=181

Metagaming Items (just the Rebirth ring, which allows you to respec whenever you want) - http://www.dragonage.../file.php?id=13

The Metagaming Items replaces the Character Respec mod for me because you can use the ring any time. I've never used any of the other items that come with that mod though. I just sell them.

And yes, Skip the Fade is also essential!

*edited because I messed up the links.

Thanks guys! And yea the Morrigan restoration patch is a no brainer :)

And thanks Addai! I'll explore the site for weapons and armor. I am actually trying to make one myself. We'll see. Also, I'm going to try the improved atmosphere mod, though I am going to remove lots of things from it.

I'm so happy, that I think I am going to post some high quality (and by that I do not mean naked) Alistair pics asap even....and no Arcturus won't be near him :P

Oh, also I like Lock Bash mod. I hate being kept out of chests. It allows warriors to bash or mages to blast, and you can set it to whether you want there to be a penalty (items lost) or not.

Of course a lot of people use Natural Bodies. I use Pretty in Pink unders- which are actually black (you can choose different versions)- as well as all of tmp's proportion fixes to give the female model more feminine hands and stronger arms and slightly more booty.

I don't like Improved Atmosphere because I avoid large, world-changing mods and I've heard of people having problems with it, though a lot still seem to use it.

Here is a link to tmp's project page -- I recommend anything he put out because they're all top notch stuff. You may be interested in his whiter teeth mod and human female proportion fix (since it'd affect Morrigan as well).

Yay KoP! So I take the machine is working with no problems?

Ok, let me list some:

Extra Dog Slot
Morrigan Restoration Patch
Dialogue Tweaks
Zevran Dialog Fix
Shapeshifter Advance
Improved Atmosphere
Armor of the Sten
The Phoenix Armory
Tmp's tucked hair
No Automatic Deactivation (for blood mages and berserkers)
Metagame items (for the ring of rebirth mostly and the sycophant summoner which allows you to change party members anywhere)

And well, I guess I'll skip on the naughty mods since I take that you're not interested in them.

About Improved Atmosphere, it's easy to remove things you don't like, just follow the instructions on the readme. I'd recommend you remove the changing to merchant prices since it allows you to become rich way too early. Also remove the morphs (definitely for Morrigan!!), and the bodies stay feature (it slows down things and I don't like it personally).

IA also increases the difficulty, so choose if you want a challenge keep that change, otherwise remove it.

KoP, what type of mods are you interested in?  Do you want cool looking armor and weapons?  Are you looking for mods that affect the story.  I use Improved Romance Scenes - Alistair, Zevran Dialog Fix and and the Morrigan mod.  They all do more than just add romantic stuff.  ZDF puts back some very funny party banters.  There's also new quest mods.  Dark Times is one of the best.  Castle Cousland is nice for roleplay if you have a HN, but the computer generated voices are pretty awful.  I turn the sound down when playing that one.

*edited to add:  I've never had problems with Improved Atmosphere.  I like it a lot, but I don't change any of the npc faces.  The only time I removed it was when I was testing Dahlia's wedding mod because I wanted Fergus in the regular armor.

*edited again to add:
slinks s3 RAVage - http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=1406
This mod adds random enemies and magic items throughout the game. This mod makes the game anywhere from marginally to significantly more difficult, depending on the settings you choose. Almost all aspects of Random Age are customizable through the DragonAge.ini settings, allowing you to tailor the mod to your preference.

Universal Dye Kit - http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=1390
Great kit for dyeing and enchanting.

Oh, I almost forgot...

The Winter Forge!!

It allows you to alter the appearance of any items, add properties to them, create your own custom items, etc, etc, etc.

Definitely not noob friendly though. But with the cheat codes from the project page, it's easy to get everything you need quickly.

I ditched the Winter Forge because it was very complicated and WTH was that with all those scrolls... and it didn't uninstall cleanly. So not a fan of that one. It left invisible objects in the world that in some cases prevent me from going through doors.

Yes, thanks to you! :kissing:

And thanks everyone for the recommendations!

I am trying to get the toolset now, but apparently I can't register my game for some reason.
EDIT: nevermind, I went to DA:O PC and not ultimate edition
