Not a bad thing per se (the bigger a thread is the more likely it is it will get locked), but it kind of sucks that we're celebrating 800 pages when it could be 3200 pages.

*sobs* I still haven't fully recovered from the loss of the original Gush thread. :crying:

It's been four months... time to see the doctor. :P

@sky:

Oh, that!!

Weren't we going to do a dirty limerick contest? I think one week from the prompt should be dedicated to that, although I would have a hard time making an Alistair related dirty limerick...

EDIT: GAH, I got the top of page 800!! That is soooooooo wrong.

Since you people have said that angry Alistair is hot...

Yeah, that completely slipped my mind. You can totally add that idea in the prompt group you know, now that we've added that new feature ;)

Edit: Celebratory pic spam!

@Zjar, is that the -100 speech? My screen here at work sucks for looking at the pics, so I can't read the caption.

Haha, I know a pic you want Sky, but can't do it with this page. But you know the one. Alistair, Bam Bam, moonlight, the fire, and nothing else. >:)

Soooooo...I had a really beautiful idea for the guest prompt, but decided it would be too much effort.

Here's a goofy conversation instead! Obviously inspired by yankee's picture...

Alistair: In a perfect world, we would have never met...
Brand: Wait a minute. Define "perfect."
Alistair: What? I guess...no darkspawn?
Brand: Ok.
Alistair: We'd not have a bounty on our head, because Loghain wouldn't have abandoned Cailan at Ostagar...
Brand: Right! Because, if there aren't darkspawn, there would be no Ostagar.
Alistair: Yes! Wait. Noooooo. If there are no darkspawn, then I would still be a templar, full on. Lyrium addiction and everything.
Brand: Perfect world, remember? Your dad acknowledged you, maybe even married your mother. Boom, you're a prince. For real.
Alistair: A real prince? Hmmm, I don't know about that. Would I be all "Ho, there!" and "Glorious!"?
Brand: Of course not! Perfect world! Also, Maric is still king, so you can just fool around sparring and riding around Ferelden looking for the village with the best cheese.
Alistair: That sounds nice, sure, but what about us? That was the point I was trying to make...I think.
Brand: Um, in a perfect world, my family would still be alive.
Alistair: I guess so...
Brand: And we would still be the second most powerful family in Ferelden...Fergus would become teyrn and I'd be, you know, otherwise unengaged.
Alistair: Well, that sounds nice enough...
Brand: Do I have to spell it out for you?
Alistair: Spell it...oh. Oh! I see where you're going with this. I'd be the spare...
Brand: And I do love sparring and cheese. Although we'd have a lot of time on our hands. Fortunately, what Leliana says about bored noblewomen and the things they teach themselves to pass the time? Totally true.
Alistair: *stares into the middle distance and drools a little*
Brand: It would be awesome, right? Now what was the point you were trying to make?
Alistair: I don't even know anymore. But I may have a hard time thinking about cheese any time soon without, you know. Blushing
Brand: :devil:

@Surely - That is toooooo funny! Alistair will never look at cheese the same way again.

And here's a repost of my favorite Alistair pic to celebrate the 800 mark. Enjoy!

@SurelyForth - I choked on my OJ at "ho, there" and "glorious"Posted Image.  I can never get enough of your dialogues.Posted Image  And by all means put your idea out there!  You know how much we love tackling challenges. *pops open a can of worms*  Edit againPosted Image Totally misread what you wrote there.

Edit: Speaking of challenges...is it okay if I combine all three prompts into one submission?  Can I...can I...ah nvm!  *grumbles*

And just because it's 800 and I can't help myself...

I tried taking a screenshot of Alistair raising his eyebrow at the landsmeet but it goes way too fast.

This will do for tonight.

still has image ideas for the chapter when Alistair was "did you ever really love me?"  when Brand rests on his should in the rain, I really loved that moment

I was teary eyes because I was "wahhh she's with Anders now....:< I actually sulked one my bed" I am like twenty chapters behind

No, that's from the "you killed Connor" conversation. You can right click on it and open it in a new page to read the caption.

It's his response to suggesting that Arl Eamon shouldn't be revived. I LOVE his reaction.

"WHAT?! Of course we should revive him!"

It's not so much the line itself as the tone with which he says it. He is OUTRAGED by the suggestion.

EDIT:

@SurelyForth

:lol::lol::lol:

The whole "bored noblewomen" thing sooo applies to my Dana as well. I think Skyl4rk still remembers the things Dana does to amuse herself.

That other thread got me to thinking about my first experiences with DA. As many of you may have heard me say, my first playthrough was a DE who got dumped after making Alistair king, which upset me so badly that I almost stopped playing altogether. Thankfully, I gave it another try (and here I am, a year later and still plyaing).

However, what I did do was stop that game and after furiously reading through the wiki, began a new game as a HN just so I could be queen. Things are great! Alistair's king and we're engaged. Woot! Then I get to Redcliffe and find myself faced with the DR. I was FURIOUS! I so did NOT want to have Alistair boff Morrigan but, I'd already sold my soul by copping out on my DE playthrough and starting a HN just so I could keep him that I decided what was one more nail in the coffin.

And speaking of the DR, does anyone else feel it's unfair to female wardens romancing Ali? I mean, if you're male, you're either in love with Morrigan so the DR isn't such a big deal or you're in a relationship with Lei and can get Ali to do the deed for you so you don't have to cheat on her.

I know males romancing Morrigan have to deal with her leaving after the AD is slain, but at least they have a chance to find and follow her thanks to the DLC. For us Ali lovers, we're stuck with some really icky options, aren't we?
