Yeah and I'd actually be fine with the end of the journey if they'd give us something. Anything even if it's a "and they lived happily ever after" or whatever.Gilsa wrote...
Yeah, I don't get why you two are in here when people are clearly just grieving over the end of their journeys with their respective LIs. The Zev thread is dealing with disappointment as well, but I don't see anyone telling them to get over it. The writers are not reading this thread and no one's minds are going to be changed as a result. Let people vent their disappointment and move on.

And so you just decided to come in and fling crap at the few of us who do, for... what reason? Because of the outrageous comment on a freaking Alistair fan thread that we'd like to see more Alistair...
But yeah, we get it, you killed Alistair and you want to make sure you never have to see him again. Have a cookie.
Perhaps you do not make the difference, and perhaps you could care less about removing the importance of one's choice, but I do not want to see an any DLC for ANY companion that can die ( which represents ALL of them save Morrigan and Oghren - who can die in Awakening -) because that would mean that even our illusion of choice in Origins would be taken away.

And apparently to you we should not be concerned about the fact that our game choices often have Alistair as father of Morrigan's baby.Costin_Razvan wrote...

And I suppose you were trolling on the Leliana thread before her DLC came out? Or just the Alistair one, even though there will be NO MORE DLC so you needn't worry about any of your all-precious game choices being violated should Alistair poke his head in one of them.

Letting us have an Alistair or Zevran DLC does not invalidate the choices you made especially if we are answering our calling. If Alistair is dead, he is simply unvailable as a companion. If Zevran is dead, he too would be unavailable. We are not trying to ruin your ending. So please stop trying to ruin ours.

My problem is not with having Alistair in the Morrigan dlc, or with an Alistair DLC set in the past ( though this would probably butcher his story somewhat by reclying old zones like they did with Leliana ), but my problem is with an Alistair DLC set in the future.

How would having an Alistair/Loghain/Sten/Leliana/Zevran/Wynne/Shale centric DLC with the action taking place in the future ( which again, is what I thought was that most wanted here ) not invalidate the choices of those who killed said characters?
Oghren can die in Origins. He just mysteriously comes back to life in Awakening. Kind of like Kenny, really.
Wait...what? I thought the worst you could do is drive him away, and only kill him with a mod.

Wow.
I haven't seen anyone here complaining about the fact that the last dlc will be about Morrigan. I think that's the right ending to the Origins journey. I would just like it to make sense for my warden's story. I don't understand why you can't just be happy that you'll be getting your Morrigan ending. Why do you feel the need to come here and troll? So ... you don't want Alistair to ruin your story because you killed him. We get it. But you criticize us because we don't want our "Alistair is the father of the ogb" stories to be diminished? How selfish is that?
My main character pretty much forced Alistair to do the DR because she didn't want to lose him. He should be there for this final dlc. But I doubt he will be. I'll just play through it with my one character that romanced Morrigan. I can accept that. I'm not going to go to other fan threads and troll them just because I'm not getting my way.

So you don't play it or you import a character who didn't kill said character or you do a default PC. What if we left Leliana in Lothering? How can she be telling us a story about her past, unless perhaps as a broodmother?Costin_Razvan wrote...

Yes, you can kill him if you get his approval low enough and provoke an attack.Wait...what? I thought the worst you could do is drive him away, and only kill him with a mod.

I think it's because it's just easier to have the Warden (or Orlesian Warden) dealing with it than having Alistair and Loghain both being possible companions based on whether they did the ritual or not. Loghain's in Orlais so that might be complicated and it you're playing as a male character who did the ritual yourself then would either one of them need to bet here? Not to mention if you didn't do the ritual and Alistair or Loghain are dead or if you're an Orlesian and they're dead by default. For a $7 DLC, I can see why they wouldn't put in the effort. It would make it feel more personalized and more RP-compatible, though.Fangirl17 wrote...
If Alistair isnt in the DLC as a companion for some stupid reason then I AM NOT BUYING IT. If you get the GW or Queen with Alistair ending then there should be NO reason for him to NOT be there dammit! But of course since Ali could be dead in the end we wont get that. Yeah I dont think I'll be wasting my money on this one. I'll just read about the plot or wach it on Youtube. Gawd, this pisses me off.
