Scared is a good word, Storm. I do like his voice, though.

I know, rak, I'm more scared than anything

I'm trying to stay away from the DA2 section.  I don't want to know too much about it before I play it.  There's some I've seen that hasn't thrilled me.  But then I remember that, when I first saw videos of DA:O, I was kinda meh.  I'm putting my trust in Gaider & Co. and believing that they will come up with something that will be exciting and immersive.

At least we know we'll get to see a bit of what happens to Alistair.  From what SV said, it sounds like he did a number of different types of things.  That gives me hope that we'll see more than just Drunkenstair.

They just posted some kind of interview about DA2 on FB. I still feel very bla about this DA2.

What do they say...err link? I'm lazy I know.:P I'm blah for it right from the start. Haven't changed yet, lol.

On a different note, I'd love to be prepared so I just ask that now even before I have the new PC (tomorrow most likely, yay) Lenya should have freckles AND of course her facial tattoo (Dalish, period) but I heard that this is only possible to have both through the toolset. So is there any tutorial or better said does someone know how to do exactly that?

I'm scared of the toolset for obvious reasons, lol, but willing to try it for that...because FRECKLES. :o I want her to be close to my FF-version, after all.

Also Tup what tint did you use for the eyes of your Surana? I love it.  It's the kind of green I search for Lenya (because on xbox there are obviously NO green eyes, bleargh)

I'm assuming the video you're talking about is this thing right here, as I don't use facebook.

[Edit] Right. It is then. Hooray! Woo! Exclamation.

Still not keen on taking the conversation system from Mass Effect and slapping it into Dragon Age, but at least they don't seem to have hired a talentless, monotone robot to do the voice over this time. Always a good start.

Damn.  I got too curious about the voice.  I watched it.  I think the rumors about Vaughan's voice actor being Hawk are right.

@Meril - I wish I could tell you, but I'm not sure which eyes I used.  I made her face in the toolset, but then I exported it as a mop preset and put it in the CC.  I changed her eyes, nose and hair there, so I'm not sure which eye color this is.  They are slightly darker in the game.  I brightened her face in photoshop.

Edit - my big problem with her face right now is, with this hair, it's kinda hard to tell she's an elf.

Thanks. Still not impressed. Not at all. Will that ever change? I guess not, lol.

However, no prob, tup, then I'll look through the tints myself...already watched a tutorial on creating a toolset character and willing to give it a shot, since there are so many more options and fine-tuning possible.

Now someone here who can help me with the freckle- problem? ^_^

@Meril - I still haven't figured out freckles and scars.  I'll bet Storm would know.

Thanks. I didn't mean freckles and scars. I need freckles and facial tattoos, since freckles normally replace the tattoos in the CC, AFAIK ;)

Actually Niire is one who used freckles, I don't even have the file, sorry :(

But Niire has a blog with all her mods, and those files are listed.  I have tattoos and scars only, oh which reminds me, I haven't put the scars files in my mod blog, thanks!

Right.  Scars work the same way.  I've never known how to use them.   I did download a preset face that had both a scar and tattoo, and it worked.  I just don't know how it worked in the toolset.  I imagine freckles would work the same.  Anyway, sorry.  I know that's no help to you.

Depends on the mod. But I think most are skin texture files which would be in tab one of the object viewer. If the author made it a facial mask like a tattoo, then it would be in the second tab where you add tats. Problem with that method is for Dalish and DC where the CC will override any tat added in the toolset. The way around this would then be to use the DA Face Replacer.

Scars are skin textures, not tattoos, so you can have both with no problems in the toolset.  You can use them in the CC if they are in the chargen, they are additions to the skin on the first line, I believe

Lol, ninja'd  :)

I'm looking forward to DA2. My biggest fear is that it will be too short since it's not going to be as long as DAO.

The combat looks daunting, but then, so did DAO's when I first started playing so I think I'll be able to adapt to that.

And I have to faith in the story and character interaction. It's NOT being written by the ME writers so my fears about losing character interaction and story goodness are small. Not non-existent however. The characters (and despite my obvious swooning, NOT just Alistair) are what keep me coming back to DA day after day.

Ah well... we'll know soon enough. Three months from today.

While the DA writers are very good, as people who did Miranda's romance know the camera angle is also a gotcha.

I like Miranda's romance and her acting is top notch butt:

yeah.

I am cautious about DA2, and am praying that it does not turn into Dragon Effect 2: Now with MOAR spandex and clevage!

The whole "LOOK, BOOBIES. LOOK, A BUTT." stuff just makes me sigh.  Also, I really want them to update the toolset. Mods are a drug, and I am addicted.

As someone who once or twice a year would play a video game if my husband came home with something that looked interesting, I'm a little cautious too. I haven't put this thing down since my first playthrough and it has taken over my life, lol. I understand that they want to make it bigger, faster, louder, etc... I'm worried that it is going to loose the things that I love about this game, I mean, I liked God of War but that's not what I want from DA2.

Schratty, I am a guy that has to agree with you. Too much can be waaaaay too much. I am more of a "more is less" kind of guy, so all the barely there outfits in ME got boring fast.

For me it's the romances/well scripted dialogues and great background detail that really make DA:O, I also like the perks added by making the toolset available...

Also agreed. It's fairly depressing that of all the female squad members you pickup, the only one with an outfit that seems at all practical is worn by a person who has allergic reactions to the air.

Not to mention Samara's thousand year old cleavage. Nrrrrgh.

*is downloading mods to external HDD now*

Is it just me or is this whole mod-business complicated? I currently learn new funny words like Chargen, or which file to delete so that my new system won't explode on the instant. Well but I guess my head will ...soon. Confusing stuff is confusing.

Where we are at the confusing thingies, I still didn't get what to do so that I can use tattoos + freckles. Hey be patient with me, y'all have a year advantage of experiences with all the stuff unlike me, so please SPEAK SLOWLY with me, lol.

I'm attempting to play ME again, and it's not just Miranda.  Last night I went from the scene where you're called in to talk to the consort (jiggly ass-shake on a tight close-up) to talking to the consort (snuggling up to my female Shepard whom she had just met.... personal space mean anything to you?!) to Chora's Den and the lapdances.

Uh.  Yeah.  So I guess I'll go talk to Kaidan about his headaches.  Fun game!

Lol, I felt exactly the same way when I got the pc version (and sometimes still do) but you'll get the hang of it!

Sorry, can't help with the freckles.

I just hope there's another face and voice I can fall in love with in DA2. Because, truth be told, I'm going to miss this one:
