Esbat, if you go to the Wiki sometimes you get representations of a specific shield or sword...

At any rate this is the Theirin family shield... Two mabaris (Calenhad was a mabari keeper) one wielding an axe the other a scepter...

Apologies for the teasing I really look forward to the pictures of your figurine, I'm sure Alistair would approve +10...

I never even thought about using the DA Wiki, all I do there is read the dialogue exchanges and look up codex entries for my Fic. HOT DAMN ITS GOT A WHOLE ENTRY ON EAMON'S SHIELD!  Thank you so much, Maria!

My Google-Fu is only defeated by my own obliviousness.

And I do enjoy a good teasing, but yeah I'll make sure to share the WIP and final shots of the figure when its done. I'm gonna dismember a couple of Boromir and Eomer figures to get some proper limbs (and save time on the articulation) otherwise I'm envisioning it with at least 20+ points of articulation so expect him in some candid shots being harassed by Wonder Woman and possibly Supergirl.

@Tigress- Just had a minute to check. It doesn't appear in Installed Overrides, only in the bottom area of mods in mod folders (it was the only place it would let me put it), when I right click & select install, it says it's already installed.  I really don't mind it as it is, I just can't select anythin special.  I can see it in the override folder in documents.  Maybe when I get time, I can try to config from there.

You might have to point Modmanger to where it installed.  You can change that under the Options Tab.  Not sure if that's the problem, but it might be worth a look.

I can't get Mods to work....at all.

Is this correct that I have two core folders under packages? One is normally called core and the other one called "core_ep1" but none of them had the override folder, so I created one in the "core" folder and extracted there the mods. Still except for tucked hairs, which was a DAZip file I believe, none of the extracted mods are working. (I installed DA-Zip data within the DA-updater and it is shown as enabled under DLC's...but there is no content in game, nor gameplay changes.... such as no starting abilities. It didn't work.

Not to mention that one of my RAM slots is broken, so yeah....so far I hate my new Comp. :(

*is frustrated*

Meril, are you using the MyDocuments/BioWare/DragonAge/packages/core pathline, or the Programs/DragonAge/packages//core pathline? You want to use the MyDocuments pathline.

Meri, I am not computer genius but I've just checked my computer file structure, I have a core folder then an override subfolder within the core.  I extracted all the zips in the override subfolder and most in turn create subfolders in the override subfolder which then means they work...

A bust RAM slot, you poor thing, give the company grief!!!

I installed it on partition D, not on my windows one, because it's the bigger partition. I have no DA-folder under "My documents", so I created a override folder there into the large program folders. So that is the prob...eh?

Guess the install is faulty then, huh? Okay I will de and reinstall it one more time. Well it's only the third time then. I slowly believe that PC and DA:O are not meant to be for me. Sigh.

Yeah, I'll phone them on Monday...I can't open the system myself and check what is wrong...but even within the BIOS Menu I have only 2GB (of 4) displayed. So something IS fishy here, after all.

Meril, that could be why then. With Win7 there should be a mydocuments pathline for the game.

Crap, now I tried to deinstall it but it says to me that "Dragon Age was not found on this computer" but if I click the game...it's still running. Any way to work around that?

Tigress: I know what I'm doing! \\\\o/ *giggles excitedly* Don't kow when I'll be able to sit down and do it, but I am wicked excited!

Meri:  Did you try going in through Add/Remove Programs?  If it's not there, then you might have to do a manual search and delete.

Week Five Prompt:  First Meeting

This can be the PC first meeting Alistair (or vice versa) or Alistair meeting someone else for the first time.

So tempting. I need to write a first meeting anyway.

Still kind of shy about potentially atrocitous grammar and awkward wording.

O.o

Are you installing under the same user account? Are you an admin user?

If the game is running, there has to be the Bioware folder somewhere. Have you tried running a search?
The path for the savegames and all the other stuff should be
C:\\Users\\USERNAME\\Documents\\Bioware\\DragonAge per default (I don't think you can change that).

Edit: This path is for Windows 7. I'm not sure if the Bioware folder is "versteckt", it's possible that you simply can't see it, but it's still there.

Before making an unnecessary uninstall, have you checked that you have a path like this?:
C:\\Documents and Settings\\(whatever your name is)\\My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\.....directory???
(it isnt called DA, it should begin with Bioware in your mydocuments folder)

DA-updater service? The one under the program files? God I'm too dumb for PC-games, it seems. Now I have a corrupted install I can't get rid off. Great, just great.

Hey meri, when you start the game, and are in the title screen, there is a thing to click called "downloadable content. You can download all the DLC that you have ordered from there, and it will reinstall

Edit:
@Esbatty - I like Alistair in the Warden Commander Armor!

Someone posted a picture of a naked reclining Alistair behind a goblet, could they post that again? Hubby's agreed to make me a firefox background and I think that would be suitable...

We don't know if that is the family shield. That is the heraldry of the kingdom of Ferelden according to the wikia.

Seeing how House Cousland and the ternir of Highever have different symbols, it is entirely possible that House Therein and the Kingdom have different symbols too.
In fact, I think it's almost mandatory. To have the Therein family shield as the symbol of Ferelden, as if saying that Ferelden is a family property, is too arrogant to be Fereldan.
