Glad to be of service. Since I can't get RDT shots up, at least I can provide a laugh, then someone else can give their screen a bath. Would that be called "Ritual Bath Tuesday?"

Rak, I'm still jumping up and down with happiness!!!

@ rak - Excellent! Do your patients think you're cool because you're a gamer? Some of mine do. Yikes, I can RDT on mine, but if you do yours, your mother will kill you!

I try to keep it on the DL for the most part.  One time I was doing a filling on guy who was about 20yrs old.  I was talking to my assistant about my lost weekend where I was up playing video games the whole time.  Then I said, I don't think I'm marriage material, what guy would put up with that.  My patient then raises his hand.

But yea, my mom is the only thing keeping the peace.  What is it about the receptionists and their power mongering?

Just about every guy who also plays games, I imagine.

I was a receptionist.   A nice one at that Image IPB  But if you really want to know it's because of the constant exposure to all the whining and the stupid.  Not to mention you're situated on the front lines where you receive the brunt of the dissatisfied client's wrath and overtime you just stop caring and eventually lose your faith in humanity.  Will let you know though that I worked at a real estate firm and it could be different at a dentist/ortho's office.

Edit:  Reminiscing about my days at Century 21 makes me want to put this up...

Mine has taken passive aggression to an art form!

I work with my husband and he can barely turn on a computer. He thinks I'm insane. He did like the IRS Alistair, though...... Wonder why? :innocent:

One of my chairside assistants is also a gamer, so we spend a lot of time talking about gaming with the kids. It keeps them at ease and we seem slightly less terrifying. The parents look at us like we're speaking Chinese, though.  I do have a "rep" at school as the cool mom. I'm dealing with a different age group, so it's probably different than what you deal with.  So was the guy cute at least?:wizard:

I think Randi is doomed to not have Sten in her party. Either that, or the game is glitched... I can't tell since I've never come across this before. Randi talked to Sten, and basically blew him off, leaving the quest ! above his head. I'd already decided when beginning this playthrough that if I saw quest markers on people, I'd talk to them until I got the quest (or else I'd wind up having to record every quest I didn't pick up). So, I talked to Sten again, and finally got the quest for him.

But, his cage isn't clickable. So, I went to talk to the Reverend Mother and wound up getting no help from her.

Does anyone know why Sten's cage isn't clickable? Randi's a rogue with lockpick and has Leilana in her group (yes, she managed that, thankfully), but we can't interact with the cage to open it. Is that a plot thing or a bug?

@ Tigress - I think since I installed the latest patch, the cage has not been clickable.

@ Sky - there is something special about dental receptionists, trust me.

Here's a shot of Randi's first decapitation. I was so proud of her!

Okay, Raine's first kill in this game.  Dairren is dead on the floor, Dog is chomping on her arm, but she managed to get the decap, anyway.  Fortunately, Dog blocks the, um, full view of Dairren  :D

*snipped

Heh.  And we know why poor Dairren is lying there on the floor instead of killed in his own bedroom.  I had a wonderful NSFW unblocked shot of him that I posted for my friends when I first discovered NB.  My friend called it his fortuitous flagpole.

And what is it with all this talk about dental receptionists?  That was my very first job ... for my father.  It is so NOT a good idea to work as a receptionist for your dad.  :?

Hmmm... I've had 1.04 installed since it came out and haven't had a problem clicking his cage until now.  But, I did have some fixpack mods installed that I de-installed while trying to troubleshoot some horrible frame rate issues I was having... I wonder if one of those "fixed" his cage for me.  Grrrr.

So what happens if Randi ends up going after a romance with three people at once?

Bob approves of nutty DC antics by the way, even though all the fame is going to go to his head.

@ Tigress

I think Sten's cage isn't pickable unless, during the course of the conversation, one of your party suggests releasing him. Example!

Morrigan: This is a powerful creature, trapped as prey for the darkspawn. If you cannot find a use for him, I suggest releasing him for mercies sake alone.

...which you only get if you pick certain conversation choices. So, uh. Hmm.

[Edit] Seems that way anyway, after quickly trying it out. If I skip through the conversation in such a way that nobody suggests letting him out, the cage isn't pickable. When Alistair suggested it, it was. I don't think you can trigger that dialogue after already talking with him once, though.

Oh yes!!! Something special, and evil. What I wouldn't give for Crushing Prison at about 5:30, when  the reception area is packed, and she's calling back telling me to hurry up.  Envision RDT shot here - preferably decapitation.

Nice head lop Tigress! Randi is coming along just fine.

@Giggles - Believe me, I've thought about that! If that somehow happens, it will wind up a roll of the die as to which she finally chooses. However, I'm guessing it will be my luck she alienates everyone though and goes through this entire game without getting any tent time!

@Bleetman, that could very well be true and I did not get that suggestion from anyone. And if that's true then I have to decide if I'm going to be anal about completing all the quests in my journal or if I'm going to let Sten rot. Ugh! We aren't out of Lothering and this is already complicated!!

@Catspaw - Thanks! She's having a blast!

I just picked the lock on Sten's cage in my last Aeducan rogue playthrough.  I do have 1.04.  I guess it must've been Alistair who suggested bringing him along.  No one suggested opening the cage though.

I saw a polygamous couple once when I was seven out in BC.

My Dad gave me a very funny teaching off it to me though.

Or for you sister.  Relatives should not work in any close proximity.

@ Tigress, I'm realy not sure what could have caused the cage thing, but it won't click for me at all now.  I never use to have a problem.
