Okay, I just spammed all the other "gush" threads with the Male Cousland contest announcement. Maybe we can drum up some business!
I guess I'm really going to have to bring my A-game then
Aw lawd! I can't possibly imagine Strom being hotter than he is now.Unless of course you're bringing in someone different?
Edit: Also, I don't know if anyone else noticed, but Ximena offered to do a sketch to be one of the prizes. Assuming the other prizes are still in the plan.
That sounds pretty awesome as Ximena's artwork rocks my socks. No, sadly, Strom is going to sit this one out. I'm going to take Lady D's recommendation and create something new for the competition.

On the upside, using that All Items Visual Deluxe mod, I was able to find the panda, dog and cat hats.

Not only did it pick my absolute most hated origin/class/gender combination, but the results of the CC was... this:

I think I'll make my own character next time, whenever I actually play.

@Giggles - Re: Re-rolling once per game. I have actually thought about that, but haven't done it. However, I might be tempted if roll to execute Alistair. I hope I don't give into temptation though because the whole reason I started this playthrough was to experience some of the different storylines and conversations.
@Rak - The final approvals numbers would be interesting to review. But, we'd need to control the gift-giving then. I've been giving everyone their special gifts, but have been saving the generic ones for a rainy day.
@tuppence - Re: Alistair inspecting your diced warden. He does seem intent, doesn't he? I've been finding it funny that while he doesn't much care for Randi yet, he still seems fascinated with her bottom.
@Meri - I love how you play Lenya so true to form, despite Alistair's disapproval. Your screenshots are great!
@inclemency - Those hats are a hoot!
@bleetman - The floral arrangement line had me laughing, thanks for a great wakeup!
@Yankee - Thanks for spamming the gush threads! I'm really looking forward to this contest.
@LadyD - Dawna sounds like she's doing great so far! I was all excited with Randi because after her initial convo with Alistair he was at +2. But, by the end of Ostagar he was at a -6. So a +3 is good!
@Yuki - Oh you poor girl. This is exactly why I did not let all of Randi's CC be left to chance.
@Esbatty - Yeah, apparently Randi's started a fad. She's pretty much in shock at this point.
@Catspaw - Great shot! Glad you figured it out!

Kharva cursed the day she welcomed the overly generous Mabari into her good graces as she tried her damnedest to get the blood and putrified animal fluids from her Tevinter robes. For some reason Ohgren, with almost a pretenatural sense of bad timing, had used the one good rock in the camp site to finally wash his handkerchief thus leaving it in a state unfit for anythng beyond use as a plague spreading siege projectile. The Elven mage now found herself using her knuckles and knee with a bit of purloined soap to clean the evidence of the hound's filthy gift from the lap of her robe.
Masked by the mumbled curses of the Elven Grey Warden the last Theirin decided to take advantage of the absence of their companions and crept as quietly as possible behind the tiny woman. The Maker seemed to be granting Alistair a small bit of favor, as he already stripped down to his small clothes in preparation of his weekly bath, and realized for once he was finally on the otherside of an ambush. A cheshire grin spread across his face right before he took position and then pounced.
It took a moment for Kharva to realize exactly what was happening. Water was all about her and she felt strong limbs wrapped about her thin waist. Having never learned to swim, thanks to an unspoken rule by Ferelden's Templars, she shut her eyes and remained completely still out of both shock and fear. Beneath the water all she could hear were her heartbeats backed by deep ominous laughter. She had often thought about diving off the small island that housed the Circle Tower in Lake Calenahd but she always imagined the slow sinking death would be rather unpleasant once her air ran out.
Again a pair of strong arms wrapped about her and suddenly she was free of her watery grave.
"Maker's breath! Its only knee deep water, did you hit your skull? DID YOU HIT YOUR SKULL?!?" Alistair's tone went from mirthful to loud and panicked.
Her eyes opened slowly and watched as relief began spread over the ex-Templar's face before spitting a mouthful of water into it. Alistair coughed and sputtered while he released the woman.
"And what was THAT about? You know I can't swim."
"You *cough* don't have to *cough* know... its knee deep. Besides I figured as an Elf you could float - you know 'one with nature' and all."
Kharva just stared at her under dressed companion.
"Ah - I didn't mean to be offensive."
"No I am not staring because of that. I'm staring because you're naked and I have no clue as to why."
"Naked? But I'm -" a small breeze quickly changed his mind before he dropped to his knees to hide his shame. "Alright, I believe you. Now would you mind?"
"Mind what, you - you... swooper? No better than the Barbarians from the Korcari Wilds."
"You can either turn around so I can bathe or you can hand me my - my - unmentionables."
"Yes, well why mention them then?"
"Ha ha, funny. Now seriously, make with my smallclothes or leave me to my task."
Kharva thought about it a moment, relishing in the reddening that spread across his scruffy face.
"Still waiting", Alistair spoke.
"Hey, I am the one in charge now - Templar."
"Whoa whoa so far you've always been in... oh. This is some kind of weird Mage fantasy scenario to you, isn't it? Been dreaming of gettin' one of us at your tender mercies, right - Mage?"
She felt her own face warm a bit, "No."
"Lies", he grinned.
"I think - I shall freeze the water. Let you cool your Chantry repressed - depravity a bit."
"Depravity? Me? You're the one holding me and my dignity hostage."
"Oh ho, no you started this with your watery groping."
"Groping? It was a spot of fun. Thats it, pure jesting between - between..."
"Between?"
"You ever say a word enough times that it loses all meaning?"
"Between?"
"See we're clearly already lost. Let us move on. Speaking of which has Wynne brought back my cheese wheel?"
The mage began waving her hands above her head in an overly dramatic fashion for even such a small spell as she was tempted to cast. Alistair's eyes immediately locked on the hand gestures.
"Alrightalrightalright, between - uhh - between very good sometimes flirtatious with that kiss that one time with the need for more practice... friends?"
Kharva put her hands down and her friend let loose an audible sigh of relief.
"Friends, huh?"
"Well - is that what you want us to be?"
"Look I'm not threatening you anymore you can drop the nervousness, Alistair."
"I know that but you know me I'm just a big bundle of nerves with incredibly well kept hair."
The Elf rolled her eyes.
"Would you mind we have this conversation later when I'm a bit more collected and alot less naked?"
"Fine, now find Wynne's soap YOU made me drop - and make sure to scrub well and get all the filth off. I don't want any of that stench on my body or any of my things."
"Whoa, what kind of conversation are we having that requires me to - wait. I am not filthy. I'll have you know I just smell and look, and probably taste, very manly."
Kharva turned around and started to slowly walk away, "No, I was talking about my robe you rudely interruped the washing of, and make it snappy. By the by, I believe Morrigan has collecting leeches from there."

On a completely different note... the only thing I'm not liking about doing this playthrough with Randi is that I have to have subtitles on for the pics in my blog. They are soooooo distracting!
And here, have a kiss, compliments of Bera. Figured that's a good way to start the day.

Okay, it's confirmed, the Panda helm, as well as the dog and cat helms are from Dark Times
I am going to have to go on an expedition for them! On a side DT note, I found the treasure chest in the camp lake with the book for the leth, before I battled the statues. I thought you needed to battle the statues first.
@Cat - nice shot!
@Esbatty - nice story!

rak, thanks for the confirmation, I was thinking you had to do the Statue Battles first, good to know you dont! Next time through DT, I need to write things down because I have a shockingly bad memory these days.

Yeah my comp is still here and still got not picked up by the company. Need to phone them next week again but I ask myself how much sense that makes within the old year? I don't think I'll have it back in time to my free week (12/24- 01/03), when I send it on its way next week. Meh.
Guess I play a bit...so be ready for screenie-attack, lol.

Esbatty, wonderful story.
tgail, nice shot.
Catspaw, also nice shot, that scene has a lot of passion.
An update on little Di. She made it through Ostagar with a pet, and she shall name him Lucky. She is sometimes violent killing the prisoner, but yet compassionate saving the wounded soldier. She first thought Alistair was no fun, but then was all eager to see him in a dress. She likes Morrigan, apparently, and just before Lothering Alistair is -1 and Morrigan is +4. Although she has been wishy-washy, still on an even keel with the companions so far.
