Here is something a little AU from what my canon Cousland and Alistair might do on a typical morning.
Splitting Hairs
Dan stepped out of Leliana's tent to another cold Ferelden morning. As he pulled his robes tighter around him, he noticed Alistair was already awake and standing next to the large camp fire. He was looking in the direction of Morrigan's tent as Dan had caught him doing on several mornings before, and sensing Alistair had not noticed his approach, he snuck up to the former Templar.
"Alistair!"
Alistair spun around reaching for the sword that was not on his waist. "Maker's Breath! Would you stop doing that?"
"Never. I swear as intently as you were staring over there, the Archdemon itself could have snuck up on you."
Alistair blushed, "Over where? I wasn't really staring at anything."
"Over there, towards Morrigan's tent. What is it about her that makes you stare like that? Is it.."
"Just stop right there! I have no interest in Morrigan that way, and you know it."
"Was it not you who said she was beautiful? Was it not you who mentioned she had a nice sway to her step back in Lothering? You do find her attractive, this I know," said Dan.
"That was until she spoke. I have no interest in her now. None. Nope. Nothing," denied Alistair.
"That so? Then why is this not the first time I have caught you staring at her tent? Hmmm?"
"I am concerned for her safety, that's all. I mean she is quite valuable. That is...I mean...her magic is quite valuable to the group."
Dan looked at his friend. Alistair had become a little fidgety, so Dan pressed. "And you have no desire to...join her...in her tent? None at all? Not even dreamt about it?"
"No! I...you mean...no! We're not like you and Leliana. You two can hardly keep your hands off each other. Morrigan and I would never be like that. Never"
"Ah ha! So you have thought about at least a physical thing with Morrigan," Dan persisted.
Alistair became flustered. "I never said that! You are putting words into my mouth. I never said I lusted after Morrigan. I said she was attractive and beautiful, but never that I wanted to bed her!"
"Alistair, now you are just splitting hairs. Either you do or you don't. I am not going to judge you one way or the other," Dan teased. He could see his friend and comrade getting more nervous. Wary of revealing something.
"I am not! I have no interest in Morrigan in that way! I just wish she...well...she were ugly to match her attitude."
"She's not so bad, Alistair. She just likes to tease you because of your past."
"Now who's splitting hairs? I just wish..I had someone like you do. I see you and Leliana..and the only other woman here is...HER," he said pointing to Morrigan's tent.
Dan sensed the time to tease his friend was over. "Don't worry, Alistair. You will find a woman. And she will beautiful and charming, and will not call you names. I was lucky. And sometimes, that is all it takes. You'll meet her, and before you know it..well," he joked. "Like Fergus used to tell me, your life will change when you meet her."
"I hope so"
Dan turned to head back to Leliana's tent, and whispered "And she will have her hands full with you."

That's a good shot, inclemency. I am really looking forward to getting back to a "real" game where I can romance Alistair and begin finding all the hidden origin specific stuff I've missed.
On a completely different note... I found a bug! Not surprisingly, Randi isn't very well liked in the Dalish camp and Varathorn wouldn't trade with her. She talked to him again, picked up his quest, and then tried trading one more time, getting the same reply from him as before. However, I hit escape when that reply started to exit the cutscene and the trade window popped open despite his telling me he won't do business with her.
Having never pissed the Dalish off that badly, I have no idea if this is a "normal" bug or not.

Rage, good story! I was getting a little worried there at the beginning, but I enjoyed it!
The Dice Warden chronicles can get very frustrating at times, but when big plot points come up, I find it really exciting. It's a whole new thing to go through this story, not knowing what will happen.
Nettle went to Orzammar first. She agreed to work with Harrowmount. When she returned with the crown, she gave it to Bhelen instead, and this was after siding with Branka and saving the Anvil.
Alistair tried very hard to talk her out of saving the anvil, and it almost worked. But Zev covinced her that she was right to save it. Crowning Bhelen seemed the next logical step. She must've known how dangerous it would be to leave Harrowmount in control of all those golems.
I miss this guy.

So we continue where we left of, this is the big bad war...and Lenya feels something akin to fear...while Alistair seems to be asleep somehow. Hey you stupid shemlen; WAKE UP!
After surviving that rather explosive bridge, Lenya get to know that the Joining isn't the worst part of this day. Two men tells them that the tower had been taken..by *gasp* darkspawn. She decided to put on her poker face...
...and take the wrath she feels out on the darkspawn instead.
Meatshield one and Meatshiled two, how she had named their other human companions that insisted to follow are a bit unhappy about their new names, though. And won't regard her one bit. Not that she would care. They are only meatshields for her, after all.
Alistair is working to earn his second nickname after puppy, which is Captain obvious.
You know a day is bad when you ran up three floors in a tower just to get covered in Ogre spit at the top of the floor.
And alas such days have the tendecy to get worse. So even after felling the ogre, Lenya can't get a frikkin break and got shot down by the approaching darkspawn. Great.

Heh, thank you ^^ . However two things you need to be mentally prepared of Zjar. One thing she will ignore Leliana very much (she is not really fond of her in the first place, to put it mildly)...and the second....I play with a modded SA-Leliana *cough* After a year of vanilla I needed some change, which is also the reason why I have installed DA:redesigned. Most the times the faces of the NPC's are really a lot...improved. I have a modded Sten too, though. Others than the both I won't touch the companions, but somehow I would love another hairstyle for Zevran later on. I hate braids.

After completing Lothering he is at minus 32.Heh. Err yeah, I think I'll throw many gifts at his head to get it into more normal parts of the approval bar again. The rest of their relationship is long and hard work with much patience needed, as I intend it to be.
And I have completely forgotten to comment on Rage's story, sorry. While the thought of Alistair and Morrigan is rather creepy in my books, I loved the camaraderie between your Warden and Alistair. Their banter were all in good fun and a blast to read. ^^

Thanks, Meri. In my playthrough and canon, Alistair and Morrigan never do physically connect except the DR simply because my pc will not cheat on Leliana. At that point Alistair has still not found the right woman. And Anora is definitely out of the pitcure for him as well. This little scenario occurs around the time my charcter enters Orzammar after their return to Ostagar. Alistair here has a little desire to have what the warden and Leliana have, but feels hopeless in that Morrigan is the only one there. So this little banter is where my warden tells Alistair that if he wants the sex, then do it. If he wants more than that, then to be patient. Alistair choses patience after this.

You really did do a good job conveying that, Rage. He is looking for someone to love and there is no Fem!warden in that universe for him, I felt bad for him.

After modding most of my companions when I was first able to, I prefer all of them vanilla now. But I did like this Zev morph. His was the last to be deleted. I did like a dark-haired Zev.
