The only way I survived the battle was keeping morrigan way back out of it and she could mop up the remaining darkspawn after everyone else was dead

Haven't seen this in a while, either  :)

I bum rushed the bridge for sh!ts and giggles, seemed to work out all right for me... granted, Morrigan had cast Mass Paralysis and then tempest'd the pants off of the other end of the bridge....

One of these days I'm gonna have to try out that mod and set the game on NIghtmare with 5/5 mod setting just for some sh!ts & giggles. I promise I'll post some pics ;)

I"m working my way up to that, Sky! That battle was at 3-4 on Nightmare. I"m now playing on 4-4 on Hard/Normal.

I've had so much fun with RavAGE

@Glor, with the RavAGE settings so high, it was suprisingly difficult, which was very fun.  Lol, has been a long time since my party died and died again!

Ah if only I had a computer that allowed me to play games and enjoy using mods... my current heap of crap can barely run Diablo II on medium graphics....

Ah well, a console player I shall remain

I used the bum-rush on Nightmare+ when I was using it. Myself, DW warrior-Alistair S/S warrior-Leliana Ranger/Archer-and Morrigan as a controller. She uses Nightmare a lot in my games. Puts all of the enemies to sleep, then just go in and wipe them out one at a time. hehe

Lol, Yankee!

@Ceb - ToP means Top of Page, and yes, we try to always post a pic there.   There is a mod that makes the game more difficult and it is great.    It's called slink's S3 RavAGE.  Trying to find the nexus link but I don't have links in this firefox yet

I put the link in the above post, found it.

It's pretty amazing, you can adjust the number of extra mobs, how tough they are, whether they drop items, which items you'd like dropped, whether they use/wear those items, etc. It's pretty flexible.

Lol, at 4-4 setting I was level 8 by the time I exited the Tower of Ishal! Ogres and those darkspawn bear things, and Wild Drakes, and extra mobs, really fun!

I've worked my way up from level 1-0 as I've played, game by game.  Sometimes I have to play on Normal if I go up a level, then the next game can be on Hard, the next Nightmare, then jump again...it's great

Edit: @Glor - I fell in love with Dragon Age on my Xbox. Fortunately I could go ahead and get the PC version

3am, time to get some sleep, and I'll leave you with Alistair, Raine wearing 'The Hat', Ser Gilmore and Dog

If they had that hat ingame I would go back to playing a mage.... Gandalf the Grey will add a defeat of the blight to his many accomplishments

And yes, there is always a LotR shout-out in any character I play.... I am a Tolkien fanatic :P

Cebo - Nothing wrong with playing the same character more than once. I've kind of done that with Marlana. ;)

Sometimes I think I'm weird since it feels like I'm the only one who plays this game only on the PC. No consoles for me.

I've played my main canon at least 4 times. Replay them as much as you like.

@Storm - Great Top!  And I've noticed several of your screenies showing your party in that great blue armor.  Is that a UDK custom color you've added?

Re:  RAVAge - by all means, those who play on a PC need to get this.  It really makes the idea of replays much more attractive.  I just love how versatile it is.

@Reika - I've played Tig countless times... never get tired of my favorite Dalish Elf saving the world and snatching the man of her dreams.  And, you are not alone in being solely a PC player... I don't own a console and probably never will unless Bioware stops making games for the PC.

And I'll start my favorite day of the week by posting another shot of Bera's butt.

Haha, I decide to check the thread this morning and the first thing I was greeted by was Bera's well-formed butt. Today must be Thursday. ;)

Is Cibran your handsome avatar? If so, I will require screens (and lots of them) of his adventures. ;)

Good morning!

Nope, nothing wrong with replaying the same character. While I thought  my mage was going to be my end-all, do-all, be-all main alt, it was my rogue that I really felt an instant connection to, which is why I have him in my forum photo and artwork commission. I've played him twice already - the only reason I haven't done it a third time is that I have other games to keep me occupied.

I'm a PC gamer as well - the last console I bought was a Super Nintendo, which should tell you how long ago that was! The only reason I still have it is because once in a while I like to fire up "Aerobiz Supersonic", a really fun airline business simulator.

Dangit - now I feel like dredging through my closet for the thing.  Image IPB

I play the game only on a pc. I have an alienware M17x which I love. Nothing like portability DAO gaming. I also play the same character over and over. I have grown fond of my mage and I choose different specializations. This last time I chose spirit healer so I'd never have to take Wynne with me, lol. Sorry but she made a pass at my Alistair in RTO and I was right there and that was after she lectured me about my relationship with him. I always choose arcane warrior too because I just love that magic combat, so cool. Every game, my warden gets Alistair in the end, thanks to the mod. I have never been able to have him do the US, just can't bring myself to do it, but I'm thinking that I want him to just be a warden and walk off into the sunset with me and kiss the crown and Eamon goodbye.

@ sevalaricgirl: Haha, I understand your feelings towards Wynne. I very much wanted to feed her to that ogre in RtO. I, personally, like the Grey Warden ending. It's the way  I always bring my Strom (my avatar) playthroughs to a close, though they're not actually in a romance - just a "bromance" ;)
