Besides, were there even hair-sticking-up products in medieval times? XDerrant_knight wrote...

Never heard of Valeria... Is it a Campaign or integrated into the Warden's quest?
Heres the link

Its pretty fun but Dark Times is still my favorite of the mods.

I remember reading something about hair gel made from flax seeds in medieval times... You can make hair product from a number of natural ingredients anyway. Hair product isn't a recent invention, the real question is how common the usage of it was amongst soldiers xD

Do the Valeria or Carrion Birds mods either add an overabundence of loot to the game? I just got the random encounter where Wynne first uses vessel of the spirit, and I got way too much stuff:
7 potent health potions,
8 aloe vera, which has obviously been added to the game for unknown reasons,
A large silver bar,
and over 9 gold (!)
Now, I can really use those health potions, but I shouldn't have them, or the gold. This more than doubled my wealth in one random encounter, and just made the Jarvia fight a heck of a lot easier. Bah. Maybe I should sell them. But then I'll have even more money. I could destroy them, but that seems stupid, too. Someone needs to make a mod where you can turn in game breaking loot to the allied supply crates in exchange for some small amount of XP.
Edit: It was the Valeria mod that added the loot. If that continues, I may ask if they could make it possible to disable the non-gameplay needed loot. One doesn't expect mods to add loot to encounters outside the mod itself.
I got a ton of loot. The Herbs are supposedly for alchemy for another area you get to in the mod. I got stuck at that freaking puzzle so I temporarily disabled it.
I stored all the gems that you can get at the supply crates.
I definitely agree you should not get that much loot especially if you are early in the game. The extra potions I used for that one area.

The nobility may have used products, but I doubt a guy who grew up the way Alistair did would, especially while living in the field. He probably feels like shaving regularly as he does is going above and beyond.

If it wasn't common there are always undocumented exceptions, lol.
And he does admit to having an obsession with his hair, so it's possible!

@Rage- screen got a coffee bath this time - but then you made me cry all over the keyboard. Oh so sad....I need to crawl back into a first night save to cheer up.
@Meri - Auraya is really pretty. She should be really fun to play. I'm sure our resident males will like looking/leering at her.
@Lady D - so does this make me naughty if all I noticed at first was "Happy Ali". Yep, firmly in the dirty mind crowd.
@Storm - Christmas Pandas!!! ROFL. Especially with that unicorn horn. Coffee bath, again. Note to self, must get animal ****** hats!

Some one on DeviantArt drew a comics mentioning Alistair having a grooming kit. I would not be surprised if he wiped it out before the battle and slapped a hair net on XD

Are you using tha balistas(sp?). You can set it to easy & just finish it too, so you don't have to start from the begining.

@Phedre - Did you ever figure out the Phoenix thing? Bodahn doesn't have the Phoenix stuff the first time you see him in camp because that's a staged camp (due to the dream you have and waking up there). If you leave camp and come back, he should have it.
@Rage - I'm so sorry. I know I'm not Leilana, but have a Tig *hug* and sorry it's several hours too late.
@Tupp - Drunkistair, eh? And now we get to see if you get the redeemer or US ending. Man, I so don't want to take Randi to the LM now.
And for the REAL Monday Derp, finally...

Good news is I am now back on a happier run, even changed my avi to show the new character I am playing, the future queen of Ferelden.
Edit for one of many Di moments:

You know, I think it's quite amusing that Alistair is still set on following the Warden instead of taking the lead, despite all the "horrible" decisions he or she makes. You would think that after the pc decides to kill Connor, Alistair would be upset enough to try and take the reins.

@Schratty - I know! Alistair has been so upset with Randi throughout so much of this game, it surprises me that he still has anything nice to say to her, but he does, once in awhile.

I think the reason might be twofold. 1) Deep down, Alistair knows that he put you in this position, so he shouldn't really criticize, for the most part. Then, as time goes on, he realizes he probably couldn't wrest control from you at that point. 2) It's a testament to how much damage has been done to his self esteem. He probably doesn't think he can do better.
