Schratty, I think Alistair is very duty driven even when he hates his fellow warden. He takes being a warden seriously (if you ever see the -100 approval speech this is very apparent). There are several places where a questionable decision is about to be made, or a npc my question something, and Alistair will point out that grey wardens do whatever is necessary to end the blight. He may not like the choices, but at the time figures they are necessary to fight the darkspawn. Leaving Redcliffe was one of these places where Di pointed out that fighting darkspawn was more important, and Alistair would not argue in front of Teagan that she was wrong to abandon the village.

Still, it's interesting: the Warden can do some really heinous things and Alistair sticks by them. And yet, no matter how close the two become in their travels, if you spare Loghain he abandons you. In a way, it makes sense, but...at the same time, it does seem somewhat hypocritical. But, I guess that's part of what gives his character depth.

Thanks Cat. Auraya will be fun to play, since she is my hyperactive and very enthusiastic "YAY FREEDOM! YAY WARDENS!" character xD I'm glad how she turned out in the CC as well. The long and hard search for a decent preset has paid off now. Honestly there are many hideous presets in another package I have. How could someone create/play with a preset like that and be serious about it o__O



Okay, another topic. Yes, it is about my profile again...it seems I have found the mistake and it's an easy one too. I played the whole time with console enabled, because it is more practical for me this way...though this seems to stop uploading anything but achievements (according to a thread). I have started the game now in the "normal" way and hope it works then again. Wish me luck xD

@ Merilsell: Yeah, I found out after some frustration that DA won't update if you run it with the console enabled.

P.S. I actually kind of like that preset.

Just finished a Landsmeet. Tricked Anora into thinking she would have my hot Cousland guy as her consort, then gave the throne to Alistair.

Yeah...now I know too, lol. I have made a few saves now ingame and et viola, the characters are already to find in my online storage. So they should appear soon in my profile. Also my custom pic, yay.

Oh really? That elf looks like the archdemon to me, lol. Best part is that you can't change those red demonic eyes or the scar...no matter what you do. Honestly I wish people would only create simple good looking presets one could use without having to think "WTF?" Heh. And since I have no access to the toolset...I'm a bit depending that people do exactly that and not another archdemon. Sucks, I know,  but I can't get the toolset to run... even if my live depends on it. Meh.

Also, the game would be over if you or Alistair killed each other. That, or you'd miss the whole Landsmeet/recruiting Loghain, and go straight to the end. If you got through that bit, but spared Loghain, Alistair would have to leave by saying, 'I don't have particularly strong feelings about this, but the developers don't want us both in the party, so...see ya!'

The characterization would make more sense if Alistair refused to go along with the Connor thing or helping Kolgrim, for example, but then he'd have to also refuse to tolerate a blood mage PC, etc. And you'd just end up with him leaving very early on. The game would fall apart.

@ Merilsell: Haha, I think it's kind of quirky. I like things that are a little on the wtf side. Sorry about the toolset being stupid and not working. If you're looking for something in particular morph-wise, I could probably help you out.

Morning, everyone!

I got up extra early so that I could finish my diced game before I have to turn my computer over to the big job I'm working on this week.

I got the Redeemer ending.  I did manage to finish all the battles with 2 companions (Loghain & Zev) going with Nettle and 2 (Oghren & Dog) left at the gate.  With a lot of help from the armies, they won, but it was really close at the gate.  Both Oghren and Dog were almost defeated by the time the battle finally ended.  At that was with the game turned down to Easy!  I guess I should've turned off Ravage.

There's an odd bug with Loghain.  I've seen this once before in my real Drunkenstair game.  Even though Nettle was at about 8 approval, the dice picked this option.

I'm telling you ... I think there's something seriously wrong with me!  Even this morning, I am still finding Loghain weirdly attractive.  If it wasn't for those stupid braids, I might have a real problem here.
